Ended up here on a Friday afternoon after calling my physicians office about abdominal cramps and a fever over 102. They said I should go to the ER. I had just spent several days at the hospital with a relative who was admitted following an ER visit, so I was hoping a stand-alone ER would be less of a zoo than the ones attached to the hospitals. When I arrived I only waited a few minutes to be called from the waiting area back to a room. The nurses were very kind as they asked questions and took my vitals. Within just a few minutes the ER doctor on duty, Dr. Harover, came in and did a very thorough evaluation. He seemed genuinely concerned and actually listened to me. He ordered a CT scan with contrast, blood work and a urinalysis, all of which they were able to read right there in the facility. The staff made me comfortable (love those warm blankets) while I waited for results. I was surprised how fast the results came back and the doctor was able to diagnose me (thankfully, nothing that required hospitalization) and send me home with the medications I needed to get better. The entire process took just over 2 hours--a far cry from the 5-6 hours Ive ALWAYS experienced at ERs in the past. And I was impressed with the facility--its clean, bright, and comfortable--also a far cry from the other ERs Ive seen, which look like they needed to be hosed down. I was also very impressed when I received follow-up calls from the doctor to check on my progress and answer any additional questions. Im glad to know theres a facility like this in the Mason area for after-hours or for times when youre too sick for a walk-in clinic.

If I could give zero stars I would. I took my daughter there for ear pain. They looked in her ear, told me it was an infection that would clear up on its own, told us to give her ibuprofen and then sent us on our way. Then they had the nerve to charge us $1,500!!!! $1,500 FOR NOTHING! No x-ray, no imaging, no medicine, barely even any time spent with the doctor. When I asked what the $1200 Emergency Room charge was for, they said it was just to walk through the door with a Level 3 emergency. WHAT????? We had no broken bones, no medical procedures. All we did was walk through the door!!! And then the doctor charged us another $350. I should have just waited and taken her to Wal-Greens. They would have only charged me $50. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

I took my dad here 2 days ago. He had cut off part of his thumb with a potato slicer. He is in the process of getting disability for being legally blind, so he doesnt have any insurance until it goes through. They didnt give him any pain medicine at all (for cutting off his finger!!) and when I called 2 days later, they wouldnt talk to him on the phone about anything. They said he had to been seen all over again. No questions over the phone. Even though on his discharge papers, it said to follow up with the ER and listed the phone number. The lady on the phone wouldnt answer any questions at all! Basically, they want another $2100 dollars for us to ask questions about his pain. Wow!

I had a wonderful experience at the Mason Emergency Center. I was transported by ambulance to the ER due to an automobile accident. I was greeted by the staff as soon as I entered the ER. The doctor immediately came in and began his assessment of my injuries. The ER staff was very attentive to my cares and concerns. They eased any concerns I had about my care. My family thought the staff was so friendly. The ER doctor called me the next morning to see how I was feeling and to see if I had any other questions. My family will be back if we need any emergency room care. Great Staff!! Great Care!! Great Job!!

Please dont go here if you have a deductible health plan, as most people do now. They charged me $546 dollars to remove a splinter from my daughters foot. Apparently there is a $300 charge just to show up and another $200 since the doctor had to do something. When I called to try and get it explained to me their billing was just rude and un-helpful.

Do an online search and the only thing you can learn is their address and phone. Call their phone and get a constant busy signal. Net, why would I risk going here when I can confirm by phone another location is actually open. Its 2010, get a basic website and a basic voice mail message for consumers. Sheesh.
