Dear Administrators @ St. Johns Westshore... I was recently a patient of Dr. Harry Persaud (cardiologist) @ St. Johns Hospital and he was given my case @ Fairview Hospital when I was diagnosed with AFIB. I was under the care of Dr. Harry Persaud for several years. I had two heart caths, and I believe 3 stress tests with ultra violet die injections given to me by Dr. Persaud and his staff. Although me and him had a disagreement about my weight, which Dr. Persaud insisted that I lose the weight for my heart and my health. I really feel that Dr. Persaud cared about my well being to no end. Hes a great doctor and he cares about his patients. I do not believe that Dr. Persaud would put a stint into patients that didnt need them. Although I dont know the whole story about these things that have been said about him doing..I find him a Caring & GREAT DOCTOR of the heart and feel that his services in this community will surely be missed. The front desk staff is absolutely clueless ! I brought a friend of mine in for a small surgical procedural get to the desk and they tell us its canceled . Then I ask where the doctors office is so I can take her to reschedule and they have no clue . Even after talking to the office she was supposed to be in ! They preceded to tell us for ten minutes that they had no doctor named that in their facility EVEN AFTER SHE SPOKE TO THEIR OFFICE INSIDE THE BUILDING . The the office called my friend via cell to see if she had left the premicice yet . Why u ask ? to direct her to pre admission testing . OKAY. So here we are at the front desk again for them to tell us they have no idea where to send us . Pat they said whats that . Oh hello low and behold I had the answer pre admission testing is what it stood for . Finally I direct my friend in the right direction . Holy cow . The ignorance and blatant disregard this medical center has shown me is absolutely intolerable! Shut it down or hire some people with the wires still sparking up there !

I suppose it is an explanation that I am asking for. Seeing that I am some 570 miles away from you & my sister, Audrey Vernor here, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I do understand the law is out there concerning the privacy act which is keeping me uninformed about Audreys condition. Therefore, yesterday, 08/19/2016, when I called back for a third time, we agreed to ask a case-worker or a social worker, or the hospital Chaplain to call me back, to tell me if either Audrey or her husband, my brother-in-law, Chris Vernor has given the hospital permission to update me on Audreys status. 08/19/2016 has passed and is now forever gone, and I mean NOBODY, NOBODY!! has called me back either from the hospital or my brother-in-law! Thus, I am still left uninformed and still do not know why Audrey is back in the hospital again nor how she is doing. I am both disappointed and unhappy about this situation, and I now realize the lack of efficiency and the lack of care at St. John Westshore!! Thanks for totally nothing!! Les Hyde

I went to this crap show of an er at 3am with an excruciating pain in my head that was to unbearable to sleep, walk, or even open my eyes when i arrived they took me right back and took me for an mri. In the meantime i sat in the room in misery while they gave me tylenol really, when results came back the idiot of a doctor said it was a migrain and sent me home what a joke let me tell you. So i went home and within 4 hours i thought i was gonna die from tje amount of pain i was having so i called my family doctor and he refered me to a doc at St Vincent in cleveland who seen me within 45 mins and after looking at me and getting mri results from Death shore and blood work guess what i have meningitis and could of died if i would have waited any longer. So a very special thankyou to the doctors at St Vincent good work doing your job my kids need me and as for u so called doctors who are like high school dropouts that just wear scrubs good luck in your short career. DONT EVER GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANNA DIE

St John Death Shore is still in business! despite the name change you still receive less than expected care at a premium. My late grandmother was on the fourth floor (which is much nicer than the rest of the hospital) for a heart attack, stroke, and a dislocated hip (which was replaced at SJDS). My aunt was in the room with my grandmother when two nurses came into the room and said "Were going to get you up and moving today!" they had her walking around by herself with her walker, and even were going to let her use the in room restroom herself. She had been on bed rest for the past 3 or 4 days before then. Then my aunt noticed that the nurse referred to her as the wrong name. She asked and it didnt take long to find out that the nurses had the WRONG ROOM AND PATIENT!!!! Its utter stupidity and lack of care that really sets St John Death Shore apart from the rest. I would drive an hour away rather than go to this hospital.

Dad goes in for a bit of wobble..fell in bathroom..so we take him in (just in case)...and he needs Physical therapy..well..back and forth between Ext Care Westlake Village..and 5 visits back to St Johns..hes fallen 4 times ..had fungus on his bottom ...lost his ability to walk..talk and eat..lost his dentures..his glass...omg..and now..infections so bad..his -paneray glands...(side of carotid)...are so swollen..lips chapped to bloodiness..he couldnt eat..so 3 days we find out..THEY NEVER EVEN FED HIM...(those hanging bags)..nothing..today..they put in a Feeding tube???..omg..hate them hate them..i cant tell you..they do not pay attention..the doctors are crap..dont call back...i tried to hunt them down too..and wont call back..nothing..unbelievable...stay far away..far as you can..run...insurance is just as bad...keep booting him out..to ext care..and they are no better..even worse...

folks..I hate to do this but the pain doc here has signed my death warrant..folks..i am 52..a preacher ...former pro wrest;er..and suffer with lymphedema in both legs..life is over for me and i am sick of the pain guy here.he never helped..just said i was too fat..true..i did the sleeve and lost 300 pounds still in his eyes i am a loser..as the flapping skin has been replaced with lymph juice..my left leg is 239 pounds today..it has been a high of 289 pounds..it is up and down a lot.yet..he feel i am a liar..really?..sad..well..he dismissed me and black balled me so..i have cut down to 5mg of methadone a day from 40 mg a day..as he is very cruel and cares not for me or to honor our contract he broke..so.i have been homebound since april..as he deleted me in march...i am afraid..and in so much pain..i no longer care if i am alive..as i must sleep as much as possible...so..beware..smh.
