I saw Dr. Straube for my yearly eye exam and found her to be extremely caring and professional. As someone with very bad vision I often dread my eye exams because getting an inaccurate result can mean months of discomfort. Dr. Straube was very patient and worked with me to make sure I left with a prescription I was comfortable with, but that wasnt too strong for my eyes, and assured me I could always come back in if I was having difficulties. She goes out of her way to make the exam as comfortable as possible and answered all of my questions. Due to a recent eye infection, Dr. Straube suggested I switch to daily contacts. She gave me trials for several different brands at different price points so I could try them at home for a few days before buying a years supply. I ended up buying a new pair of frames as well and found both Dr. Straube and the staff to be helpful in making a selection. Blackstone Valley recently moved to a new office and the space is very large and very nice, but be sure to type in the new address to your GPS as mine brought me to the old office when I just searched for the name. Blackstone Valley is a bit of out of the way for me, but Ill continue to see Dr. Straube for my eye care as its been a long time since I felt a doctor respected my concerns and opinions this much and made me feel like a part of my medical team.

I became a patient of BVEC a year before the practice was given over to Dr Kenyon, and I must say the former head optical man couldnt have made a better choice for his successor! Jeff Kenyon is a top rate listener and practitioner and his office is staffed with like minded professionals who are patient with patients. The recommendations he has made for my contacts have been spot on and his diagnosis have always given me comfort, with good explanation and no fluff. His front office has straightened out billing dependencies (the fault of insurance providers) on numerous occasions and gone the extra mile to make sure my headaches disappeared. They even replaced a defective lens from their own stock when I brought a torn contact go their attention, and when I moved overseas and could not get to my annual before leaving the country for work, the good Dr. reviewed my file and was able to approve my yearly online contact purchase. A gesture I will not forget. This is a top flight medical service with a modern approach and modern technology who put the clients first. We sometimes forget that medical offices are businesses vying for our own business, and customer service is not lost on this terrific group I would (and have) recommended them to many friends and will return there when Im stateside once again. I have been going to Blackstone Valley Eye Care for many years. I started with Dr. Sheehan. Once he had retired, I started seeing Dr. Kenyon. He has always spent a generous amount of time with me in the office and answered all of my concerns. He encourages calling with any problems at all. I am a contact lens wearer. Dr. Kenyon always considers my lifestyle and the fit of the lenses. When I order my lenses, they quickly contact me when they come in. I have never had a problem. They also have an extensive array of glasses to choose from, especially since they moved to their new location. My appointments are always on time and the staff is very friendly and professional. There is plenty of parking and it is readily handicap accessible. I would not hesitate recommending Blackstone Valley Eye Care to any of my friends.

I have been a part of this eye care family since I was little and when Dr. Kenyon took over Dr. Sheehan it has been nothing but amazing. Dr. Kenyon welcomed everyone as we welcomed him with open arms. He now is my whole family and friends eye care Dr. Everytime I go in he remembers everything from the year before and more! Him and his staff are beyond amazing. I know that if any problem arises it will be taken care of immediatly. It never feels like I am intruding on their time and schedule for the day. Blackstone valley eye care is that place you wish you visited more then once a year just because it is such a wonderful experience!!! The staff is amazing. They hire the best and I know for a fact they treat their staff amazing due to personal encounters. Lastly it is always clean and smells amazing in there!

Ive been wearing glasses most of my life and contacts for 6 years. I needed to find an "in network" provider with my new insurance. This was an excellent choice. A new state of the art facility with friendly and knowledgeable office staff. I was weary to try a 30 day contact lens, the doc fit me up first shot. She was also able to get a lens that worked for both eyes and didnt cause any irritation. This was a first for me, no longer marking the boxes L and R. The office staff fitted me into a new pair of glasses in no time, minus the time I took trying on 40 pairs to find the frame for me. I even brought in an old pair of sunglasses with damaged lenses, they had them returned and fixed in less than a week!! I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking to try a new eye doctor.

Dr.Kenyon and his staff are extremely professional, kind, and punctual. They clearly focus on patient care through state of art technology, up to date procedures, and dedicated time with the patient. I never felt rushed through the exam just to get a new set of frames like other optometrists. When you are ready for frames they offered a range of classic to very fashionable frames with a quick turnaround on prescriptions. If your current optometrist is just going though the motions or their office is just outdated and uncomfortable, you should consider switching to Blackstone Valley Eye Care. You will be pleased with the spacious office environment and the private exam rooms. You will certainly be pleased with Dr. Kenyon ad his team of doctors and staff.

I recently switched over to Blackstone Valley Eye Care. Initially it was because im very picky about frames and brands I like and they happened to carry Oakley. After my first visit i was convinced that this was going to be my new eye care team. The staff was excellent from the receptionist to the optometrist to the beautiful woman who help me pick out my frames. The enviroment is friendly and the staff is completely attentive to any questions you have. I actually am excited when I get to go pick out new frames now. I hope this review is helpful, if youre having doubts about your current provider I would recommend you at least try Blackstone Valley out if not switch completely, you wont be dissappointed!

Felt super welcomed being a new patient and the staff was always smiling which is great, ive had many experiences at other offices were the receptionists do not look happy and ruin the whole experience for you. There office is really nice and clean, i honestly loved my experience, even tho i had to get glasses i still left happy and good because of the experience. Never felt rushed. And since i have no family out here i always have to go to my appointments alone im glad the nurse there i think thats what there called :p helped me picked out glasses of which looked good on me! Thank you thank you thank you! Glad i choose you guys i dont mind trAveling to get there, see you guys next year ;)
