I have a mixed review about this center. When I was there I only waited about an hour and a half and the staff was very friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. I went on August 26th for an an issue with my eye. This was my first time going there and I didnt really know how this worked. I was told this visit is similar to a specialist and the copay would be $60. I paid the copay and picked up the prescription for $7. Four months later I received a bill in the mail for $65 that was sent to an address I havent lived at in over 3 years. The bill was 2 months late and because I was told this was a specialist and my copay for my insurance is only $60, I was a little confused as to why I owed an additional $65. Of course I immediately called my insurance company and they told me that patient first billed as an urgent care facility, which the copay was $125. My insurance company explained that sometimes there are specialists and sometimes theyre an urgent care. It makes no sense to tell the patient their first time that this is the co-pay when in fact its not. Its very confusing and a little misleading. They never explained that if you come there you are going to be billed one amount or another depending on the services you get. That is not typical for how a lot of medical centers are run especially if you have insurance and usually pay one copay. I guess financially it doesnt matter if I go to the hospital or an urgent care center, but as for waiting time and services Patient First is definitely better than a lot of hospitals in my area. Just from my experience know that you might be paying a little bit more than you were told. And its probably best to check with your insurance before going there.

When I first walked into Patient First everyone was extremely friendly. The woman who signed me in was wonderful. The nurse who took me back into the room and did my testing was great as well. When it was time to discuss my blood work results, an older woman doctor. (gray hair, heavy set, glasses) rolled in on her chair. She started off asking what was wrong and what my symptoms were. After I explained that I had just been on vacation and that we were drinking, I was asked "so youre telling me you had nothing better to do on your vacation then drink?" After she had told me I had given myself stomach gastritis. She then told me "I need to re evaluate my life choices, or find a better group of friends to hang around". She then asked me if alcoholism ran in my family, because it sounds like I am beginning to develop a problem. Being that I am 25 years old and a social drinker, and that I was just at an all inclusive resort on a vacation, it MUST mean im an alcoholic??I am disgusted at how awful and discomforting this "Dr.s" bedside manner was. There was a much better way to tell me what needs to be changed or what I can do to prevent this medical issue. On my way out I told the receptionist how terrible she was, and she told me that she was extremely sorry and that they "get complaints about her all of the time". Maybe something should be done, or it should be brought to her attention that you cannot speak to patients like this. I left so upset. I didnt ask this Dr. for a therapy session, I went there in need of help to get to the bottom of my symptoms. I would expect greater care from a Dr., especially when I am the one paying!

Would never recommend someone to go here. When I arrived there were 3 people in the waiting room but between filling out my information with the front desk and waiting in the back to see the doctor it was about 2 hours. When the doctor finally came in she seemed to have no idea what she was doing/talking about when I explained to her what was going on with my ears and how I thought I had an ear infection. She spent about 7 minutes total in the room with me and then prescribed me to ear drops that I had used in the past (which are $230 because I dont have prescription coverage and there is no generic brand) I had a feeling something was off so when I got to my pharmacy I asked if they could find me anything for a more reasonable price which they did although they were still $50. Im so glad that I decided to see my family doctor today because I did not trust the information the doctor at the clinic told me and I was right! He told me to immediately stop using the ear drops there is no evidence in the canal of an infection its a middle ear infection located behind my ear drum and he said he couldnt understand why she would even prescribe me to drops in the first place! Im just glad I didnt end up going and getting the $230 ear drops which were not even necessary to begin with! My doctor told me if I ever need urgent care when they arent open again to go across the street to the Abington urgent care!

Hello my name is Gregory Pugh. I have never visited any of these facilities. My finger had been aching for over a week, but i kept ignoring it. Earlier in the day it had swollen and while out in the evening shopping with my wife I noticed that it had really swelled to almost twice the normal size and around the nail area it was discolored and really hurting bad. I googled a facility in the area and was given the closest one to where I was. I called at 8:30 pm on Thursday and was told they were open until 10:00 pm. I was about 15 minutes away. I asked questions on the phone and the receptionist was so knowledgeable and friendly. The place was so comfortable and hospitable. I signed in , waited about 5 minutes to triage and another 6 minutes before being taken to the examining room. 7 minutes later the doctor walked in. He was very gentle and explained everything he was doing in detail. Im not fond of needles, but he was great and i was very pleased with the services. I was back to work 4:00am the next morning, pain free. I would recommend the facility to anyone. It definitely detours me from the Hospitals ER. The facility, wait time, the service, the staff and Doctor all deserve an A+

I very rarely write 1-star reviews unless I feel the company truly warrants one. I have a few issues with this place. First, is there willingness to, in what at least in both mine & my wifes experiences, was expensive over testing. My wife went in for what was essentially a bad cold & they wanted to perform several tests, which she turned down. I went in for a sore throat and was given multiple tests, at least one of which had such a low relevance to my symptoms, I cant see how it was necessary. 2nd, my wife & I have been hit with over $10,000 in medical bills recently. Times are tough and while I understand doctors wont work for free, weve been trying to pay a little to each of our bills each month. Patient First was the only doctor to send us to collections & add collection fees after only a few months of not paying in full. Again, I understand theyre a business & need to collect, & if they read this, I apologize that weve had difficulty paying in full, but piling on (again, imho) expensive irrelevant tests & sending to collections very quickly sends the wrong message about your business. Needless to say, we wont be going back.
