My experience was perfect. It was everything I could have wanted: a fast, thorough, compassionate and well-explained exam. I had my 5 month old kitten, Boris (a stray rescue), examined and vaccinated at Miami Valley Animal Hospital. I was very impressed with their very professional website, the convenient location, and the experienced staff. I really appreciate that they offered both morning walk-in hours (so convenient!) as well as afternoon appointment hours. I had explained to the staff that I was very low on funds and that I had a limited amount that I could spend that visit. I was in and out in less than an hour- though they worked very quickly, they took the time to explain to me everything that my cat needed, what the most important tests and treatments were, and they helped me figure out exactly what I could afford. I had called around and at other hospitals I would have only been able to get an exam and an FIV/FeLV test for the set amount of money I had to spend, but at MVAH I got the exam, the test, plus de-worm/de-flea meds and 2 vaccines. And my kitten, Boris, loved the staff. He hardly noticed the shots. As a matter of fact, he was in a good mood the whole time! They treated him so well. It was AMAZING! I was very pleased with both my experience and the low cost of service! It was the fastest, easiest and least-expensive vet visit I have ever had! Update: Seven years and two dogs later and I am so pleased with my decision to come here. From 2009-2014 MVAH cared for my rescued English Springer Spaniel, Cooper, who had many congenital health issues leading him to need frequent ear treatment and annual teeth cleanings. He passed away in July of 2014 due to liver failure, most likely hereditary, and the doctors were so compassionate when we had him PTS. They were so nice to him, let us stay in the room with him as long as we wanted, and about a week later they sent us a lovely sympathy card. We adopted our rescued English Cocker Spaniel shortly thereafter and they have been so great with him. He is so bouncy-- he just wants to PLAY with all the animals!-- but everyone is so patient with his antics and I truly appreciate it. When I make an appointment the wait is short, the office is quiet, and the staff are so helpful. I always have a great experience there and I am so appreciative of their care.

I have never needed to go to another veterinarian my whole life. Ive taken every pet Ive owned (Im 35- my parents took our animals here as well) to MVAH. They always have an appointment to meet my needs. I always recommend their office to anyone I know who has a pet and needs any care for their pet. Dr. Watts was always my first pick in vet care. Recently a few years ago our family needed to see a different vet. We met Dr. Leckband and have seen her since. Im always greeted kindly, my animals are always loved on (which I love), get taken on time, and always comfortable with the level of care my animal has received. We recently added a new puppy to our family and we joined the Paw Plan which is an annual wellness plan for our puppy. We save money by joining this and never have to worry about her being covered for her wellness needs. Ive already saved money and shes 13 weeks old! Their facility is immaculate and well laid out. I could never imagine taking my pets elsewhere. Highly recommend them. You will not regret it!!

I will never recommend these guys. Office manager was absolutely rude, they wont work with you on anything. They will do blood work for a surgery, never call you back to set up plans, then 3 months later act like you are the one who dropped the ball. Sitting in their waiting room I witnessed them turn a dog away who had been bitten by a rabid animal (an emergency) bc they said the doctor didnt have time for them that day...... This has been the absolute worst experience with a Vet I have ever had. The office manager Greg was so rude, he reduced me to tears. Despite all the horrible treatment and the ridiculous wait time for call backs they are still forcing me to pay for services I will never even receive. If I could give less than a star I would.

The staff is understanding and efficient, the doctors are very competent and willing to discuss treatments with owners. Dr. Watts is exceptional - he spent 40 min with me discussing the health of my bird after her mate died unexpectedly. This behavior might be expected if I had been a long-time client, but was absolutely over and above the call of duty as I was a new client that day. They see dogs, cats, and all types of other pets (my, cockatiels, rabbit and guinea pig to start). They have walk-in hours from 9 to noon daily - its great for day-time emergencies. After trying a few vets in the area, I would highly recommend Miami Valley Animal Hospital for great care, wonderful people, and reasonable pricing.

We visited a few other vets before finally finding MVAH with our last dog. Each doctor we saw was exhibited care and expertise and I always felt that they took all the time we needed to explain things-- even calling afterwards to follow up and answer any other questions. Even when it came to the end of my pups life, they sent me a personal card signed by the staff and, while, I the whole thing was terrible, I appreciated their sympathy and care and I know my next pet will be a patient of theirs.

Ive been a customer for more than 2 decades. MVAH is awesome. They are very caring and very professional. Theyve been there for me through a death of my dog and saved my dog now, a miniature Goldendoodle s life. I wouldnt think of taking my pets anywhere else. I know that this staff is going to treat my pet like its their own. For that, Im very grateful. Dr. S. Leckband is one of the greatest vets i know and Romeo LOVES her so much! Thanks for all the love and support that you give MVAH.

With the exception of a few, the staff isnt very friendly or genuine. I have been in there 4 times in the past 2 weeks and the girl looks at me like shes never seen me. A couple weeks ago called and had awhole convo about my problem and when i got there a half hour laterI had to explain the whole situation over again even after i gave her my name and the chart was already sitting on the counter. I dont like how the front staff and techs are always different.

If you want a full-service vet, then go here. The entire staff is dedicated to the well-being of your furry friends and they have great compassion and kindness for you as an owner. The clinic is spotless and animal friendly. I highly recommend investing in the PAW plan. I have found it to be so helpful in defraying costs. I have always taken my pets here since the 1960s.

Our family has taken our pets to MVAH for over 25 years! We love the individualized care our dogs and cats receive and the staff is great! The veterinarians are knowledgeable, empathetic and extremely supportive when weve had to make hard decisions regarding quality of life. I have recommended MVAH to friends and will never go anywhere else.
