BEWARE AND BE CAREFUL! I had a prescheduled c-section in which the hospital called me two days before and demanded 5k or they would cancel on me, it was not a pleasant experience on the phone (the lady was not overly nice or understanding but her supervisor was quite rude and stated I had to pay in full ahead of time or no c-section). I paid half of what they demanded as that is what I had at the time after pleading with them for quite some time, she gave me maybe an hour or so to come up with the funds (as I wanted to see what the actual bill and cost would be before I forked over the money since it was a decent amount and I knew I would still owe for my daughter, the doctors etc.). The hospital knew this was scheduled months in advance but they thought calling a woman who was VERY pregnant and almost due to shake her down in a not nice way was appropriate to get what they called THEIR money. Then I never received the bill and still have not when I gave birth in May and it is now December. Only to find out I overpaid per insurance, which RWJ has even confirmed when I had to call them countless times. I been contacting the administrative staff/billing staff for months regarding the credit (as far back in August). They said recently I received the large credit some time last month, but I have not (I have even checked with bank which says the same) and someone would call me back to figure this out, but every time I call they say the same thing and NO ONE calls me is that apologetic or even cares. If I owed them money I would be in collections by now but they feel they can just not pay me. They just apparently plan on keeping my money and not helping me or calling me and assisting me anyways. I will do anything to avoid going to this hospital if I can, the only way I would have another child or procedure there is if I had no choice and was not able to decide, that is brought in, in an ambulance (but lets hope that is not the case). Again BE CAREFUL and BE AWARE that they dont care about taking your money and not giving it back!!!

One of the worst hospitals in the US. the m...f.... doctors at the MICU - the so called intensivists there are a whole bunch of idiotic uneducated indian docs who are out there to kill your family members. they do nothing just write a whole bunch of notes in the file taking hours and hours to write and only 1 min to assess the patient. Please if you really care for your family members DO NOT let them suffer and die at the hands of Indian morons docs who have studied medicine in the indian villages and come to USA to make millions of dollars. US health industry please make note of this. I had a family member recently in micu and the imdian docs the intensivists simply said, just let him go. he is not going to make it. i know my family member has always been a strong willed perrson not afflicted with any diseases but started bleeding cos the docs carelessness and was put on blood thinners which they could not regulate and monitor and he started bleeding so severely that they could not control it and finally simply said he will not make it. They did not give him fluids, no blood or blood products to stop the bleeding. Useless bastards they all are.Its a shame for all the medical community that they could not control the bleeding. It is not only this case. when i spoke to other family members in micu, they too had the same complaints. sometimes the docs say the patient is getting better and some other docs say he is on the way. there is no consistency amongst the doctors. they do not communicate with each other regarding a patients health and family members are kept guessing what the docs are upto. Please folks if you really really care for your family member, please do not get them to this hospital. Please search for better docs and better hospitals.

RWJUH New Brunswick Interferes With Familys Arrangements Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick, NJ routinely prevents family members from having their deceased loved ones removed from the hospital in a timely fashion. They are unreasonable, unprofessional, unfriendly and uncooperative on a regular basis. The medical staff is professional but the administration is NOT at all. Due to their actions against families, those kin are prevented from having their funeral preparations completed as they demand in a time sensitive manner. This is a painfully obvious failure of the department of bed management to release the family’s deceased efficiently and immediately. Communications with medical staff and this department are also inadequate. Kin direct their funeral professionals to retrieve their loved one from Robert Wood Johnson UH and are stopped by the hospital. This is UNACCEPTABLE. The administration says they will only release with a signed document of the 1 PERSON THEY HAVE LISTED in THEIR RECORDS when the patient was ADMITTED. It doesn’t matter to RWJUH if the family is STANDING THERE AT THE BED OF THEIR LOVED ONE; their bureaucratic disrespect is in full force. It doesn’t matter to RWJUH if the family is forced to make multiple trips at additional distance & expense to sign forms. Nothing else matters to RWJUH except red tape. As all healthcare directives cease upon the patient’s death, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick is acting illegally by preventing families post-death arrangements. NO OTHER HOSPITAL in the State of NJ acts so disgracefully. NO OTHER HOSPITAL is as unreasonable to grieving families.

I have been coming to Robert Wood Johnson for several years because of my three disabled children but it seems that every year the quality of the staff members gets worse. Yesterday, I took two of my children to the hospital because they were feeling unwell in regards of their asthma and instead of helping my family all the staff member does is called DCP which is known as Dyfes. The resident doctor felt that it was best for Dyfes to get involved because we came to the ER too frequent. This particular doctor known as Rachael Creigo, told my family that it was not okay for us to come to the hospital for asthmatic problems and that I was being an irresponsible parent even though I was taking my child to the hospital. This residential doctor told my husband and I that my daughter must continue to take her inhaler even if it causes her to get an allergic reaction. On top of this, they never gave my two children two individual beds, they placed both of them in one and still charged our insurance as two separate rooms. When I tried to voice out my opinion to the doctor about us she simply starred at us back and did not do anything to change it. We originally arrived at the hospital at 4:00 pm and ended up leaving at 10:30 pm because they were holding us up until they could finally contact Child Services through out this time they delayed the asthma medication that one of my daughters needed thus, making her condition and lungs more vulnerable. All in all, this lady along with the rest of the staff members were very rude and embarrassed my family by calling child services on us even though we are already doing the best we can as parents.
