I FEEL THEY WOULD HAVE LET ME DIE ON THE WAITING ROOM FLOOR! Came in with what seemed to be heart issues, (tightness, sweating and dizziness), I asked to see a doctor ASAP, I even called ahead. Because I literally could not breath well, I asked and asked for attention. I WAITED AND WAITED. I told them "I want nothing more then to make sure the situation is stable" and that in my 35+ years I had "never felt this before". I am also on heart meds and explained this. When I went into the back "John"(a big nurse who seemed quite intimidating ) got loud with me and took a very threatening tone with both my wife and I. We were really frightened because neither of us knew what to do! After all, THIS IS THE ER! Where do you go from there if you dont get medical attention, quite possibly the morgue? Not an option (obviously). I had not been combative, threatening or disrespectful, no one even said I was. Believe me Im sure that they see all types and that they occasionally must be quite firm. In my case I was just "standing my ground" because I owe it to myself, my wife and loved ones to be here for them and my health is paramount. I was sweating, dizzy, with pressure in my chest and a security guard in a bleached-out gray velour sweatsuit asked me to move from one end of the emergency (waiting) room to the other. I told him "no problem but I absolutely do not feel ok to walk", I asked if he could get a wheelchair or to let me stay where I was (his choice). He then said into my ear so no one could hear (or so he thought) "move or I will call the police"; It was creepy and threatening. I told him I "dont want to crack my head open on your floor so could you please just get a wheelchair"? Strange thing is that,to the best of my knowledge, hospitals usually go through great lengths to prevent falls. Finally he got one and as I slid into the wheelchair I was called into the back and at least the Dr. was professional and competent. I HOPE I NEVER HAVE TO GO BACK, BUT AFTER WRITING THIS; I FEAR RETRIBUTION(IF I DO GO BACK), ESPECIALLY FROM THAT NURSE "JOHN" IN THE ER. I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST HIM PERSONALLY, I DONT EVEN KNOW THE MAN. THOUGH WHEN SOMEONE IS BEGGING FOR HELP AND NOT EVEN RAISING HIS VOICE; INTIMIDATING BEHAVIOR(at least I would think any reasonable man would perceive it as that), IS NOT ONLY NOT CALLED FOR IT IS BIZARRE! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED AND I HAVE A WITNESS AS WELL. I CAN NOT IN GOOD CONSCIENCE JUST SAY NOTHING ABOUT THIS.

I wouldnt even give this place a 1 star its that bad! I used to live down here recently moved back, dont have a primary dr yet. I had a mirena put in 3 months ago. Woke up with pain in my side and my stomach was blown up! And i was very nauseous So i went to urgent care they thought it was a uti. Took urine sample and gave me an antibiotic. Next day they called me and told me to stop taking it my urine came back neg. And i was passing out tired i thought from the meds. (side note i am iron def anemea which cipro makes it worse didnt know that till i researched it the next day) They told me to go to the er to get blood work back asap and a scan to see whats going on inside. Went to aria cause it was close. Waiting room was empty. Got back pretty quick but sat in the room for like 2hrs till a nurse came back and asked for urine. Finally a young dr came back i told him eveything. He said well ur dr can do a blood test and and ob can check ur mirena. So for now ill give you cover up meds... A Pain med and zofran for nausea. I said no i dont want meds for not even knowing whats wrong with me. He says well i can send ur urine over to test it but thats it. And he walks out. 20 mins later and im seeing red! I walk out to the counter and i said to the one nurse can i just leave. She got really nasty and says well ur refusing treatment! I said what treatment?! A urine test i already got the other day? Cover up meds as ur er dr calls it... Without even knowing what is wrong with me! Im good ill go to st marys where the real drs are thanks....

I am really sick ( chronic long term ). I get these horrid stomach attacks that might? be cyclic vomiting syndrome. The pain is crazy intense. Well I just had an episode on the 19th of this mth. Instead of going to Saint Marys I went here because it is closer to my home. I was sweating profusely due to pain and I was incontinent. A doc walked into my room and I was having trouble answering his questions due to the high level of pain I was having. He walked out of my room without telling me he was going to write some orders. Then the nurse came in and asked me if I was drinking alcohol. She said the room smelled like alcohol and as she was walking out she said alcohol again. I called my husband and told him to come pick me up. I was so insulted. I have not had a drink since I turned 32 didnt even have booze at my wedding, but they thought I was drinking. Anyway...... I did stay my white count was high and I was dehydrated. Cat scan showed my stomach was inflamed. They gave me IV fluids and medications IV to stop the attack. I guess they are use to seeing the worst, but to tell a patient they are drunk, because they were incontinent. It happens every time I have an attack.

This hospital is the absolute worse. I cone in with severe abdominal pain and I got into triage right away becausecthe waiting room was empty. Once taken to the back I waited 2 hours for someone to come do a work up- they send a med student! He left and told me he had to talk to his boss. It took another 2 hours for his boss to come in. She checks me over and tries to tell me it is probably just a UTI. Ive had one before and it didnt cause me the pain I was in. They gave me several different pain mess which did nothing so they finally drew blood work. Bloodwork showed a problem with my gallbladder and pancreas. I was finally sent for a catscan. Meanwhile you could not get a nurse or doctor to pay any attention to you because they were too busy talking and eating. Finally after 8 hours in the er(went in at 715pm) I was finally admitted at 4am. Fast forward to today 9/14/16) I barely saw a nurse or doctor. My pages to the nurses station were constantly ignored. You know what they are all out there doing- talking and laughing at the desk! I will never return here after I am discharged.

DO NOT GO THERE! I cant stress that enough. What kind of hospital refuses oxygen to an ER patient having a cardiac episode. That fat phlebotomist kept stabbing and stabbing trying to draw blood. Any idiot would tell you that jamming a needle in deeper doesnt actually make the blood flow into the tubes. Having come in severely dehydrated does make it harder to get a vein, yes, but maybe finding a different vein would have been more humane than pushing it in deeper causing me not only to scream but demand he take it out of my arm. I told him "your done." And as son as I could sign the AMA papers I got the hell out of there and went to a REAL Hospital. Save yourself anguish during your medical crisies and go to a competent Hospital!
