My regular vet is a ten mile drive each way so when my service dog needed a shot twice a week for his arthritis I thought Id call the Munhall Veterinary Hospital, in spite of their many poor reviews, to see if I could arrange treatment closer to home. Just give the dog a shot twice a week, how hard can that be? I called four times on a Monday, first they wanted all his charts, (I agreed) then they would not give him a shot with out a physical (I agreed), they were going to call me right back and they never did. I dont think those demands are unreasonable, if they would just call me back, but they never did. Maybe they are not difficult and incompetent with everyone. But they are very independent, demanding and non-communicative. My business was his to lose and he lost it with out so much as a first visit. That alone is a remarkable achievement.

I have been taking my dogs here for years. In the last few years, the service and staff have improved dramatically. The service and professionalism they provide, leaves no doubt that whoever is running this operation has done a wonderful job of training their staff. I have been seeing them often since my two dogs are ageing and in need of a lot of care. Everyone there seems to be animal lovers and their compassion showes. This is a very busy clinic and everyone tries their best. They will go out of there way to provide your loved ones with the care and compassion that you expect. Barry Carb

I’m redoing my whole review on this vet. They do not clean. there was dog fur on the weighing table, there’s so much dirt and grime on the floors the vet told me that they try to get people in and out and that sometimes they forget to use the stethoscope! Staff was actually pretty decent this time not like before. The vet was helpful but seemed a little rude like he didn’t want to do certain things but at the same time was nice to me and my cat. I’ll go again only because it’s close to home.

I wish I could pick 0 stars. I went to put my dog down, she couldnt get herself off the floor, couldnt walk, etc. I get there & the veterinarian said Im being selfish for putting her down, shes fine & he proceeded to call me a "dog killer"..... Yea because I really wanted to put my best friend to sleep.... Horrible, disgusting, terrible excuse for a veterinarian.

The doc had to look up my dogs rash in 3 books (I later found it easier on Google). Then he determined it was one of 3 things, so he over-prescribed antibiotics and steriods, sold us a medicated shampoo for 35 bucks (which I found on amazon for 8) and ear drops the dog didnt need. Just way too much for a guess.

Ive been taking my various "family members" (cats, dogs, and guinea pigs) here for years now. Theyve always been caring and compassionate to our needs. Every time Ive needed an emergency appointment, theyve always managed to fit us in on that same day.

Been taking our dogs there for over 10yrs and they are great march 2015 my oldest had a seizure at the front door and they cleared the office and rushed us right to the back room and saved my baby. Our dogs are part of our family just like are kids.

Total disorganization! Rude and inconsiderate staff. Very dirty office. Waited for 35 minutes past appointment time and left. Too many appointments scheduled for the same time. Never going back!!!

This was the first time to see Dr. Ortiz. He gave Zena a thorough exam and was quite caring and gentle. The other staff are just as caring. Im very happy with their service and fees.

Excellent animal hospital. Staff makes sure your taken care of quickly. Vets are knowledge in what vaccines to get your animals.
