I would have been happy with my experience until one of the women insinuated that I dont take care of my dog and am mistreating him!!! I have a Chihuahua that I am dearly in love with. He is 9 and Ive had him pretty much since birth. He sleeps in the garage with a bed and tons of blankets then goes in and out of the garage and yard as he pleases during the day. When the vet asked me is he an indoor dog and I said no and explained where he stays, the woman said "yeah no wonder hes cold" (because he was shaking at the time). I am 21 yrs old I think I know how to take care of my dog and have had him for 9 yrs and hes always been perfectly fine. I make sure he stays very warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I had to take him out in the WINTER to go to the vet and hes probably a little scared because hes at the vet dont ya think?! Him being cold at the vet has nothing to do with his temperature at home DUH!! Then when she heard I fed him (have since changed) a dog food that she didnt think was the best because I DID NOT KNOW what brand was the best, she gave him some food and said "aww poor thing Ill feed you". I feed my baby whole boneless chicken breasts regularly thank you very much, he is very pampered. There are so many vets and animal hospitals around here we can easily go some where else so if they want to continue to have business I suggest they keep their comments to themselves. I will gladly be going back to my vet (Richland Creek) next time, the only reason I went is because my vet was closed. My vet even has pet med mobile on the side of the road so you can just easily stop somewhere close to you and get your pets shots how much better could it get! My vet always makes me feel welcome and comfortable when I go to the clinic and they are way cheaper than the rest too!

Had been using this office for my 4 dogs since I moved up here almost 4 years ago. Yesterday morning we woke up, and our senior dog, who had been having trouble a while now, wasnt going to make it to next week when we had originally planned to let her go. We called the office around 11, as soon as we realized we had to. We were told that they had no records of her ever being there (which is funny, as Im holding her immunization records and they tell a different story), and that they wouldnt be able to put her down because they close at 12. So sorry to inconvenience you, come in at 11:15, and maybe make you stay maybe 20 extra minutes, but my dog was suffering and couldnt wait until Monday. Luckily we were able to find another vet (that also closed at 12) that was willing to help. What infuriates me is, its not like we were requesting a check up, immunizations, anything that was non-emergency that could wait. It was something completely unexpected, something very difficult for any pet owner, and to have such a lack of compassion while in the veterinary industry sickens me. Our 3 remaining dogs will find somewhere else to be treated in the future. (Also, just thought Id add, I work in a restaurant. More often than not, we have people come in 5-15 minutes before close and still have to serve them, sometimes staying up to an hour after. AND NOBODY IS DYING.)

Dr. McElveen and Dr. Saunders and the entire staff are wonderful. Having 6 rescue dogs, I have tried quite a few vets in the area and have had less than stellar experiences. My littlest dog got her eye knocked out of its socket and the vet closest to my house that I went to told me to wait in the waiting room. I rushed across town to Dr. McElveen and they hurried my little one to the back and were able to save her eye and they didnt gouge me on the bill. When we came back for a follow up, they didnt charge me a dime. I love Dr. McElveen and his staff and would NEVER take my animals to any other vet. If you are new to Greenville or tired of being treated like your vet has never seen you before. Make the change, you will be glad you did....

Everyone who works at this vets office has very big hearts! Yesterday I rescued 5 kittens off the road and brought them to the vets today to get a check-up before I find homes for them. They were all very kind to me and my kittens, and after the vet did the checkup and de-wormed them, he said that it would all be free of charge. They also have many many pets that they have adopted as office pets that live in the office with them!

Excellent experience! My dog had really bad diarrhea for the past couple days...called Saturday morning 2 hours before they closed and they worked my dog in without question. The staff was very friendly and the vet we visited took time to explain everything that was going on. The price for the visit and medicine was fair and affordable.

The waiting room is a little on the small side, but they have a nice outdoor area to walk your dog/pet if you prefer. A cat roams around the office, but my dog didnt seem bothered by it despite not normally being around cats. Dr. McElveen and his staff was very thorough in addressing our questions and needs.

The 3 stars was by accident. The witch working the front desk reminded me of an old bitter spinster who never was loved. She was hateful and disgusting not to mention extremely rude. I went to this dump 2 times, my 1st and last.

Best veterinary office I have ever been too. Its clear that the staff is there because they love animals and care deeply for all of their patients. Groomer always does a great job with my Golden Retriever as well.
