If it were possible for me to give a lower rating I would. I went to this hospital for an ER visit due to a chrons disease flair up. After receiving little care/attention I was sent home. The biggest problem that I have is that their billing department is possibly the absolute worst/most disorganized group of people alive. First they couldnt figure out how to bill my insurance so they tried to stick me with a HUGE ER bill. They kept telling me that my insurance was fake or expired (even though they scanned a copy of my valid insurance card at the check in). after months of back and forth with them they finally billed my insurance. I was put on their monthly billing system which I had been paying $50 monthly but just received another bill for the full ER visit. I called the billing department and they told me that "One bill is for the visit, the other for the service". I have never in my life heard of anything like this. 2 bills for the exact same visit on the same amount??? Then she told me for the service charge they billed a insurance company (student services??) that I dont even have... My insurance card was magically not on file anymore so I had to go over all that again but she said she would bill them. Next she starts to read me other bills that I apparently have from the same visit for random charges of $40 and $62 that have been sent to collections... Never once received a bill for either of these charges. I decided it best to just call my lawyer. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOSPITAL AND DO MY BEST TO STEER PEOPLE AWAY FROM THIS BILLING NIGHTMARE & MEDIOCRE CARE!

If 0 stars was an option I would have chosen that. I was looking forward to delivering here after hearing so many great stories from people I know. Unfortunately our experience was anything but wonderful. The unit clerk who checked us in (the first face you see when you get to the OB unit) was unfriendly and borderline rude. She handed me a paper to write down some of my info with other patient information on it. Very confidential and professional of her. The OB unit is so busy it makes you feel like youre one of dozens of moms-just another number. In the post pardum unit, housekeeping was terminally cleaning and banging furniture in the rooms next to us at 3 am. People were constantly barging in and out of our room with very little courtesy- and forget cluster care!!! They forgot to close the door most of the time so after having a c-section I had to get it of bed to close the door. The noise level of nurses in the hallways was atrocious. The girl from the lab came to draw my labs but "wasnt allowed" to tell me what labs she was drawing. I could go on and on. I had my daughter at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday and by Saturday morning I was ready to leave-and did! Holy redeemer OB unit you have a lot of work do to.

This hospital is the absolute worst. We live next door and brought our 2 yr old in for severe vomiting. They denied him access to the pediatric urgent unit as they dont accept obamacare in that unit. Disgraceful...especially for a religion based hospital. Big ol jesus statue out front, but you better have that high priced employer based insurance. (Im a salon owner so I get none). He got no iv to prevent dehydration, no testing. Just zofran and a cup of pedialyte. The attending physician was a total prick. Asked me questions but would keep cutting me off before i could finish my reply. I ended up telling him, can i please talk?? There was a well off looking family in the waiting room. The mother was in a wheelchair, pale, about to keel over....waiting 2 hours. The nurse was very rude when the husband asked about it. The next day we saw his pediatrician who was very pissed they didnt give him tests or an iv. My son is still ill, 3 days later. Despite the fact we live next door, we will be making the drive to capital health in ewing nj where he was born. Thats the only hospital we get any respect at. Every PA hospital in between is absolutely pathetic.

I was a patient there on Thursday, October 23, 2014 and I had a horrible experience miscarrying my child. I walked in and checked in to the triage, went to the bathroom and miscarried there. I announced it to the staff but was told that a room was not ready for me and I must sit in the waiting area. I waited there for a little over an 1/2 hour bleeding on myself in front of other people waiting, while two others walked in before me. A little after a transporter took me to ultrasound where I nearly bled to death. I was not given a gown, a change of pads or anything until my partner made it an issue. Luckily my partner was there to help change and wipe me down because no one was sensitive to my situation. I was there for three hours with no pain medication. No one checked on me until my partner went to FIND a nurse and after she came in she did not ask if I needed anything, I was just told I have to wait and see a doctor. My partner was searching for gowns through racks and extra blankets to cover the blood tracks and I was given a $100.00 co pay and sent home. I would NEVER return as a patient or recommend this hospital to anyone!

I had 3 babies in the Holy Redeemer Maternity Center: in 2008, 2011 and 2014. Great experience all 3 times. Holy Redeemer has private delivery suites and private postpartum rooms. That’s a huge plus. All facilities were clean; staff was professional and several nurses were exceptional, especially on the delivery floor. Overall care I received was excellent Lactation consultant visit is a part of the post-delivery care, which I think is a great thing for first time moms. Food service was OK. I mean I wouldn’t go there just for the food but I actually liked their cheesesteak. Stay away from fancy-ish items on the menu. Fresh fruit was good. And yes – cheesesteak. Dad (or whoever you choose – up to 2 people) can stay overnight but rooms are really not furnished for people other than mom to sleep. If you live close by it would make more sense to drive home and come back in the morning. Bottom line: I’d recommend Holy Redeemer Maternity Center. Private clean rooms, variety of OB GYN and pediatricians to choose from and professional nursing staff.

The on call emergency for Holland Medical Associate. It was at 12:50 pm on Jan. 15, 2017, and I call the emergency line. The one that answered my call was nasty and said I cannot hear you. I did speak well because I graduated from Holy Family University, and I am a teacher for Special education and autism. She continuted to say, "I cannot hear you." Therefore, I raised my voice so she could hear me. Then she said I am yelling. I told her I raised my voice so you can hear me. Then I said, "I am the patient with vomiting 30 times (not exaggerating), and I am in the bathroom at the same time. I said "I am the patient, and you are the on call emergency clerk. I continued to say, "You should be more caring and considerate because I am the patient suffering with the attacks. The bottom line is that I called Holy Redeemer main phone number, and I spoke to one of the head nurses. She said she would take care of the situation. My rating was POOR. HOW SAD. PEOPLE NEED TO BE RETRAIN.
