Since 1996 I have always relied on glasses. These last few years, Ive been considering having LASIK surgery done, but was very fearful of the steps involved, along with the outcome of the procedure. I tried to do contacts but had issues with them. There were times I had pictures done with contacts on and looking at them, and comparing them to pictures where I have glasses on, I noticed a huge difference in the way I look, and was ready for a change. After finally deciding I was ready to do it, I did some research in finding the best place to have this done at. Thats when I found LasikPlus of Cleveland and determined to go in for a consultation to see if I was a candidate for it. After my consultation, they determined I was a candidate for LASIK. After setting up the procedure to be done today, Dr. Thomas called me last night to make sure I was ready for the procedure and if I had any questions. The staff and doctors were very friendly and awesome, and made this whole procedure go very well. One area of this was during the procedure when Dr. Thomas explained everything that was going on. It was quick and painless. The pain has gone away so far tonight and I have noticed a huge difference and can see everything that I can when I wear glasses, without wearing glasses. Dr. Thomas even called me the evening of my procedure to see how I was doing and all that. That is something you never see surgeons do, and appreciate that a lot as he was making sure his patients were doing well after the procedure, before they have their follow up appointment. With this complete, I now have 20/20 vision and no longer need to wear prescription glasses, and just wear sunglasses when outside. Im so thankful for the wonderful staff and doctors at LasikPlus Cleveland for everything they done during my LASIK Procedure. I suggest if you dont like wearing glasses, to get yourself in and find out if your a candidate for LASIK. Im so glad I got this done, I basically feel like a whole new person.

I honestly wish I could rate this place more than 5 stars because they deserve it!. From the time I scheduled my free consultation to the time I walked out of their office for my follow up they were extremely kind. Every single question I asked there was an answer for. During my consultation, I was able to sit and talk to a nurse about financing and was approved for that, awesome! Day of the surgery, I went in and finalized all of the paperwork, purchased my artificial tears and had one final eye exam to make sure that my vision hadnt worsened, which it didnt. During the procedure, of course youll be scared because its your eyes that are being operated on, but rest assure Dr. Thomas and his staff will make you feel as comfortable as possible. I personally am a bit weird. I actually researched, YouTubed videos and testimonials about LASIK so I would know what I was walking into. While the procedure was happening, Dr. Thomas assured me that everything was going as planned and he even counted down so I wouldnt freak out while the machine was doing its job! That made me feel so much better. The whole thing takes less than 20 minutes. So I tell anybody, if youre THINKING about it, DO IT!! Before the procedure, my eyes were -2.50 and I had a small astigmatism in both eyes. Had my follow up two days later, now my vision is 20/15 (better than 20/20). So it does work. One thing I will advise anyone, if you dont have a tolerance for DISCOMFORT, not pain, but DISCOMFORT....take the medicine that they offer you when youre heading home. I didnt because I live alone and didnt want to oversleep and not take the medicine drops on time. Lastly, Dr. Thomas called me that same night and made sure I was doing okay and to see if I had any questions. That sealed the deal! I wish I could be a spokesperson for this place! So again, if youre thinking about having it done......NIKE says it best JUST DO IT!!!!!!!

The team at LasikPlus was great. They were very patient and caring. On surgery day, Dr. Thomas walked me through everything during the procedure, how many seconds left, what I should feel, even what smells I would experience. The procedure took about ten minutes, thats including a triple check of my eyes before and after the op. Didnt feel any pain, just some discomfort here and there, if you relax, it shouldnt be too bad. They offered me a Tylenol or a 5mg Valium before - I opted for Valium. The post op was not fun. My eyes kept tearing up and I felt quite a bit of pain, but a Tylenol fixed that instantly. I laid in bed for 3 hours with my eyes closed and drifted off to sleep for about 1.5 hours. When i woke up, I put my first set of drops in and continued my day the way the nurse suggested. The second day was way better. Less blurr, some starburst, but overall the quality was amazing. I can see! I recommend this place to everyone.

I can only attest to my experience at Lasik Plus, Dr. Thomas and Dr. Duke in Independence, Oh and their staff. Not only are they tremendously awesome professionals but also great people. They truly care about their patients. Yes, its expected for them to greet you, yes its expected that they are friendly and courteous, etc. But what was not expected is for Dr. Duke to come to out to the waiting room while I waited for my ride and offer more numbing drops so that my eyes remained comfortable. That is true caring. Dr. Thomas was very knowledgeable, efficient, gentle, and caring. He exudes the years of experience he possesses in the manner he carries himself and how he treats his patients. I highly recommend Lasik Plus Independence Ohio, Dr. Thomas, Dr. Duke, and their amazing staff to everyone and stand 100% behind this review. Thank you for not only your excellent professionalism but also your genuine kindness!

I would like to start off saying I am terrified of eye doctors, always have been! But at Lasik Plus the entire staff and Doctors are absolutely amazing! I have been thinking of getting Lasik done for a couple years now and I decided well Im not getting any younger! So I made my consult appointment where I was able to meet Stephanie, Taran and Dr. Duke; all three of them answered every question I had, they helped ease me nerves and truly sealed the deal on me going through with Lasik. The day of my appointment I was extremely nervous, however the doctors and they staff were very friendly and reassuring! After my surgery Dr. Thomas called me and asked how I was doing which I was very grateful for! I highly recommended LasikPlus in Independence to anyone who is considering getting lasik done!! Good bye glasses/contacts and hello 20/20 vision!

My experience was amazing. The staff is wonderful they are very friendly and helpful they answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable. The whole process is very organized. I had my consultation and a week later I had the surgery. I was amazed at how quickly they could get me in for surgery. Dr. Thomas was very good he called the night before my surgery to see if I had any questions which is great because not many doctors call themselves. Dr. Thomas explained everything that was happening as he was doing it so there were no surprises. You are given medication before the exam to help with your nerves. It is the morning after my surgery and I can see so great . I am amazed at the results. I would highly recommend LasikPlus in Independence, Ohio to anyone who wants LASIK surgery. Dr. Thomas and the staff are excellent.
