Hands Down....simply THE BEST!!! Surely, the vast majority of you out there would agree that its important to feel comfortable with your dentist/dental hygienist/office staff. I know its important to me. I began my sessions in early 2009 and have since had a complete restoration of what I had lost due to years of tooth and gum neglect...everything from root canals, to fillings, caps, gum treatment, and a comprehensive plan of more responsibly tending to my overall oral health. These folks are AMAZING!!! The staff is incredibly easy going and friendly and greeted me by name on my second visit. Procedures were done with skill, efficiency, and virtually zero pain. The office is immaculately clean without that overly sterile feel of a cold hospital giving way to a very welcoming contemporary decor. They are also punctual as I have never not been seated and prepped past my official appointment time. The office is equipped with state of the art digital technology allowing the staff to easily and quickly access, compile, and record information, which, in my opinion, results in a more effective visit. The cost of my treatments were incredibly reasonable, and, with the CareCredit plan, which offers 12 month intrest-free financing on qualifying procedures, they were also made ultimately affordable. And, in the one rare case that my insurance company didnt want to come through Garland and Johnson made it a priority in resolving the situation in my favor. Did I mention the incredibly friendly and profession staff? All that said, your mind should be made up already. If your looking for the best....this IS the place..."just sayin ". Thanks to all of you there who gave me the confidence to smile again and the re-educating on good oral hygiene that has also made a drastic difference in my health...Jaye

I have had a multitude of work done over the last few months with Dr. Johnson at Garland and Johnson Dental. Not only have I had superior work done to help me get my smile and confidence back, but the staff and Dr. J are top notch peeps. Never had I walked into a dental office feeling comfortable, and completely at ease until now. After many years of avoiding dentists, or having subpar work done at other dentists offices (that created more problems than correcting problems) I think its safe to say I now look FORWARD (yes, Dr. J, I say I. look. forward.) to going in, knowing Im getting that much further in my dental plan...that Im one step closer to having that awesome smile I once had. I cant thank them enough. The office staff makes it simple and easy for me. They work with my budget, I go in little at a time and chip away at the years of fear and neglect Ive allowed to happen. They have even scheduled me in same day for an issue I had and they didnt make me feel bad about adding to their already busy day. AND THEY ARE JUST ALL AROUND AWESOME SMILING PEOPLE! The staff at G&J make you feel like its all ok when you freak out at the mention of "now this is going to be a small pinch" and the sight of a needle. Since Ive started seeing Doctor Johnson, the anxiety of dental work procedures has decreased if not has been completely eliminated. Im more excited to see what the results are going to look like rather than worrying about the pain or any fears. I can truly say Im so glad I finally found a dentist, his awesome assistants, and the best desk assistants in this area. Plus they have awesome chapstick. I mean, go for the vanilla bean, its the best........unless youre on that "I love the smell of Vicks" kick, grab the eucalyptus one.

I just had my first appointment as a new patient at Garland & Johnson Dental based on the referral of a friend and co-worker. I wish I had become a patient of G&S Kettering much earlier. From the moment I stepped into the office, I was treated great! The women at the front desk (Brittany and another lady who Ive unfortunately forgotten her name) were kind, funny, and very patient as I messed up my new patient forms a couple of times. Holly, my hygienist, was awesome! She stepped me through everything she was doing and explained why she was doing them as well as explained all the concerns she had regarding my teeth and told me how those concerns had developed. She was gentle the whole time and made me feel very relaxed. I had Dr. Melissa Banks as my dentist and completely lucked out by having her! It is my understanding that she is new to this practice and I must say that G&S Dental chose a great dentist when they brought her on. She, too, was gentle, friendly, and explained everything to me while answering the questions I had. Her knowledge and bedside manner truly made feel at ease during the exam. If I had a Holly or a Dr. Banks when I was younger, I am positive I would not have had the dental issues I currently have. Overall, the entire staff at G&S Dental in Kettering were friendly and informative leaving me happy and more knowledgeable when I left. Also, I was totally digging the music selection they had playing in the office. I would recommend these guys to anyone!

My wife started here 2 months ago and I am starting in May. My wife had a few very bad experiences several years ago and developed a severe phobia about going to the dentist and as much as she cared about her teeth the fear was too strong. But finally she came across this office and from the 1st phone call when she spoke about her fear and bad the lady on the phone was so very understanding, reassuring and compassionate. My wife has had several appts now and is getting some fairly major work done. Dr. Johnson and all of his assistants and the hygienist make certain that you are completely comfortable and keeping your experience pain free is their top priority! She is so excited now that she knows her teeth will once again be in great shape and she no longer gets chest pains when its time to go to the dentist! This place is truly a blessing and they are also dedicated to making it affordable! It might sound sappy but we are so grateful for this office! We are sending her brother and our daughter to this office for their next exams and cleanings. IF YOU HAVE DEVELOPED A MAJOR FEAR of dental visits and cost is a concern I highly encourage you to call this office!

I was searching for a new dentist visit for a cleaning, as I was not pleased with the one I grew up going to as a child. After reading some of the past reviews as well as seeing their rating I went with Garland & Johnson. I could not be more pleased. I have been in for a cleaning, emergency appointment (I was seen at a days notice), and as of today an extraction of all 4 wisdom teeth. This being my first ever experience with any type of surgery I could have not been more impressed with the staff and doctors. As long as I live in the Dayton area I will be a customer as well as refer anyone I know looking for a GREAT dentist. I hope this review helps anyone reading in their search of a great family dentist.
