After being unhappy with my previous VET in Northampton (for VERY good reasons), it took me 6 mos to get around to research, get all my records together & schedule appt for my 2 chocolate labs. Many of my neighbors recommended this vet as did the Affordable Pet Center in Northampton (I highly recommend them as well). Their shots were coming due, and I wanted a 2nd opinion on a growth on my older (age 13.5) lab, which I had X-rayed, but was reluctant to do surgery. It suddenly became seemingly urgent, I was able to up the appt. To make matters worse, my younger lab (almost 11) suddenly got very lethargically sick, & my appt. was able to be upped again, for both labs. We were new patients, not existing, and were treated with utmost respect, professionalism, and love in a critical, sensitive situation. They were most accommodating, the facility was very clean, wait time was minimal, even when inside exam room, very detailed efficient scheduling. ALL the gals at desk, technicians AND my DR very knowledgeable, customer service oriented, on a canine AND human level. They were patient, prompt to assist with whatever I needed, took their time to thoroughly explain procedures & options and followed-up. We are still working on pet health issues- my total faith and trust is with ABE Vet Hosp.

22 year old cat (Davita) going strong thanks to Dr. Scarola. Being relatively new in the Lehigh Valley, I first went to a vet who immediately wrote her off based on her age, when in fact she just had a UTI; I then went to another vet who insisted that I get a $500 ultrasound to determine whether a growth in her abdomen was cancer, when surgery and chemo are both out of the question given her age. I was desperate for a vet who who would just help me keep her comfortable in her remaining time. At ABE, they dont try to force conclusions, or make a gray area black or white. Im very thankful, and recommend ABE wholeheartedly.

Do not go here. They put my dog on medication that another vet said that he doesnt need. And they didnt put him on the right dosage of it for his weight, so it wouldnt have even been effective. They are in it for the money. It used to be a good place before it was bought out. I was horrified to hear that my pet has been on medication for years that was not necessary, and expensive!

Im a client here and just called to get my foster dogs nail trimmed (which they have seen both dogs), they quoted me $37 just to trim his nails (not asking my name, just quoted off a sheet). Other vet places quoted as low as $12 to high of $20. And their exams are less too! Im moving my dogs to one of those places. And the reviews were glowing on staff and drs at those places too!

Saw Wendy and Dr. Decant today for a healthy kitty visit. The office was clean and the office staff were very friendly. We didnt wait long and the rates were reasonable. They were great with our scardy cat. Very gentle and informative about vaccines. Even patient with my autistic son! Two thumbs up!
