Do not go here. The doctor and office staff do not care enough to do anything more than they have to. I did a metabolic screening last year on November 4th 2014 with them and they didnt want to just do the blood draw and waist measurement which is all Aetna wanted, they told me it had to be a physical. So I did and didnt have any issues overall, but I came back this year for the same thing on November 2nd 2015 and was told that they wasnt sure it was covered because it had only been 363 days since the last one. My deadline is Nov 15th for the results. Then they told ME TO CALL AETNA. I have never been to an office where the staff make me try to figure out a coverage issue for them. Funny enough there was no coverage issue. I knew it was covered, but they were making me prove it to them because the doctor is incompetent and doesnt care. There was no doubt that it was covered because I told them my primary insurance last year was United Health, not Aetna, so it didnt matter. They had that info on file too and still wouldnt give me the physical and no one wanted to help me out, least of all the doctor. I was never given the option to get the physical. The doctor refused unless I proved to them it was covered. I never even saw the doctor. I only heard her getting irritated in some back room when the receptionist went to her to relay my questions. So first off, they will not do anything for you if they think it isnt covered, and on top of that, they wont lift a finger to even find out if its covered which is what any normal office that wants your business does for people. Imagine if I was an elderly person and they just threw my appointment in my face and told me to navigate through Aetnas phone system to ask a question that Im not even sure what to ask? They should be experts at figuring out what is covered and help the patient with this, but they dont care. They are lazy. The nurse didnt try at all. The doctor didnt care and refused to just order the blood draw. It had to be a physical and I should have been able to still get the physical, but they would not let me do that either because they were paranoid it wasnt covered. The lady at the front desk tried to call aetna but gave up after one call that got disconnected. I have never seen a doctors office with so many lazy people who just didnt care to try and help the patient. Do not ever go here.

I and my daughter have been patients at this practice for many years. The office staffing and patient serices have been going downhill. First, they no longer refill Rxs called in by a pharmacist. Second, I few weeks ago I was held up on my way to my appt. by a traffic accident, I called to tell them what was happening. Nobdy would answer the phone, I was sent to automated call response, no one responded, I left a message. I arrived aboiut 10 minutes late for the appt. The receptionist said she would check to see if Dr. Porter would see me, I told her I had called and left a message, she said she didnt get it. Dr. Porter refused to see me 10 minutes late, even though she had no patients waiting and it was not at the end of the day. I thought How many times havre I wated 30 or more minutes on her! How rude!! I was told to reschedule, I did. The day befoer my rescheduled appt. my father had open heart surery and his kidneys failed . I went to be with him. I called and left another message, since no one answered the phone. Today I recieved an email telling me I have been charged for the no show visits. I have had it.

Ive been a patient of Dr Porters for over three years . She is the best doctor Ive ever had and Im going on 50. She listens to my health concerns and tries to help me anyway she can. Ive always felt like she genuinely cares about my well being. I dont even want to move from this area because I know how hard it is to find a doctor that is thorough and compassionate. I read a lot of reviews/ complaints about the office staff. However, I refuse to lose the best doctor Ive ever had because the office staff is lacking in some way. I wonder how many people have taken their issues about the staff to her? She cant fix a problem if she doesnt know it exists. Also, some issues people are having could very well be due to The Affordable Health Care Act which is beyond her control. Another opinion I have, is people usually dont hesitate to complain but rarely go out of their way to praise. So dont believe everything you hear. I would highly recommend Dr Porter to my friends and loved ones!

Had an appointment and had to go to ER just before the appointment. Called Drs office after leaving ER explaining why I could not make the appointment and was still charged $40 for not giving a 24hr notice. Drs office verified I was at ER but still demanded payment and turned over fee to collections. Service is one thing at a time. The Dr does try to understand what your issue truly is but its expected. Prescription call ins do happen but not always and you may be forced to visit a clinic for refills between appointments if you havent been in the last 3 months. Do not come in with more than one issue per visit as explained its in the new health care laws and there has to be a seperation of needs. Follow ups or simple phone calls and a genuine connection are non existent, its all about the money. Make your appointment

I am extremely disappointed with the level of care at this facility. I don’t understand why it takes Dr. Brackin 5-9 days to push out and verify any prescriptions. I have spoken to my primary pharmacy techs and they informed me that prescriptions with her have always been a struggle. My spouse called Dr. Brackin’s office to inquire about his pending prescription and they always tell him the same thing, “It is waiting on her for verification, I will email her again.” This is just unacceptable, what a lack of care for patients and communication. I would not recommend this Medical Facility.

If you are a military member/spouse of one do not attend this Practice. The Doctors are okay and polite, but that is not who handles your paperwork, bills, complaints, issues or who you spend 99% of your time with. They are short with patients and do not handle your paperwork, referral request and will not return your phone calls. they love to blame the insurer on the mix up, but believe me that is not the case. They take long breaks(lunch, smoke, sleep). Wont fax documents in a timely manner. Answer the phone when they feel like it. We are switching our provider today.

Personally I had no issues with Dr. Brackin she was always friendly. However, her office staff was the worst Ive ever experienced; They are rude, never customer focused, and dont except to ever get a call back from them regarding anything... hope you are not dying cause they dont care! I have to agree with another reviewer, the office as a whole is all about the money and not the patient (e.g. multiple issues are billed as multiple visits and they will charge you for your own personal records if you ever need them for any reason).
