I went for a consult with Dr Severs for a laser treatment. In the consult I was told laser would help my facial veins but would not help correct the sun damage. I had Intense Pulsed light treatments in the past and he explained that IPL does address sun damage as well as facial veins. I couldnt find anyone in the area to do IPL so I decided to go forward with the laser. I paid my $75 consult fee and it was explained that will go towards my treatment, but I also had to put down another $50 to make the appt which I did. It was explained that If I had to cancel I would only be refunded the $50 which I thought was fair and paid the woman $125. I ended up finding an IPL provider in Allentown and called to cancel my appt. As it happens the office called my cell this morning at 8:13am to confirm my appt but I was at work so I called them back at 10:45am. I was just told that I was over the 48 hour window where I could cancel and get my $50 back. I am over it by TWO hours as my appt in in two days at 8:40 am. I pleaded and was flatly told they do not make exceptions and I would not be refunded. I asked if there was anything that could be done because its only two hours difference and was still rebuffed. I was told I signed a contract explaining the policy but that was never provided to me. The paperwork I have is Patient instructions and post op instructions no contract. I also explained that I was never told there was a time frame for cancellation and she basically called me a liar saying I must of been told. Id avoid working with these folks as they are not reasonable in any sense of the word if you think you may not be able to make an appointment and will need to cancel. Save your money and see Skin and Spa Aesthetics in Wilkes Barre or Dr Speace in Clarks Summit. Youll be glad you avoided this office.

Called today to tell them my blood work script was never received. Most businesses might say, "Okay, let me send a copy today" or "Let me email a copy to you". Instead the young woman responded: "I mailed it on the 17th". I guess my saying I never received it didnt quite register. Because my insurance changes in 3 days I asked if the script could be faxed directly to Labcorp. The response: "Sure, if you tell me the fax number".....what great support and service.

If you want to be treated as rudely as possible, try to get an appointment at either their Scranton or Kingston offices. This unacceptable behavior is a reflection of the top administrators and doctors. If they knew how badly patients were treated I would hope the doctors would make radical changes. But, then again, making someone wait 6 months for an appointment shows how much they really care about the patient.

Very busy practice that keeps expanding and the staff may need to grow to keep up. The billing department is very efficient but the doctors themselves have cancelled on me several times. Appointments are booked months in advance, which is a major drag if you really need to see someone ASAP. Waiting room and exam room hallways in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint. No parking lot - only street or garage.

I recently moved to the area and needed a new dermatologist. This office came highly recommended by several friends. Several visits with no improvement on a re-occurring condition Ive had successfully treated with other dermatologists. Very disappointing. The staff was super nice and the billing department very efficient. Otherwise this would have only been 1 star.

I made an appointment a few weeks in advance, only to have it cancelled the morning of. After rescheduling later in the week, they cancelled a second time. When trying to reschedule they said I would have to wait a few weeks. I was dissatisfied before I even got to the office. I cancelled, and sought out a new dermatologist office.

ive been having problems with my skin for years and was seen by a couple different dermatologists without much imrpovement. I finally saw one of the physician assistants at this office and think i finally got my skin condition under control. had to wait a while to be seen but otherwise a really great place.

Totally insensitive, cold-blooded practice. Told to return if a cancerous lesion opened up, did so immediately upon occurrence, and then, while present in the waiting room, turned away (even though I was willing to wait all day) because I did not have an appointment. Is there a no-star rating?

Went in for a removal and was offered a biopsy charges were not explained or mentioned. No payment taken at time of visit. Charged by a separate office for biopsy and received a large bill for office visit and "New Patient" Charge almost 2 months after visit and initial payment.

I have had a great experience with Dr. Severs and his staff. I also have friends who have been going to him for many years and have nothing but great things to say about him and the results they have realized after treatments.
