This review is long overdue. Our pets have gone to Downtown Greensboro Animal Hospital for two years. We have a dog, three cats, and a rabbit. Dr. Wehe and the entire staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Ill never forget my first visit where Dr. Wehe got on the floor and checked my dog all over. He is the first vet to have given an exam as thorough as any human doctor I have seen. I always find them to be honest, they never push procedures or medications. I have had them tell me i didnt need something that another vet would have pushed for the extra money. IThis review is long overdue. Not only do we love Dr. Wehe but Naomi, Joe, Emily, Beth, and everyone else there is amazing as well.

I own a Yorkshire terrier who has been to so many vets because she has such bad skin infections. It is something she has had her whole life and none of the vets I have ever seen have helped her in the long run. I saw Dr. Wehe and he was concerned about her skin even though I was there about some other issues. I had pretty much given up hope and told him yeah dont worry about it she has always been like that. He was actually genuinely concerned and did not want to move forward with any other procedure until he had fixed her skin. So all he simply did was give us some antibiotics and told us to continue using the medical shampoo I have always had but increase using it to twice a week. Guess what!? It worked wonders and her skin has been amazing for the longest time. Other vets always would do all these other things trying to get as much money out us as they could saying they wanted to do allergy testing or yeast shots. I am so glad I found this place! My yorkie Angel can finally after 8 years of her life not be itchy and irritated. The entire staff is kind and caring. This vet is downtown and almost has an art gallery feel on the inside with lots of woods making it super homey. I would recommend this vet 100%!!!!

My very nervous little dog Mr. YoYo, in the past hated going to the vet. Since I changed to Dr. Wehes office he very bravely walks up to the front doors and bounces against them for me to open and let him in. Yes, he is still a little nervous but trusts the staff there and doesnt fight to get out as he did at other places. Recently they cleaned his teeth and took care of some dental problems he had and after a short recovery he is running around like his normal hyper self. I didnt realize he had some bad teeth, now he gobbles up his food instead of being so picky. Glad I had left him in their hands to check them out and also they took the time to show me how to help keep his teeth healthy to avoid future problems. I am so happy I decided to give them a try, he now has a new vet family to visit willingly when he needs to! Kudos to the Dr. Wehe and all his wonderful staff!

This is not only the best veterinary clinic in Greensboro---it is superior to any Ive visited in numerous other cities. Dr. Wehe and his entire staff are very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Wehe took excellent care of our two dogs and one cat during the year we lived in Greensboro. Then, when we decided to move abroad for work reasons, he and his staff truly went above and beyond, assisting with seemingly endless, time-sensitive, detail-oriented paperwork for immigration---always with smiles and efficiency. They made our move to a foreign country (an already very stressful event) much less frightening than it could have been in less competent hands.I cant recommend and thank Dr. Wehe strongly enough! A great experience.

My two daughters and I came to know Downtown animal hospital a couple of years ago when one of our two guinea pigs developed a problem and the vet we were using at the time(banfield)was completely clueless about treating guinea pigs and/or,where to even take one for treatment.Fortunately,after a few calls,we were referred to Downtown where Dr.Wehe was well versed in the treatment of guineas and took care of the problem.We now take both guineas and our two dogs,holly and lacey(the crazy one) for all their medical needs!We get much more personal treatment for a lot less money than at banfield,with excellent results!Call and talk to Beth,shes my favorite!

We decided to try DGAH after our old vet proved to be less than stellar. I was so happy with the staff here! Not only did the receptionist actually acknowledge our entrance (not the case at some places), but she was so friendly! And Dr. Wehe was excellent with our Shiba. She is always so hyper, but he was very calm and helped her chill out by sitting with her and keeping her focused. Not only that, he let us see her being given her shots so we would know where to be gentle. I just thought that was really awesome. They were very attentive and respectful.

I wouldnt trust my four pets to any other clinic! Dr. Wehe is fantastic! Ive been a client of his for nearly 5 years. He has a wonderful bedside manner with me, my two dogs and two cats. Last year, I nearly lost one of my kitties to chronic bladder infections. Dr. Wehe identifed the problem, performed a successful surgery, and Finnigan is doing great! Dr. Wehe and his staff are friendly, professional, and always easy to contact. The new facility is gorgeous - funcitonal as well as stylish! I highly recommend DGAH!!!

We LOVE DGAH. Ever since we adopted Piper and Rocky we have taken them here and have always been impressed by their service. We now live in the Charlotte area, but if theres ever an emergency, they have been WONDERFUL to help, we still make the trip for all check ups. Its a very relaxing environment for all animals as well - - even though vet visits cant be their favorite outing, Dr Wehe and his team make it as great of an experience as it can be! You can definitely tell they have a passion for what they do.

I had taken my 17 y.o. cat Louie (read Lucifer) into Dr. Wehe for the first time and Louie was really feeling poorly. I cautioned them about his less than angelic demeanor and him trying to pick fights with the neighborhood dogs; this did not seem to phase them at all and shortly Dr. Wehe returned uninjured. The short of it is that Louie was fine in no time and the staff is not only professional but super nice. Although they may not relish another visit from Louie, I feel certain they will get one. :)
