I had the most unprofessional service at this office!!! The doctor is very full of himself; contantly berating his past employer (Dr. Miller who a true professional doctor). He misdiagnosed my animal and when I assked to see the x-ray I was denied, I was also denied a copy of my dogs records!! His staff is terrible! While waiting for my apppointment, they talked very discourtously about clients who were in that day and left. It left me wondering what trash talking would be said after I had left my appointment. I have heard yelling and screaming by the doctor/staff; also treating clients this way - HORRENDOUS CONDUCT!! He went so far as to constantly harass a friend of mine; calling him at home - yelling at him. All because my friend could not stand the drama at Blakeslee and went back to Dr, Miller at Pocono Lake Animal Hospital. I to have switched to Dr. Miller; the staff there is very caring and compassionate (even to the client) Dr. Miller is great! His vast knowledge of all types of animals is facsinating. Mind you not just common house pets but exotic animals, lions , tigers, monkeys, etc. I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHEArE ELSE but Pocono Lake Animal Hospital!

I hate to leave a negative review, but I have to in this case, despite the fact that we were clients. Our cat showed signs of illness the evening of May 5th. I called Pocono Lake Animal Hospital Saturday night and left a message. Despite their claim on their website that their phones are answered 24 hours, no one called me back. I again called the next morning. Again, no return call. Not knowing what else to do and seeing my cat deteriorate, I took him to Barton Heights ER, where I ultimately had to put him down. I cant help but wonder if our beloved pet would still be here had my calls been returned. I tried contacting the office to understand why my calls werent returned. I was told the vet would get back to me. No one got back to me. I sent an email some days later which I was told would be forwarded to Dr Miller; again, no response. I am disappointed in the way this was handled, and am going to take my business elsewhere. I just hope no one else has to go through what I went through with this vets office.

P.L.A.H is wonderful. I took my Cassie Marie there because serhe had a problem with fleas. They treated very well and my dog was very calm and happy when we left. The place was very clean and sanitary. After that I had to take my other dog out of ICU at Creature Comfort and transferred her to P.L.A.H. I got got more results from them in 2 hours then i did in 4 days at Creature Comfort. They showed us the x-rays and went through the blood work with us to understand it. They gave us options for our dog which was a chihuahua named Trixie lynn. She had a lot going on for herself. So we thought it would be best to put her to sleep. I am very pleased with P.L.A.H i have transferred all of my dogs medical records to them from Creature Comforts. I highly recommend this vet for your animals. The nurses and DR. Amy and the rest of the staff are wonderful.

NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH POCONO LAKE. Brought my dog in who wasnt feeling well. They did surgery which WAS the best option for him, which is fine. Sent him home a day after and he died the next day. They should have kept him an additional day to make sure he was ok. Hell I already paid a hefty price for the surgery and medicine. But now I sit here with my dog dead and medication I paid for which will go to waste. Probably wont be returning and will NOT recommend people go here. They didnt even offer me a discount on the surgery or cremation. NOPE.....NOPE......NOPE. Make sure the animals are healthy enough to return to their owners before releasing them from your care. ITS THE RIGHT THING AND ETHICAL THING TO DO.

I bring my 2 dogs to P.L.A.H. and will never go anywhere else. The personal touch my pets receive is most welcome in a day and age of email, computers and cold technology. For example, I always receive a followup call after a sick visit, there is no extra charge for an office visit when my pet is receiving only a shot after a recent visit, the people who work there remember not only my name but my pets names as well. The diagnosis have been accurate with sensitivity to the delivery of the information. I respect the doctors, technicians and desk personnel who do their jobs with kindness and care. Excellent vet. The second you walk in the door, the staff at PLAC treats you and your pet like a patient, not like a dollar sign. Ive taken my dog their on several occasions and have always felt weve received the best of care. The staff has always thoroughly explained their diagnosis, given me advice, and I was always given every choice available for my dogs care. They do not give your pet unnecessary x-rays or bloodwork. They are honest and caring; Ive never had a physician call me to follow up after a procedure, let alone a veterinarian! I cant say enough, these guys are great!

New to the PA area and my pooch was a little under the weather. I telephoned Pocono Lake Animal Hospital at 6am and got an appointment for 9am that day. I dont know about anyone else but thats a plus plus in my book. My overall experience there was great. The office staff was very welcoming, and compassionate. Kudos to Dr. Amy. Ive found my new Veterinarian. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Very pleasant professional knowledgeable skilled Doctors and Staff; moderately priced. (Dr Amy Morris is a very kind knowledgable gentle professional). I was able to get an appointment the same day for annual vaccines. I would highly recommend the Animal Hospital.

I took my English bulldog to Amy Morris and had a wonderful experience. The staff is so friendly and informative and they are affordable. My dog does not get along with other dogs and they were able to accommodate that. This will defiantly be my regular vet.

Nice people...they are very patient with my dog. Hes not the most well behaved, but they give him a chance and help me find ways to improve his behavior. Pricing is decent and the office is super clean.
