Please, do NOT take your pets here. They are way over priced. They have no compassion for the animals or the owners. My mom and I took my dog to get spayed here a few years ago and it cost us $500. When my mom made the appointment, she told them that she is a shy dog and she would be better to handle with women not men. Well of course, when we bring her in that morning a scary guy in a surgical mask freaks her out and they let her FALL OF THE TABLE. Those tables are pretty far of the ground and she was just a puppy. She could of broke her leg! The vet techs then yelled at my mom to leave! They didnt want her to see what was going on. It was outrageous! Then, when we picked her up, they told us get her out of the back cages because they were "afraid of her". We just stood their, stunned. They then randomly let her out of the cage but she was so scared and loopy from the drugs they gave her, that she ran into walls! She just had major surgery and they let her run around like that. SO STUPID. Oh, and heres the best part, they said "We dont feel comfortable seeing your dog anymore. We want you guys to take her stitches out. You can buy some tools from us to help you get them out at home!" ....WHAT! A trained vet that supposedly knows what shes doing is "uncomfortable" doing it. Our dog was only like, 6 months old. She was scared. Shouldnt you guys know how to deal with that sort of thing? It makes me so angry that this clinic is still in business. My dog is scarred for life now because of this place. It makes me sick to think about what even happened after we left her in their care. After experiencing this whole mess, it has made me want to become a vet so I can actually show pet owners compassion and true knowledge so they know that their animal is actually being taken care of. I beg of you, who ever is reading this, do NOT take your pets here. Please!

We had a problem with fleas... we were advised to use a different flea medication,which we did. We got rid of the fleas for about 4 weeks. Now I have to go through the process again (ridding our entire home). I called to let them know the product they sold me did not work, where the original product I had asked for (and was convinced to go with this other product) had worked fine. I was advised to call an exterminator (it sounded as though this lady was married to one). She said she would be happy to sell me more flea medication. I found her to be very cold and unprofessional. I hope fleas infest her home. I will not be going back, the staff has changed and, after over 10 years,its time to find a new vet.

This is the only vet I trust all 9 of my fur babies at. I have 7 rats and 2 cats. I started going here mainly because my rats are considered exotic animals and I was paying almost $100 for just a visit at other vets. So I started going to Dr. Semen and the price was cut in half and I had better service! Theyre very caring and loving to all my animals and I dont get the feeling theyre trying to play me like other vets. If I dont need to come in for a visit they tell me over the phone or write me a prescription over the phone to pick up later. Theyre interests are truly in the right place and now that I moved 30 minutes away I still make the drive there because I trust and love this vet office so much.

We took our 7 year old german shepherd here for a large bump on his ear. They told us they would have to cut off a portion of his ear and they told us they could not tell us what it was. They never even gave us an idea of what it could be. They quoted us $500 without the biopsy, and about $200 more for the biopsy. They hand wrote the quote and they were very unprofessional. After talking to two other veterinary places, we ended up spending $12 on compound w to get rid of what was very apparently a wart to the other vets we took him to. We will not go back. I am very disappointed since the veterinarian seemed nice and actually connected with both of our dogs.

I would not take your pet here! Theyre only out for the money, I never really got the vibe that they actually care about your pets health. I paid out the wazoo for my puppies shots, they would tell me the shot would be 12 bucks then on my bill itd say something like some specialist gave him the shot so every time it end up being like 25 bucks, but if you have a puppy you know that they have a series of shots at first..altogether there money hungry and dont seem to care to much about your pet. Seems like none of them even have pets themselves, they dont understand how much peoples pets mean to them and its pretty upsetting.

I have two Pitt Bull Terriers, one whom is elderly and the other a puppy still. The folks here at H.V.C. really care about what they are doing, and they do it without the expense of other Clinics I have taken my "boys" to over the years. I love the staff, and more importantly, both of my dogs do too... I trust my dogs to be able to tell the difference between good people and bad, and there are always "Happy Tails" when we get here. I would recommend H.V.C. to anyone whom loves their pet, and needs to be seen in a timely manner, not days or a week later. Sincerely, Nathaniel

Dont be fooled by their prices. They routinely tell you one price and charge another. Quoted me $160 for my dogs neutoring and shots, they nickle and dimed me until it was $258, after they had already done the surgery! No one here is on the same page and there are a lot of other Vets out there I can pay that much and get services done just as good, if not better, Ill take my business somewhere where I wont be lied to. Dont take your pets here.

This vet worked most compassionately with our Yorkie Holly. When we finally got to the time we needed to do the best thing for her suffering, Dr. Seman and the staff were so very kind. They sent an imprint of her paw and a card several weeks later. Just very wonderful, respectful people that helped us through each step over this difficult time from initial diagnosis and treatment to saying goodbye.

I have taken both of my large breed dogs here for a couple years. The staff is very compassionate and always helpful with all of my pets needs. I dont live near by but I make the extra drive because the workers make my dogs feel comfortable. All of the employees are extremely friendly and attentive. Hartville Animal Clinic overall is a great place!

This is an awesome veterinary facility. The staff is great and so is the veterinarian. I have a nervous dog and they handle Hero with care. He loves the techs, a couple of them especially much! We have been taking our furry family members to them for over 30 years.
