The doctor and staff were initially friendly, but then did several things that reflected poor customer service standards. They called to tell me my contacts were in, but when I went to pick them up they only had the contacts for my l to left eye. No problem, people make mistakes. I waited for a call to tell me the contacts for my right eye were in, but it never came. I finally stopped by the office and found that they were there, but no one had called to let me know. I also observed that no once apologized for inconveniencing me at this time. For the final straw: I wanted to order some glasses for back-up online, but I noted that the doctor had given me a perscription for glasses, but neglected to include the pupillary distance. I called to see if I could stop by and have this measured, but was told no. To clarify, I was told that this measurement was not included in a supposedly "comprehensive" eye exam. The receptionist advised I get a ruler and measure it myself. I tried this, of course measured it incorrectly, and now have a pair of glasses that are completely useless. Again, the doctor was friendly enough, but the staff on the whole wasted both my time and money.

All may be well that ends well, however, I just went through a very long process that included the office losing my contact order, the supplier being out of the particular kind of contact, a lot of miscommunication, more trial pairs than I have ever had to try with any other Dr. and the front desk personnel asking sensitive, personal health history information in front of other patients (a HIPAA violation). The process was 7 months from start to end. In expressing these concerns to the staff I was always informed that my eyes are just difficult (and they are, which has not stopped previous health care professionals from providing quality service) and it’s unfortunate, but not their fault. In my years of corrected vision I have never been made to feel self-conscious about my vision until these last months. They did end up providing me with contacts as well as glasses and provide some free service in the process, which is commendable; however, my vision is still better with my cracked, old glasses. process

I recently visited Gresham Optical for a routine eye exam and a new prescription and I was impressed how efficient and thoroughly my exam was conducted. I felt like I got quite a bit accomplished in a short amount of time spent in the office. All the staff I worked with were competent, helpful and pleasant. They anticipated my questions and had an expansive inventory to select from. The staff have successfully created a professional, relaxed and enjoyable work environment which I can recommend.

I am very impressed with the staffs professionalism & attention to detail. I purchased my first reading glasses and I had no clue of what to look for such as frames and size. Two of the employees must have spent over an hour with me until I found the best frame for my prescription and my style, Everything was explained very throughly and I left completely satisfied and excited about my new reading glasses. Dr. Brophy and his staff are very caring and truly care about the needs of their clients.

Late appointments for people who work is a plus! Professional and courteous! My wife and I were both seen the same evening with the girls in the office helping her pick a great set of frames. Dr. Brophy was thorough with the exam and explained everything he was doing and helped with any questions I had. My wife has been going to see him for years and we will continue to go to his office and recommend our family and friends as well. Very trustworthy!

I have been a patient at Gresham Optical & Dr. Brophy for over 10 years. They have great office hours -- staying late some evenings -- and super convenient to schedule online. I even emailed them to determine my last appointment so that I could take full advantage of my insurance benefits. Great staff -- always so helpful -- and great doc -- always answers all my questions and makes great suggestions. I like to refer them every chance I get.

The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. With my limited budget they are consciousness to help me find glasses that are within my budget. Dr, Brophy is so easy going and actually makes it fun to get your eyes checked. I have been visiting this clinic since I was a kid and now that I am 26 I still wouldnt go anywhere else!

Gresham Optical was a great place to get my exam done and they had a huge choice of Glasses. I moved here from the East Coast and I have to admit the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgable and Dr Brophys exam was by far the best I have ever had. I will be back next year. Thank you Dr. Brophy and staff.

Wonderful staff. The Doctor was quick and very accurate on my prescription. My card wasnt working and they still let me have my exam and contacts so that I could see until I paid the next day. And lets not forget that they also make late appointments on Tuesdays. I highly recommend this place. (:

My wife and myself had a wonderful appointments on a Saturday at Gresham Optical and Greg Brophy, O.D. and his staff are great. He saw us togeather, whiched my wife realyy liked. The exam was very good and not rushed. I will be returning to them for future eye glass needs.

Been going here for almost fifteen years.. since i was 6 years old! My eyes change every year since then and he always gets it spot on. Dr. Brophy is great! Nice staff, they take their time with each person individually.

Very disappointing experience. I knew the appointment was at stake the moment I checked in at the front counter and the receptionist asked me if I wore glasses. They are kinda hard to miss being on my face and all.
