Our poor little dog suffered her last few days on earth because we listened to Dr. Pautler. We took her in on a Wednesday because she wasnt eating. He said it was just a virus. Thursday we returned and had blood drawn. We voiced our concerns about the very high numbers associated with liver function but he didnt seem too concerned and stuck to his virus theory. She died Sunday night in a lot of pain. He called after he found out she died and said it was probably her liver. Already figured that out genius and I havent even been to vet school. Im sure it was too late to do anything had he followed up on our concerns, but at least we could have made her final days more comfortable. She was a good little dog and didnt deserve to die in so much pain. A few days later we took our other dog to another vet because she was coughing a lot. Turns out she has a grade five heart murmer that Dr. Pautler apparently missed during her last check up. She was put on Lasix and her condition improved almost immediately. The dog who just died had a grade five murmer that Dr. Pautler knew about for years and there was no mention of Lasix. If you value your pets health, please look elsewhere for veterinary care. I wish I would have.

Pass the buck....dont have a heart. I just called there bc there is a dead dog on 222, in between Oregon Pike and Brownstown exit, keep in mind this could be one of their customers dog. If I wasnt a stay at home mom I would drive the 1/2 hour to this dog if I could find help loading the at least 100lb dog into my truck. I had already called Local Animal shelters, ORCA, Penn Dot, Lanc Township, Manheim Township, the Humane League is not open until 3pm, I feel bad for whoever owned the dog, they are just left there on the shoulder like he or she meant nothing. I am an animal lover, I stop for anything and try to help any animal or human in need, really frusterating when I encounter people who dont do the same, let alone a place that actually CARES for animals and doesnt CARE!

I have been taking my animals to Dr. Paulter for a couple years now, and I regret every moment of it. The administrative staff is friendly, which draws you in, but thats about where the positives end. Dr. Paulter is not very helpful and seems bored and disconnected every time I see him. I took my dog in with a limp, and he did not even look at my dog walk, just prodded at his leg a bit, gave me some pills and walked out. The exorbitant price for that 10 minutes: $95. Especially for surgical procedures, youll probably pay as much as an emergency clinic, which you wont know until they hand you the bill at the end. Not worth it for mediocre care at best.

My wife and I have been very pleased by this vet. He is helpful, personable, and responsive to our little pugs needs. Theyve been very accomodating as we have to non-stop battle kidney and bladder stones with our pug, and they have also been very mindful of cost as they recommend different treatments. As of now, she only needs a different type of dog food, and Im certain that other vets would hastily recommend surgery and other expensive options.

Will stop going there, you get what you pay for. The staff isnt that nice, they seem like its a bother to take care of you. They dont allow you to do what you want for your kid (animal), theyll refuse treatment of a simple thing to do. Saying all this with me taking good care of my pets and do what my gut and asking around, plus researching. Which Ive always been right when I think whats best for my kid, I live with them.

Awesome vet and staff! Very professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. My dog is elderly and has various health issues so finding a good vet that not only listened to my concerns, but also gave sound advice was refreshing! I would highly recommend this practice. Prices are reasonable and staff very friendly!!!!

My wife and I are appalled by the negative reviews we see on this website. This doctor saved our beloved dog by performing an amazing surgery. We have been patrons for many, many years and are huge fans of Brownstown Animal Hospital and its amazing vet.

We have taken all our dogs(4) to this vet and hospital. We have never had any problems with the quality of care our fur babies have received. I have even recommended this hospital to famly & friends. The negative remarks are very upsetting to read.

Best care ever for my cat, Ricky. Dr Mark and staff are professional and friendly and saved Rickys life!. Weve been taking our pets there since 1992. Our dog Charlie loved all the girls there, they always offered him a treat. Best care anywhere!

Worst vet. Ridiculous bill for a spay, and you think its ok to cut my cats nails above the nerve?!? You gave her pain medication for her "spay", but I will bet that its for her poor paws. Do NOT go here.

Not helpful with anything and very ignorant in giving clients information. Also gives an attitude unless your giving them money. I wish I could give a 0 star review.

No care or concern for the animals in his care. Completely disconnected from the animals. If you care for your animals, find another vet.
