My dog received vaccines here and he was fine for the first 24 hours then he began to vomit, diarrhea and became lethargic. I called the vet office and they said to bring him back in. When I got there Dr Meaken and the assistant immediately did a parvo test. About 10 minutes later Dr Meaken comes back in and says that my dog tested positive for parvo. I said “are you sure it’s not just a reaction to the vaccines because he was perfectly fine before the vaccines”. He disagreed and assured me that it was parvo. The estimate was around 1,000 dollars for about 3 to 4 days of my dog staying there. Both the assistant and Dr Meaken were being rather aggressive about me leaving my dog with there. He was talking about money and she was raising her voice about how the test was a strong positive. I just had a bad feeling about their whole approach, so I mentioned that I wanted to get a second opinion. Then his assistant got an attitude and told me that it did not matter where I take him he there going to say the same thing. They were really pressuring me! I stepped out in the hall to make a call, while my daughter stayed in the room with our dog. I could hear them in the exam room saying that we were making Dr Meaken late and he said he was not even going at this point. They said it in a tone, as if they were trying to make us feel bad. It was so unprofessional! I ended up leaving with my dog after paying a 140.00 bill. The next morning my dog felt better and was acting somewhat normal. By the 3rd day he was acting lethargic again, so I took him to a vet office that my co worker suggested. They did a parvo test that came back negative, but this vet suggested 2nd parvo test because sometimes you can get a false negative or positive. He suggested that my dog stay overnight. The next day they did another parvo test and blood work. The 2nd parvo test came back negative too. This vet thought maybe he was just sensitive to the vaccines. Remember I tried suggesting that to Dr Meaken who disagreed with me. Even if Dr Meaken did truly get a positive on that parvo test, I don’t understand why he did not want to do another parvo test. With the way they were acting (all about money and a lot of it) I did not trust what they were saying. I just had a really bad vibe and I am so glad I chose to leave with my dog. One last thing about Dr Meakens office, the exam room had every different shade of dog hair in it and a blood splat on the floor about an inch long. The other vet office I visited was not like that at all.

I have taken my dog Boo here on many occasions. Everyone from the woman at the front desk to the cashier was nice and pleasant. As far as the actual vets go I can only speak from my experience with Dr. Rabb. She is so pleasant and friendly. She always treats my dog as if she is human!! She consonantly remembers us by name! Until recently we have only been seen for minor problems, ear infections, vaccines, ect. which they managed with a breeze. Recently my dog stopped walking. Dr. Rabb saw her right away and put her on a medication regimen that helped her but did not completely cure her. She then recommended us to a specialist to better manage her care. Dr Rabb continued to keep up to date on Boo and works with the specialist keeping track and communicating her blood work. I can not say enough about Dr. Rabb and the woman that comes in to help her (I am sorry I forgot her name). The most comforting thing is the follow up call that you receive from All Creatures just to check on Boo. I would highly recommend Dr. Rabb and All Creatures.

*update Husband recieved a call from management in regards to our experience, he was very polite and made things right set us at ease and we are thankful for his call. We understand a business has kinks and are definitely willing to give them another chance!!!! Other than these hiccups our dogs are very well cared for! _____________________ We have boarded my dogs twice now first experience there was our first experience ever, it went smoothly to my knowledge second time complete opposite. They GAVE MY DOG SHOTS without consent, tried to charge me, did not ask for updated shot record. Didnt mention when we called to check in. They lost my blanket the first time for my dog, second time lost a leash. Had to replace it with a smaller one. Staff tried fighting my husband on paying for the shots had to call vet to confirm we had already given them to her. Horrible will NEVER go here again. Its a shame too because we travel and would have done a lot of business. Would NOT recommend its a headache!

Im new to Cincinnati and a new exotic pet owner, so when I needed to take my Sugar Glider to her first vet appointment I had to ask around for recommendations. The overwhelming response was "All Creatures!" Staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Daniel Meakin was very knowledgeable on Sugar Gliders, seeing as he owns them himself! The staff had to do some research on sexing my second Glider but, considering these are still not considered mainstream pets, it was understandable. Basic checkup costs were fair, though there were some extra services I chose not to have done for my Gliders because of price. My *only* complaint (and the only reason I chose 4 stars instead of 5) is that I have never been able to have an appointment scheduled for the location nearest me, and have had to drive about 40 minutes per appointment. Overall, I really like "All Creatures", my boyfriend really likes "All Creatures", and I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.

All Creatures is the most wonderful animal hospital around. We have been taking our animals there for 9 years now. We absolutely love the staff, and Dr. Meakin is wonderful!!! We have 2 Boxers, (Sampson and Diezel). We also have a Jack Russell / Chihuahua mix (Bella) that we adopted from All Creatures Friends of Noah in October. They are always very understanding and kind no matter what the situation may be. Katie Stall, one of the Vet Techs is ALWAYS awesome to us. We just love her!! Our Boxer Sampson has had a few surgeries for tumors, and a torn cruciate ligament in his leg, and I always feel he is getting the best care possible. All of our animals get the best care possible at All Creatures!!!!! Take all of your animals to All Creatures...it will be the best choice you ever make!!! Thank you so much for all you have done and continue to do for us over the years!!!!! -----Gina :o)

I didnt know what to do. My chinchilla was not eating, drinking or having a bowel movement and not moving much. I went to the ER in KY (where I live) the night before, but they didnt know Chinchillas, but Dr. England did. I tried calling everywhere in the greater Cincinnati area for an appointment that actually knew exotic pets and no one could help, until I found All Creatures. I was so impressed from the front desk staff to Doctor England. They treated me as I was as valuable as the next person that could have been going there for years. They have given me hope that my chinchilla, Mowgli, could get better soon and I hope he does with the treatment. Thank you All Creatures for being so helpful and easing my worries and helping me establish a treatment plan for my little guy. I HIGHLY recommend this hospital/Vet to anyone who is looking for somewhere to go.
