Absolutely not a good experience! The staff was rude, disrespectful and uncaring. I felt Dalhausen lacked concern, gave little information and seemed preoccupied and uninterested. As so did his staff. Therefore, my bird died a couple days later. I was told to report his progress in 5 days. So, when I called to inform them of his death, the girl, Shannon, obviously didnt listen while I explained what happened. She then asked me if I had been there before. WHAT!!!!! Furthermore, she was rude and didnt want to listen to my complaint. God have mercy, may someone treat them like they treated me. They are horrible and should be held legally responsible. What kind of people act this way. Why are people so cruel? I now hold each of them equally responsible for his death.

The moment I walked through the door I was welcomed, and boy did I need it. I have had my avian for approx. 10 years and these last few weeks saw changes in my birds behavior that scared me immensely. Dr. Dahlhausen was amazing to deal with, so gentle with my baby bird and so easy to talk to and follow what his thoughts were. I have never experienced an avian vet as confident and knowledgeable as this man and would/will recommend any and all parrot parents to see him for all their vet needs. Thank you Dr. Dahlhausen for leaving me comforted and assured, knowing my baby will be just fine!

Dr. Dahlhausen and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the office is very clean. My birds got a thorough exam, diagnosis, and treatment in the most stress free way possible and at extremely reasonable pricing. I drive over an hour to come here and would drive longer if need be. I live 5 minutes away from a different certified avian vet and you could not pay me enough money to go there instead. Dr. "Bob" is well worth the trip!

I have taken my birds to Dr. Bob for over 30 years. He is the most intelligent, knowledgeable avian veterinarian there is. And the kindest, most gentle man with both his patients and his clients. During the 14 years Ive been rescuing birds, he has saved many lives that would otherwise have been lost. There is no one else I would take my birds to. He is the best.

We have been using Dr. Dahlhausen for years for our birds. We have tried others but didnt get the quality of care and attention to detail he gives. He is extremely knowledgable and cares for his patients. Its over an hour commute for us to see him but we wouldnt go anywhere else. Hes the best!

We take our ferrets to Dr. Dahlhausen. He is a super intelligent scientist who also happens to be incredibly knowledgeable with regards to ferrets. I can not imagine taking my little friends anywhere else for their care.
