My wife got Chicken Pox, so visited them on a Sunday afternoon. Seemed that they have absolutely no idea about how to deal with a Chicken Pox patient. Details below: 1) We knew that Chicken Pox is a highly contagious and infectious disease. Thats why before visiting, I called them to ask if we can come in...In a very affirmative voice the receptionist assured, off course we can come in. After reaching there, first thing I informed them at reception that I am visiting here, because my wife got Chicken Pox but no body was much worried, until they sent us to the paramedics /nurse for initial diagnosis. The real drama started over there... 2) In the paramedic/nurse room while one nurse was busy asking the patient details (name, DoB) the other nurse got busy to measure the heartbeat, pressure etc, before we could tell them anything. Paramedics/Nuse: Why are you here....? Me: She has Chicken Pox, probably... Wife: I got Chicken Pox. Paramedics: Do you have any problem or discomfort...? Wife: I am having fever along with blisters... Paramedics: Do you have blisters....? Where...? Wife: Yes a couple of them on face, couple of them on the abdomen etc... Couple of minute of confusion, suddenly the paramedic nurses fled like they have seen a ghost, without saying a word to us. Remember, at the very beginning I informed at the reception that she has chicken pox. 3) After they fled they couldnt return before 10 minutes, atleast. They came back wearing mask and gloves and gave a mask to my wife. I believe this should have been done much earlier as soon as we told them at reception. Still I apologized that I informed at reception, probably I should have informed you here again. ( i didnt know that you dont communicate) They replied no problem. But they felt very uneasy and scared to death, about Chicken Pox. 4) We followed the paramedics to doctors room. Over there the paramedics handed me over another mask. But they dont know and never bothered to ask that I have already been through chicken pox when I was young hence developed immunity against the disease. Actually I am sharing the bed, dishes and everything else with the patient (my wife), forget about mask... :) Hence I didnt bother to wear the mask. 5) The first visit of the doctor was courteous and professional. Seemed that he tried to do the diagnosis, he also took picture of the blisters. The doctor left the room asking us to wait. He said the nurse will hand us over the prescription within 15 minutes. 6) After half an hour we were still waiting in the Doctors room. One nurse or paramedic informed they need some more time. 7) After 40 -45 minutes the doctor appeared again. This time he wanted to collect a sample from one of the blisters for analysis. Now we understood he was actually consulting with his colleges, or studying something. Probably this was the first time he saw a Chicken Pox patient....:). I am an IT/ Software professional, but much more comfortable with Chicken Pox than the doctor. 8) After the doctor left, he asked us to collect the papers from reception. 9) We had to wait another 15 minutes before the prescription and other papers were ready. 10) Now we see that everybody at reception is wearing a mask, including the patients who are waiting. This is good and welcome step but it should have been taken much earlier, as soon as we arrived. 11) They didnt advise me anything about the infection, patient care, diet etc. Summary: They dont have knowledge and expertise about how to deal with a Chicken Pox patient.

I got to the office at 745-750pm. I understand that they were closing soon so when I walked in I politely asked if they could see me quickly for my eye in which I had been having some simple discharge from and some irritation. The girl at the front desk and the girl in the back told me "we dont treat eyes here" I then explained to them that I had been treated for my same eye and pain and irritation here at this office about 2 months ago. I had also brought in the ciprofloxacin solution drops that this office had prescribed for me when I was here last. After I told the front desk girl this I could still hear the one girl in that back saying they dont treat eyes here. Then the front desk girl went around to the back to talk to the girls and I could clearly hear them complaining and huffing and puffing about me being there and then talking about the time. They seemed more concerned with trying to send me to an ER (which theres no reason for me to be there for something this simple) and more concerned with trying to get out of there so they can close and leave. So then after I was told I would be seen, I was told it would be about 45 mins. I then asked the front desk girl if I could run out to my car to grab my coffee and she told me I needed to hurry and told me to go now with this attitude so she could close the doors. I wasnt going to post anything but this is now the 2nd time I have been here and had a bad experience. The staff are extremely rude and dont seem to care at all about the patients. Even while sitting in the exam room I hear how the doctors are talking to some patients and there extremely ignorant and talk down to you. The last time I was here I was given these drops and told that it would clear up my eye and it never did. I decided to come back here and give them a 2nd chance and again as soon as I come in its the same thing. Rude, ignorant and condescending people. Even sitting in the exam room I can hear them talking ignorantly about previous patients.

I went to this Urgent Care on 6/8/16 for my daughter who is 7 months old. I was at my job with my daughter and all the sudden she broke out in hives and it appeared as though she had an allergic reaction to something. So I took her to the closest urgent care near my job which so happens to be this one. When I got there I had already explained the situation to the receptionist over the phone and let her know that I was coming in. When I got there, there was one man sitting in the waiting room. I went up to the front desk got checked then sign papers and waited my turn. About four other people came in after I did and then another three people came in. As I was waiting I was looking behind the front desk and could see everyone back there conversing with each other they must have taken 3 people that came in after me . So Im sitting there and my daughters hives start to get worse and I had already been sitting for an hour and a half . So I go to the reception is this and ask them why is it taking so long for my daughter to be seen when I told you that shes having an allergic reaction of some sort. how long is it going to be. The receptionist told me about another 45 minutes. I packed up my stuff and walked out and took my daughter to Virtua childrens emergency room. I will tell you one thing there was nothing urgent about that Urgent Care. Because if my daughter was having a bad allergic reaction and may have needed an EpiPen she would have been able to be seen for over two hours are you kidding me. I will never step foot in that place again and I dont recommend it for anyone else. The staff definitely need a sense of urgency about them. That was terrible.
