If I could I would give a 0! My 22 months old niece died in the hands of their ER doctors on September 30, 2014 around 4:30 AM. There were no other patients seen - so they were not busy with anybody else. Yet, they neglected to care for their little patient - and let her died. She went in only with mild signs of dehydration. When she got there she alert, waved to the nurses there & said few words. They simply attached her to an IV and pumped speedily into her tiny body 2+ bags of fluids within 1 hour! They ignored and saw danger in the parents plead for help. When she started showing signs of discomfort - with her heart beating raising up 200s - the said the machine wasnt working properly - when yet indeed the childs chest was pounding. They only took some blood sample and said it was mild high blood sugar reaction. Then she was squirming in discomfort and signs of swollen belly - they again disregarded her parents call for help. Finally when fluids were coming out of her nose and mouth - then they slowly tried to ponder the cause. When her oxygen level dropped dramatically and went into a seizure shock, then they decided to call people to help. By the time they decided to resuscitate her - her tiny feet and hands were already frozen cold ans stiffed. Later on biopsy confirmed that she had a tiny hernia creating a blockage. If these stupid professionals had known better to check her out for all possible causes then they wouldnt have drowned her to death! What knowledgeable professional would pump into 2+ bags of IV fluids into a tiny body so quickly within an hour!!! What professionals would pretend to know what to do - when they clearly didnt! Why didnt they instantly request her to be transferred out of there to another hospital where she could be helped! Her little life was in these professionals hands for 3+ hours - and yet they let her died helplessly! How could they be allowed to be called an ER - and tell people they have pediatricians too. The ambulance called Elkins Park to confirmed that they have pediatricians and that they take children patients because they are knowledgeable! Yet - they saw no worth in this precious child. These guys need to know the pain they have caused to the families and friends of this beautiful angel that they killed because of their negligence and un-professionalism.

From the time we arrived, the entire staff was very rude, inconsistent, disorganized and very nonchalant. We were greeted nurse who seemed as if we disturbed him by coming to the emergency room. We were treated as if I came there with a paper cut, and were questioned every five minutes about insurance, co-pay, sign here, sign there. We also had a nurse who seemed to have no knowledge on how to take blood, so when doing so, blood spilled everywhere. There also a host of other things that were seemingly wrong with my visit. I will NEVER refer anyone to come to Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park.

I would put a zero if I had the option. I came through the ER and got admitted, worse decision I could take. Nobody wants to do their job, you ask something and they say theyre not sure. Nobody gives a straight answer. My IV was licking blood, I asked several times for them to change it and literally it took them TEN hours to do so. Everything about this place is ridiculous, the waiting time, the long face of the nurses, the lack of cleaning of the floors, bathrooms and so on. This is horrible! If it was up to me, I would take my IV out and run away from this horrible place.

Day time service is wonderful the nighttime and afternoon service is horrible. They seem like your nothing or something. They want you out of there as fast as possible. Not to mention they all seemed come and at night super mean. If I could it would get a zero.

ER at Einstein has great people and prompt and attentive care. I went in with a sprained ankle and came out feeling better and with solutions to other issues!
