I recently had my baby let me tell you a little about my experience: As soon as I got there the nurses that greeted me acting all annoyed because it was the end of there shifts and none of them wanted to start my paperwork, once I was in a room the doctor came in never introduced himself and talked to the nurse and never to me. Finally he looked at me and said that his shift ended at 7pm and "lets get this baby delivered before then" he said he was going to swab to make sure I was only leaving amniotic fluid and proceeded to give me an internal exam without telling me he was going to do it. I was startled and in lots of pain. He them go annoyed with me because I started crying and got upset that is when he said, "I have lots of other patients I dont have time to explain every little thing". On top of all that, they gave me a epidural right away and I couldnt even walk around to help the process. Hours after they had given me the epidural I was in a lot of pain, not only did the nurse roll her eyes at me when I said something was wrong but she didnt even call anyone right away finally she did and they had put it in wrong and it was unplugged from the machine so I ended up having my baby with no pain medication which wasnt my plan. When they did give me something to take the edge off my daughters heart rate went through the roof and mine bottomed out. Well, long awful story short, my daughter was delivered at 7:00 on the dot!! The doctor who had made me very aware that his shift was over then, ripped her out of me with forceps which isnt even a method most doctors will even use anymore. It was awful!! Thank God my daughter is amazing now. Oh and when Lilly was born she had a huge bruise on the whole left side of her face and a cut on her head!! When I went into my room after I had her it was dirty and filled with extra furniture. If i can give any advice if you are having a baby AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS!!!

Dont bring your relatives or yourself here if you have an oncological diagnosis. The ER staff are great but my relative, due to the condition diagnosed in the ER, was to stay in the hospital. The rooms are not the usual bright, clean, White looking rooms that hospital usually have. The A/C was not functioning properly inside the room and they only had a small window from which light came in. The hallways are like a maze and at times the lights would be off in hallways when it was not even the evening. The nurses have no knowledge of anything related to the diagnosis. My relative was to get several procedures done here according to the doctors plan and since I was not trusting anyone or the hospital at this point we decided to transfer to another hospital. When I requested the transfer the internal medicine doctor was very kind and helpful but the surgeon (whom I spoke to over the phone) started explaining to me that he was the best transplant surgeon in the area. I asked why was he insisting on talking about transplants if the procedure that would be done had nothing to do with transplants. He said that they would take the organ in and out. So being a physician myself I said that we would continue this conversation in person since I was in my way to the hospital. When I arrived they called the surgeon and after saying he was on his way to the room, he said he needed to leave and that he wasnt coming back. I asked who would explain to me what exactly was the plan and they sent a resident who again started talking about transplants and his explanation was that if this surgeon was good at transplants then he was good at anything else. Right then I knew I had to take my relative out of this place. Just because he is good at transplants doesnt mean he can perform properly the procedure that my relative needed. It didnt involve taking the organ in and out like her mentioned.

For the most part I had a really good experience here. I delivered my second child here hoping to gain a more personal experience than the one I had gotten with my first birth at Virtua. The nurses all seemed very friendly and genuinely vested in my delivery. It took three nurses four attempts to get the IV going in my arm and that was very frustrating being in labor and all but other than that, it was fine. They were pretty busy and I ended up delivering in a room just meant for laboring so it was a tight squeeze. Since I didnt have time for the epidural the afterbirth was horrendous as I wasnt emptying my bladder on my own which was causing my uterus to not contract. That was just about as painful as giving birth. They did what they could. There were a couple instances that I wasnt completely happy but I think youll get that wherever you go. Overall, I would recommend Lourdes to anyone. They also have a pretty good ER that is not always overly busy. The food, surprisingly, was really good!

They shouldnt even get 1 star but I couldnt post the review with out putting at least 1. The emergency wing employees at the front desk, security, and nurses were very disrespectful. They are not good with taking to people. They seem to not care about anyone an just be there strictly to get the paycheck. They look down on people if they are admitted for certain reasons (obviously addmitted for a reason not great but people make mistakes) and they were talking bad about the person while I was in the waiting room knowing I can clearly hear. I asked about going in the room twice and twice they got an attitude and was very disrespectful treating me like I was dirt. I recommend any other hospital. My experience was terrible and wouldnt wish it on anyone. Dont know about the other wings. But emergency employees were some of the worst I ever experienced at any establishment

This is probably one of the WORST hospitals in New Jersey. This hospital and their careless and uneducated staff sent my father home with a broken knee. They "didnt see anything wrong in the X-ray". What a bunch of idiots. Its not the first time theyve failed as a health provider. My father was admitted to the emergency room with what was possibly a ruptured hernia, they sent him home in excruciating pain and told him to call his gp and a surgeon the next day. Take my advice, if you have any kind of emergency--keep driving once you get to their location on Haddon Avenue. Youre better off going to a GP and going to any other hospital from there. South Jersey Doctors and Hospitals all SUCK!
