I would love to give 5 stars for Dr. Cherian, but after the experience today with office staff, thats just not possible. I had an appointment that I scheduled over the phone for today at 4pm. I called ahead to make sure I would be finished my appointment by 5pm to take my son who needed medical attention to the pediatrician. The woman on the phone said the appointment was 45 minutes, it wouldnt be busy and basically brushed me off. I get there early, check in and wait until its 4:15pm. I check in with the woman at the desk to see when they will be taking me back and remind her that I need take my son (who is with me because they couldnt be flexible) to the pediatrician. She states my appointment is at 4:15pm. I looked at my calendar and said no, have 4pm (in my calendar), I called earlier and said my name and appointment time was 4pm and they didnt correct me....I need to take my son to the doctors. So finally she got up, went back and spoke with the hygienist. I still was not taken back yet. By the time I saw Dr Cherian it was 5pm and I told him we needed to leave and why. He was quick with his exam and friendly as always. If it wasnt for Dr. Cherian being the best dentist I have ever found I would switch dentists. By the way, I have an email appointment reminder from their office that says my appointment was 4pm. I also felt the hygienist had an attitude with me because I was rushing the appointment and she kept looking over at my son while she was cleaning my teeth. What can I say? If you dont want the figidy kid in the exam room during my appointment then be a little more flexible with moms when we have a child that needs to be seen by a doctor. When it was finally time to check out, one receptionist was on the phone and the other was typing on the computer so Im standing there waiting. Finally the one gets off the phone, says nothing, takes the paper the hygienist left on the counter, looks at the computer and finally says, so 6 months? I quickly said Ill call, we need to leave, he has an appointment at 5:20. At this point its several minutes after 5pm and I need to race down 611 in traffic to get to the pediatrician on time. We made it, but the office staff and hygienist could have been more understanding. I dont know how they ended up having my appointment pushed back by 15 minutes but thats also something they need to work on.

I had not been to a dentist in 2 years due to multiple moves and periods without dental insurance. After finally settling in Wyncote I was very nervous about finding a good office as I knew I had a lot of work that needed to be done. I was able to make an appointment as a new client quickly, and after explaining my existing painful issues they were able to see me for a thorough cleaning and full X-rays. I felt the technician and the dentist were very thorough in explaining to me the current state of my teeth as well as establishing a plan moving forward to correct the issues I had in a time frame that my insurance would support. The receptionist/administrative women at the front desk were VERY knowledgeable about additional fees my insurance would charge and went so far as to research the interest rates I would pay on my Care Credit credit card to help me achieve the lowest APR. For my experience with most healthcare, this was really above and beyond what most offices do. There is ample free parking (always nice!) and the office also sends you complimentary text messages the day of your appointment, which for someone like me is a HUGE help because Im always forgetting appointments. The facility has always been clean when I have gone, and even when I had 3 cavities filled at once visit I was still in and out in under 1 1/2 hours. I will be bringing my family to this office for their dental work as well! Great experience!

Dr. Cherian insists on including the kind, human and friendly aspect in his professional and meticulous and professional dental practice; He almost saved my life yesterday. Abington ER neglected to administer thorough exams, including and not limited to X-rays, and failed to discover an abscess that could have cost me my life. Dr. Cherian took me in right away with hardly any wait despite his busy schedule. Knowing that it was an emergency, he bounced back and forth between me and an understanding patient. After an X-Ray, Dr. Cherian had his staff schedule me for an urgent oral surgery that took place just 45 minutes later, at 10 minutes from his Abington office. To say the least, I was in excruciating pain and literally in the worst pain I have ever endured. I felt 100 percent better after the surgery that took place at a practice I will write about soon. I was in such pain and despair I failed to mark down or even remember the name of the surgery location. They deserve a shout out, all by themselves. The moral of the story is that Dental work needs a human touch and at Abington Dental Excellence, my experience was above and beyond Excellent. I like to thank the front desk too who took me in at a last minute call, forwarded my paper work and set me up for surgery. Thank you and thank you again.

I used to think all dentists were dreadful. I never had a dental experience that was anything short of nightmare status. Dr. Cherian at Abington Dental Excellence changed all that. After an especially inept dentist broke one of my teeth, I needed an implant. I was scared. I stopped smiling because my smile was broken. Enter Dr. Cherian. Theres no two ways about it - a dental implant is a process. But Dr. Cherian was gentle, compassionate and understanding. And my implant is *AMAZING*. He gave me my smile back, and just in the nick of time! After my implant, I was invited to pose on the cover of People Magazine. With my Abington Dental Excellence dental work, I was able to pose with a smile from ear to ear. I have recommended Dr. Cherian and his amazing staff to anyone looking for anything - from a cleaning to an implant and everything in between. You cant go wrong with Abington Dental Excellence. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you for my smile. You turned the sunshine back on and I will be eternally grateful.

I loved this place when I first started going for a couple years. But last year ended that for me. Dr. Panks who I saw originally, left the practice when I went back for a 6 month check up. So I was told I would be seeing another dentist whos name i dont even remember because he was the rudest person Ive ever met. He was an older white man. Long story short, he saw something in my xrays ( xrays were NOT current) and told me that I would need to have my tooth capped. He explained nothing to me thoroughly and was very condesending. So I decided to switch dentists within the office and get a second opinion. I got a second opinion and was told the same exact thing. So i waited to hear from my insurance company to see if they would cover having my tooth capped. In the mean time i went to another dentist ( highly reccomended) and she insured me that I would DEFINETLY NOT need my tooth capped. I almost spent over 400 dollars having something done on my tooth that I didnt even need. I do not trust abington dental "excellence."
