I do think that these people are very very competent in their work. So no arguments there. My cat was a rescued cat from the streets and he had gingivitis. My vet in Pittsburgh had some of his teeth pulled and diagnosed him with stomatitis. Turns out that some tooth fragments were left behind. I came back to school and his problems flared up again. I told them about the surgery and the stomatitis, but they decided to put him on antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds. The problem persisted so they decided to do tests on his blood to see if there was anything wrong (like he had a viral infection and thus wasnt responding to the meds). The test returned negative for everything, so they finally decided to do a surgery to look at his gums - finding the tooth fragment. They did a biopsy and told me it was gingivitis. All of this would have been the right steps to take if I did not already know that he had gum disease beforehand.. Sadly the bills racked up to more than $700 spent and none of it fixed the problem. So I would say yes they know what they are doing, but they are expensive! Good care, but if you are a college student like me, stay away until youre out and pulling in more money.

So disappointed. We have brought our dogs here for years and have been pleased with the service. It seems like the economy is affecting their business. When we dropped our dog off the receptionist spent most of the time at check-in on the phone and did not explain the policies and cost for shots. When I picked up out dog, the bill was WAY higher than I expected so I asked for a detailed report. The receptionist then got back on the phone with me standing there. The person who brought out the dog was quite nice and had the cost breakdown. With the commotion of my dog and the pets waiting for service, there was no time to review the bill. When I got home I questioned the $55 exam fee and was told the it was necessary in order to administer the required shots. But, my husband said the he was told that the form he signed authorized emergency treatment- but the receptionist was on the phone... She clearly cannot multi-task. We have been getting his yearly shots at Petco and they do not give an exam nor do they charge $100 for basic shots.

Service and staff have totally gone downhill. Not worth it to go there anymore. We have been coming here for about a year, as it is the only vet near the city that doesnt have terrible reviews. Having a 12 yr old cat with KD, a frenchie with an eating problem, and a puppy, we visit the vet fairly regularly. It was always annoying at how difficult it was to get a script (for instance if I wanted to get the dental food at petsmart) and the last few times we have been there it has been 45 min + waits WITH an appointment, but the last time I was there was the proverbial straw. We brought the puppy and our dog in for what seems to be kennel cough... 45 min later, Dr. Silverberg flew in, raced around, and then ordered a perscription without even looking at the dogs. Total time with the doc: 6 minutes. We then sat for another 15 minutes and listened to the doctor cut another dogs toenails. I dont know if they are short staffed, but this is not worth it to me. A week later, the puppy is still coughing and gurgling.

Absolutely adore this place and the staff, especially Dr. Silverberg!! Have been coming here for over 10 years. He has treated our mice, guinea pigs, and three dogs. The man is so brilliant he can diagnose the dog over the phone when other vets had the dog for a week and couldnt figure out what was wrong. Started coming to Township Line when our regular vet had us waiting an entire day for a dog that was obviously very ill. Township Line took us right away. Any time I have any sort of emergency from large to small I am giving an appointment that day. I wont take my animals anywhere else.

Been a long long time customer, for my dogs guinea pigs and lizards. Dr Silverberg is a good vet. He gives thorough exams. He answers every question and gives good care and maintenance advice. His never seems to rush and will show you the care procedures so you can look after your pet at home. The vet techs are knowledgeable, caring and capable. They seem at ease with all kinds of nervous animals. We also board are dogs here when we go on vacation. The dogs are always healthy and happy when we get them

Every time we take one of our cats to this vet the bill is almost $200. They are healthy cats and they just go for general check ups but they always say they need vaccines. This place likes to over vaccinate your pets to make an extra buck. Same thing with boarding. We are not coming back to this place I had it. If you can go to another vet save yourself the headache. They like to overcharge their customers.

Dr. Silverman and his long term staff members have taken good care of Russ, our cockapoo, and all our animals (we had bunnies, hedgehogs, and a myriad of other pets while my daughter was in grade school). I really appreciate how great the staff is. They have been with Dr. Silverman for the duration of our relationship, which says a lot. The fees are reasonable and the care is well above par.

This practice has seen our pets (and us) through everything from spaying to infections to injuries and recently, our dogs last visit. They truly were her family too. Our dog would be excited to go to appointments or for boarding. The practice was recently bought but even with some turnover it remains a great, caring place.
