I am a new patient at Lakeside Primary Care and have been going to them for about two years. I am also a healthcare professional so I understand both sides of healthcare. In general the staff was professional but not overly friendly. I did have one experience that greatly concerned me as both a patient and a health care professional. I went in for a routine TB test for my job. When I came back 48 hours later to have the test read I walked in and wrote my name on the clip board. The front desk staff called me over to review my insurance and never greeted me or said hello before beginning to review my insurance information and address. When the front desk staff did this she simply asked if anything had changed not saying any of the information to identify that she had the correct patient or information. Then she charged me a copay which was unusual because I do not typically have a copay. The nurse called me back and asked for my weight and asked if I had any concerns I wanted to talk to the doctor about. If you have ever had a TB test read the nurse simply looks at your arm there is no doctor or weight involved. This was when I asked the nurse why she was asking me these questions because I am just here to have a TB test read. Turns out they mixed me up with another patient and charged me another patient’s copay. It is unacceptable that I was confused with another patient when our photos are associated with our charts. As a healthcare professional I understand the extreme importance of insuring you have the correct patent. If I didn’t say anything they wouldn’t have noticed that they had the wrong patient. This is deeply concerning because if they can’t even get the correct patient out of the waiting room or charge the correct person’s insurance how can I trust them with my health. I will be looking for a new primary care because I am not confident that my health is good hands.

I was treated like a meth addict, and laughed at.And nasty remarks were made in front of my face,by the nurses there during an examination.I have suffered from the effects of malnutrition, from being locked in a room most of my life.I also have dermatillomania, and life threatening illnesses. That hospitals found, but lakeside couldnt care less to look into.I understand they have a protocol, but this was plain cruel and put my life in danger.
