Misdiagnosed, and her skin was lacerated when they shaved her. how awful a facility to do this to an animal. Avoid this dreadful place. what happens in the back room clearly is inhumane. Im just seeing this a day later. this paragraph was added on 4/9/16, the rest of this post was made on 4/8/16 the help was kind enough, but I dont like my baby being taken into a back room. Just dont trust anyone with her. Took her there because she has been poisoned repeatedly by unruly law enforcement. they poison her so she doesnt wake me when they vandalize my property at night. this is video taped activity. they have done it repeatedly, and over the past year, she has gotten notably sicker, and not recovering. I explained this to the tech. also she was give buffered aspirin weeks ago after a nasty fall. well ferguson, the vet, did an ultrasound, and found ulcers, Duh, No Clue, rat poison will do that. but claimed the damage was done by aspirin. well i dont care, if she makes my dog better, she can say what ever she wants, but A while after i got home, i read the discharge instructions. I was sickened by this lacking unprofessionals assessment, and personal opinion being put on paper, claiming the damage to my girls stomach was due to aspirin, and that i had given her 20x the recommended dosage. her words exactly on paper are Diagnosis, Aspirin induced vs other. in other words, Ferguson claims that giving her a few buffered aspirins as prescribed weeks ago, have been making her sick for the past almost year, since unruly law enforcement started testing to see how much poison she could handle. this is a disgraceful situation with the NYS and PA state police concealing felony crime commited by law enforcment, and fergusons comments and actions make me think shes covering up for them. She was condescending, and belittling in her comments, finishing my sentences with inaccuracies, just like a trashy cop. had she let me finish a sentence, she would have understood that the dog has been sick for the best of a year. not just a couple weeks. shux, if she isnt professional enough to listen to the patients owners, maybe if she read the referring vets reports, she wouldve seen her comments were not justified. the office is clean, the girls at the desk are very nice. who knows what goes on in the back room when they take your babies away from you. and if the so called "Professionals" cant check their personal opinions at the door when they get to work, they should stay home. i would never recommend that place. I am not nameless or faceless, my name is Susan Hull back for a follow up on the horrible animal treatment. hopefully i can help at least one animal from being injured there. I amiled dr danova a letter, certified mail to explain to her what happened there. I also let her know that Dr Ferguson was witnessed sitting in front of my house. A neighbor noted the plate and was calling the police whern she finally decided to drive away. well apparetly dr danova, the hospitals owner, doesnt give a hoot what her employees do and how it impacts or injurs the animals or the owners either. she refused the letter i sent her. and then Drferguson, knowing her report was far from honest, unprofessional, and was being reported to the appropriates, mails me an updated report. it was not accurate, it was just reworded. this woman should not be permitted to put her hands on animals. they are bnot living things to her. almost like shes programmed, mechanical. she didnt even know my dog was female. avoid this place. good care is a matter of luck there, and you never know what happens in the back room. the place should be dismantled brick by brick

If i could not put any star that would be great, these people are so unprofessional, and lie about procedures, first off let me tell you about the situation, our dog, had stopped eating, his regular vet suggested we take our dog here, because he was out of town, we took him on a saturday while there i told him the regular vet suggested an mri, they said we will make that determination, and that the mri people were off until monday, so they ivd our dog, and took x-rays, which we already had gotten done from our vet, and said it was possible he had something in his stomach, so comes Monday, and i call and they say, oh the mri people dont come in until tuesday, i said you said monday, she denied saying this saying to me, "these people get a day off too..how rude, so i call our dogs regular vet, and i told him to please help me get our dog an mri, so he makes an appt. for us that day at another emergency vet in plains, i call to tell them at clark summit er, and they said give us time to get him ready, so i waited, then i went up, and he was still not coming out, well they said they had emergencies, so what, my dog is not an emergency, well i check out, and over 1700 dollars later.... I take our pup, 11 months old down to plains, where they did the mri, they asked me there why didnt they leave the iv in, since now they have to give our dog another iv, more pain for our pup. they did the mri only to find out he had something solid in his small intestine along with a rope toy from his stomach to the intestine, where as it could of perforated his intestine i am so glad that they took the time to do the surgery. I want to say I WILL NEVER EVER EVER TAKE OUR DOG TO THE CLARKS SUMMIT VETERINARY REFERRAL EMERGENCY CENTER , AGAIN. I have read the other reviews who stated all they want is your money, they do not care about your pet which i find to be true... they took 1700 for just an iv, that they took out of our pup, and to be seen by a rude vet, who most of us that went there contribute to her salary, they have no idea what they are doing, i will NOT refer anyone to this unprofessional practice, and they should go back to school, for compassion and understanding classes, along with further training.

I just want to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the entire staff of VREC that I dealt with over the past three years. The care, concern, and compassionate are exemplary and reflect the character and expertise of everyone at VREC. Many thanks to the entire staff at the front desk. I was always greeted with kind words, concern, and understanding throughout my many visits and numerous phone calls. Dealing mostly with Internal Medicine, I would like to acknowledge Dr. Ferguson and every Internal Medicine tech I dealt with over the past three years. Dr. Fergusons superior skills and devotion had seen Oliver and me through many difficult times. Dr. Fergusons unrelenting determination and dedication equal a "one of a kind" doctor. Im grateful to her. Each and every one of the Internal Medicine techs are outstanding . I want to thank all of you as well as the Surgical techs and Emergency techs who also exemplify great knowledge, dedication, and love of animals. My sincere thanks to Dr. Danova for all she did for us. Dr. Danovas surgical skills, knowledge, and compassion again equal a "one of a kind" doctor that got Oliver through his surgical procedure successfully. I am also grateful to all the Emergency Physicians. They constantly demonstrate remarkable skills along with a level of comfort under very difficult circumstances. I have and will continue to recommend VREC. Thank you for giving me three extra years with Oliver that I believe I would not have had if not for each and everyone of you at VREC.
