The listen, they care, and theyve helped us create solutions that work given the realities of our busy lives and limited funds. All of the vets have been great with our dogs and cats, giving us detailed information about our options, steering us away from expensive treatments and opting first for conservative and cost-effective approaches. When we faced the possibility of euthanizing our dog during surgery, they allowed us to stay in the office to hear the outcome, so that we could enter the surgery room and say goodbye to her before putting her down, if need be. The also kept us informed of the costs of the procedures during each decision-making phase of the surgery. Last but not least, they helped us determine which options were a good fit for our pets personalities, habits and life-stages, and that we could successfully implement given our schedules (hectic) and priorities (family, work, pets, and not always in that order).

Dr. Wiles is the most compassionate vet I have ever met!!! He has a heart larger than life when it comes to animals and the love that they bring to humans. I have had a few of my pets put to sleep because of their illnesses and a part of me died along with them and Dr. Wiles shared the sadness along with me. I never went to any other vet in his clinic except for him. I put all my faith and trust in that man alone. He is the best. He talks TO you and not AT you and that is a wonderful thing. He LISTENS to you and not just HEARS you. This is what makes a WONDERFUL VET. There is no other like him!!!!!! I have my picture of me and my Amber Dog on his bulletin board in his office. She is no longer with me, but she will forever be in my heart!!

This past visit with our dog was no different than any other during the 13 years that weve been going to Dr. Weils. He is a very caring, gentle and thorough vet. His staff is pleasant and professional and very sympathetic to an animals needs. Our dog was brought in by our in-laws while we were out of state on vacation. They kept him overnight for 2 nights and they examined and monitored him and the techs gave him extra loving and attention as he is in his final days. We came home right away from vacation and Dr. Weils was very empathetic and kind enough to greatly reduce the cost for us. I would never consider taking a pet to any other veteranarian. He and his staff are the very best!

Dr. Tom Wiles has been my vet since the 1980s with my dog Ginger, who lived almost 17 years, 2 cats, Danielle, and Jordan, both lived about 14-17 years), my dog Chelsea, who had diabetes and Cushings disease and passed away in 2012. He currently, along with Dr. Judy and staff, take care of my dogs Candy, Crystal, Dusty, Cody and my cats, Teddy and Tara. The quality of care provided is fantastic. Dr. Wiles and Dr. Judy follow up with a phone call to be sure they are doing well after a procedure or with a medical issue. The staff are like family, as some have been there as long as I have been seeing Dr. Wiles. We love Dr. Wiles, Dr. Judy and everyone at Pittsburgh Spay& Vaccination Clinic.

Dr. Wiles was fantastic. He provided a very thorough exam for each of my guinea pigs and also made time to answer all the questions I had. He even called me the same night with a ton of useful information. I was astounded that he was able to gather all this information and give me a call the same day. He even went out of his way to contact a lead vet for Oxbow. I cant tell you how grateful I am to Dr. Wiles, as well as one of the staff (Diane), who also called separately to let me know that Dr. Wiles had phoned in a prescription and would be calling me later. I am so impressed with the care my piggies received and how quickly and thoroughly Dr. Wiles followed up.

After having the same vet for 15 yrs, we switched to PSVC because of the wonderful end-of-life care they provided to our neighbors dogs. Theyre very near by and are very accommodating in ease of appointment scheduling. Our first couple of visits have been nothing but positive. The techs and docs were friendly and professional. The other thing I like is that they dont drag treatment out. They seem to find the most proficient way to treat your pet and are done... no extra follow-ups, no extra meds, etc. I am confident, however, that if such a need would arise that our pets needed extra care, treatments or meds, they wouldnt hesitate to do whats necessary.

Tom Wiles has been our vet since he first moved back to Pittsburgh and took over the clinic on Baum Blvd.; long before the current location was built. We have had many dogs, cats and various other pets over the years. Tom continues to be the caring, interested, intelligent, empathic veterinarian who I first met all of those years ago. He goes out of his way to research things and call specialists for specific information and/or appointments. He is always up on current veterinary treatments and care. I can honestly say that I often wish that Tom was a human practitioner because of the level of care that he consistently provides.

Dr. Wiles is the only vet in the city that knows about rabbits. There are other "rabbit doctors" but the ones I know (and know of) will give you mis-information. Our house bunny--who is also a "therapy bunny" certified through Bunnies in Baskets that we take to nursing homes and the like--sees Dr. Wiles and is very calm in his office. We take our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy to Dr. Judy (Dr. Wiles didnt have any availability for new dogs) and she is very nice, good with pets, competent, prompt in getting back by phone, etc. The vet techs have a good way with animals too, including calming our puppy down after vaccines.

My animals have gone to PSVC and Dr. Wiles since 1992, when I first moved to the area. Hes a wonderful vet, very caring, informative, and practical. Im a big fan! Its all about what is good for the animals, and I appreciate that approach to veterinary care. Usually there are some like-minded vets hes partnering with--currently, Dr Judy has been super in advising me about a senior (19-20 years) dog, and a Mini Schnauzer with digestive issues. Staff has been with him for years--some of them since before 1992--and his ability to keep his techs says a lot about his attitude toward the practice.

I have taken my four cats, Sammy, Robbie, Coco and Gracie to the Clinic for almost a year now on numerous occasions. They have had annual check-ups and vaccinations, one had dental surgery and shaving, one (a stray I took in) had a problem with worms and feline leukemia. All of these issues have been addressed and all of my cats are doing very well. I believe the Clinic provides excellent care and I find their rates to be much better than at other Vets I have taken my cats to. I was referred to them by a volunteer at the Animal Rescue League and I am very happy we starting going there.
