Ocala Regional Medical Center has the Same as the Worthless Employees as at Munroe Regional Medical Center! If you have Good Healthcare Coverage they extend your stay as long as humanly possible. I went to the ER room at ORMC Easter Sunday afternoon. The ER has digital television. Then they admit you to a room that has analog tv from the 1970s! I hate watching television anyway. Sunday night i was starving. The Nurses working Easter got me a turkey sandwich and some saltine crackers. They told me I was having a Cathlab on Monday at 8:00 so I could not eat or drink anything. Monday Morning they woke me up at 5:00 AM to shave me for the 8:00 AM Cathlab. At 10:00 AM they came to get me for a Cathlab. I almost made it to the wheel chair before one of the Nurses got a call on her bat phone to tell me it was cancelled. Then a Cardiologist comes in and tells me they cannot find a kidney doctor so they will do the cathlab later month afternoon. They say my kidneys are messed up. I explain to them that I have been at Stage three Kidney Failure for over three years. I added that I had a second heart attack on July 9, 2015 and was okay. The cardiologist said he would go ahead and schedule me for monday afternoon. Around 3:00 PM, a nurse came in and said the Cath had been rescheduled for Tuesday at 11:00. I asked for something to eat. They told me to eat my lunch. I had ate three pieces of canned beef. The rest was inedible. The rice on my plate and in my soup were crawling so I figured it was maggots from the morgue. Short story I checked out after they refused to even give me a few soda crackers. They asked me to sign a form stating I was checking out against their medical advice. I told them to give me a form that they were starving me that they signed. But like the VA Healthcare system, these employees never sign anything, especially when they are acting like Nazi Storm Troopers! If you have good health care insurance both the OMRC and MRMC will extend your stay, your treatment, your tests, and when they have some cardiologist or some other greedy arse come in to check on you, they will always bring 2 to 4 other employees with them so they can all bill your coverage. Usually a bunch of Pakistanis or Indians do they can all bill your Insurance for Multiple consuls. I cannot figure out how they keep their 2.3 out of 5 Rating. At least Munroe has a 2.7 because they keep having employees rating them as a 5 Star will false input. I will save the rest for the Lawsuit! The room they stuck me in did not even have a Sink. Instead they give you a Pump Bottle of Chinese Prison labor Foam Soap to wash your hands and body. I will see 90% of ORMC and MRMC in Hell when they join me. All of them need "Tune Ups" in the worst sort of way. I think they all were trained by the VA Clinics and Hospitals. Kill all the patients or push them to suicide. I will call all of my 3 Health Care Insurance Offices and tell them not to pay them a penny! They can sue me. But these lawsuits take so long I will be dead before it goes to court. Ocala Hospitals are Like Veteran Affairs Medical Centers on STEROIDS! Sucking more life out of Patients than frickin Obamacare! Payback is a mofo~

What Ekko said is no joke. i, too, was baker acted, although i was not told this until i tried to discharge myself for numerous reasons. For one, they automatically blamed my anxiety for what turned out to be a reaction to a new medication id been prescribed. Even as id been treated for this life-threatening situation, the staff continued to insist my anxiety was responsible for everything, which makes absolutely no sense. They later charged me over $800 on my bill for Acetaminophen which i know for a fact that i did not receive as i am allergic to anything containing acetaminophen. The physician id seen said my test results came back completely normal which i later found out was untrue; my primary physician had received my records which revealed that my thyroid was out of range which i later needed to see a specialist about this issue. Whereas i expected no catering from anyone, i felt as though the nurses thought i was seeking attention, as one had commented, "We cant do nothing for you here when its just your anxiety". The patient in the room next to me had been "talked down" to by the nurses several times; they spoke to her as if she were a baby, saying, "Whats your name? Do you know your name?" Whereas she seemed to be having issues in responding as she did seem to be a bit old- no disrespect intended- they did not have a right to talk to her as if she was a child nor say, "Oh, Toots. Now I have to stick you again" when she had removed her I.V. Although the bill issue was later resolved for the most part (meaning i was still charged for other medication/tests i know i did not receive but the price had otherwise been considerably reduced), i will never return to this hospital nor would i recommend that anyone go here. Also, i had every right to know why i was being baker acted, although i was never told why. In fact, when asked, one nurse outright ignored me, the other walked away. Until this day, i ask myself, what the hell did i do to be put in a rehab facility and why did i have to choose Ocala Regional?? Although Munroe has its faults, Ocala Regional seems to have faults down to an art. On a last note, however, my grandmother did have open heart surgery at Ocala Regional, although i continuously insisted that she go to Munroe. Thankfully, Mr. Ocean(think thats what she said his name was), was the only nice staff member i had seen. And it just so happened that he was also her surgeon which i think is why my grandmother had such a successful operation. He seemed very educated and very positive that i questioned whether or not he was really a member of the same hospital. im still rating this hospital with a one star because i feel Mr. Ocean did not reflect the hospitals true nature; it should be no surprise if you are treated by a staff member that otherwise does not seem to have any respect for you in the very least.

I am seriously unimpressed by the staff at this hospital. My daughter was hit by a car this past Friday and is going to need long term care. I live 3 counties away and today I found out she has not had food or drink since she was admitted. When I called today (Sunday) as to why my daughter had not been fed or even ice chips Judy told me that she was due for surgery, this conversation took place at 3pm. When I said I would call back in 4 hours she recommended not to cal between 6-8 days or evenings as that is shift change! I asked to be informed as to when they prep my daughter for surgery to call me. It is now 7pm and I called at 6:30 to see if they had her in surgery yet..the answer was no and I actually heard Judy in the back ground telling Lindsey that she told me not to call between 6-8. I will call when I wish as to inquire about my daughter. At this time my daughter has gone 36hrs without food or drink, just the IV. When I did visit with her yesterday her IV bag emptied and the alarm was sounding as her IV tube was bent. I had to walk into the hall and ask someone to please come. The first nurse said there wasnt anything she could do as there was too much air in the line and walked out. I began to panic and thankfully a nurse came and ran a whole new IV line for my daughter. I am seeking a transfer for my daughter ASAP! Considering the fact she has Thoracic Fractures and numerous other fractures and is unable to reach the phone to call me? I need to get her to Tampa and out of this place! Maybe talk to an attorney while I am at it. Update: I called the number left by the owner and was received by more arrogance as to their nurses! My daughter waited 20 minutes for a first morning bed pan! Now they have postponed her surgery as they claim she ate something or wanted to eat something which my daughter said was an ice chip! Until Americans realize that our hospitals are self serving money machines that charge whatever magical formula they wish? Americans will continue to remain unhealthy and overcharged. This particular facility cares more about profit than patient care. Your best bet to be treated is in a metro area where patient care and knowledge is at its best. Not in a one horse town at a facility that can not afford more than one trauma surgeon on call! ORMC and MRMC are a serious concern and I would advise against using either of them. High tech machines aside as what good are their machines if the nurses are under paid and under staffed to adequately care for patients?? Go to Shands if you want real care and excellent bedside manner as well as lower cost less concern over money and more concern about patient support and care by having enough staff to attend to patient needs.
