If I could give this practice as a whole a lower rating, I would. I have a special needs child with complex medical history...history of stroke, heart defect, epilepsy, arrhythmia...Ended up in Nicklaus Childrens Hospital Urgent Care yesterday and they were wonderful there as usual...but when the urgent care doc wanted to talk to ANY ON CALL DOCTOR in the PA group to determine if we should go to the Emergency Room based on his bloodwork. He just wanted to get base level numbers to make a determination of what was typical levels for my son. He is high risk for endocarditis because of his pervious open heart surgery and also seizures because of his epilepsy. They said no one was available on call for an HOUR from 4:50-5:45 unless we were calling from the hospital already. Stating this was because their after hours clinic didnt open until 5:45. I spoke to the woman on the phone at the same time the urgent care nurse was on the phone trying to get a hold of ANYONE with an MD behind their name. The woman eventually hung up on me when I asked her for her name. NOT ONE SINGLE DOCTOR or FROM THIS GROUP from All locations were available to speak to the dr at the urgent care. This wasnt just an urgent care this is a Miami Childrens Hospital affiliated urgent care, the performed bloodwork, X-rays, and about 3 other necessary procedures. The name carries with it great weight. These doctors opinions here are greatly valued. I have called pediatric associates (not embellishing) 7 times for the same referral request. And this has happened on a minimum of 10 different occasions. Eventually left the Boca location and switched to Gardens. The back office here was better and easier to deal with but then documents ive needed for my sons school took longer than they should have for the doctor to complete because they didnt have notes on his heart defect and needed to call cardiologist to get their records and notes sent over AGAIN. This is his prominent underlying condition! How could they not have these notes!? No excuses! When my son is sick I cant ever get in the same day at the gardens location. The Nicklaus Childrens urgent care doctors (formally Miami childrens) were appalled and said they have NEVER had an experience like that with any pediatrician. Im just disgusted with them and so ready to move on. If I can file a more formal complaint i will. We should have moved on years ago but Dr Reiss was the only thing keeping us for so long. Now I have zero reasons to stay.

We do love our dr S.Barsky, and the office stuff there very nice, however, the wait is ridiculous, but even that did not bother us that much. Week ago our son got sick, i called the office , dr Barsky was not avaliable, which is understood, and we had app with nurse practitioner . No problem, we came , she looked at our son(9,5) month , and said that there is nothing to be concern about , looks like he just got a little cold. since our child had Already a little rash on his body , my husband suggested if that can it possibly be hand- foot - mouth disease ? whithoit any q asked she said she doesnt think so and sinse we were on our way to vac we got a green light . Well, next day, after we ve left florida , and arrived to our vac spot our son was completely covered with rash and blisters all over his feet , legs, arms , and face . I am beyond upset, not only she did not suggest that its a possibility of that particular disease but also she was suggested that option and she couldve asked questions about our childs environment and where he has been in the last couple of days . three days prior to that we went first time to the cool beans in Palm Beach Gardens where he s got it , and i think that info could have been used . Anyways, now we r on family trip with other children w highly contagious disease thanks to negligence of medical worker. We love our dr, but unfurtunwtely will have to find another office were other medical stuff does their homework before their final diagnosis.

I have been seeing the doctors in the Palm Beach Gardens location since they were located in Jupiter. My oldest just turned 7. So, approximately 7 years ago in the Jupiter office we initially started seeing a woman doctor who had left around the time my oldest turned 1. I kept asking what was wrong with my daughters forehead and she kept blowing it off - for an entire year, I trusted her judgment to "watch it as she grows", with our very first appointment with Dr. Barsky he said we definitely needed to see a specialist - my daughter ended up needing helmet therapy and if it wasnt for him finally pointing us in the right direction my daughters head would be deformed!! Hes a great person and doctor, actually cares about what hes doing. All three of the doctors at the office CARE! Dr. Adler is whom weve been seeing lately and Dr. P is great too! Like I said Ive been using this practice for SEVEN YEARS! They can get you in quickly, even after hours if need be. If I trust them with all 3 of my kids it should say a lot. I was very happy to hear that other doctor had left, cant remember her name...

Would not recommend to anyone who wants individualized treatment! I went there after reviewing their doctors on Healthgrades. Unfortunately, two Good Doctors were unavailable at short notice and I had to go with the one that had one star...It is not a surprise that I got a one star service! Doctor was not nice to me when I said that I do not want to vaccinate my child AT THE MOMENT. She told me right then that they cant treat unvaccinated children, but shell finish the exam because I already in the room!!! There was no question about my reasons or if I want to go with the alternative schedule-NOTHING!!! Very unfriendly response from pediatrician! I would not recommend seeing Dr. Romero if you want individualized treatment and warmth. My baby cried when she listened to her heart beat with COLD periscope! Really?! Even in third world country my child was treated with care and warm periscope... And I was charged $130 for it! My last visit!

Youre just a number at this practice. My infant child is special needs and the phone staff at the call center has made it such an unpleasant experience. The real problem is the business aspect of this practice. They have a sense of entitlement and do not care about the patients. Changing to another practice. Also, if you call after hours, youre dealing with nothing more than utter incompetence and disregard for your childs well being, medical issues, and medical history.. Again patients are treated as numbers. I HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere. They abandon their patients without verbal nor written warning and without giving you time to find a new pediatrician for your child. Abandonment is medical malpractice. They should brush up on patients rights. Oh, lets not forget the long wait time.. every time. Avoid this office like the plague as somebody else said in their equally bad review of this pediatric office!

I came to edit my review after being contacted by pediatric associates to try ro fix the issue (previously written below). It was appreciated. I, of course, dont find it fair to give a low rating to the entire establishment due to a few rude, inexperinced or unprofessional employees. However, I did go ahead and chose another doctor. Just wanted to note that they did go out of their way to contact me. (Original review) I may have given them more stars if I ever got a chance to get into the office but I REPEATEDLY have been hung up on!! Not one even gave me their name! Multpile times and on different days. Is it just my bad luck or what?! My kids used the royal palm location for years!!! But, I moved so I guess I will have to just find a different, more professional office!!!
