Do not go here. They seriously killed my cat. Granted she had a lot wrong with her, including diabetes and IBD, but that is exactly why when they put her under anesthesia for two different procedures they should have taken all basic precautions, including giving her IV fluids! I have never been to a vet that doesnt give IV fluids during surgery, and especially not when a cat has health issues. She had a dental cleaning, without IV, and never was the same afterwards. She had problems controlling her bladder and I ended up spending thousands of dollars taking her to Blue Pearl, etc. getting an ultrasound done and seeing a specialist to find out what was going on. And then on Christmas she got really sick and had severe constipation, for which she had anesthesia again for an enema. She never ate again afterwards, could barely walk, her third eyelid was covering her eyes from the time she woke up, she was desperately thirsty, and when I called the vet (Dr. Welsh) at Connechusett the next day and told her, she said it was fine and would just take a couple days for her to feel all better. I ended up taking her to her to the emergency vet the next day and was told she had liver failure, extremely low potassium, and and severe anemia - two things she did not have a month earlier before her dental. And to make things worse I had specifically asked the vet at Connechusett to do bloodwork before doing the enema because I was concerned about how my cats health had been since the dental, and she decided not to without consulting me! If she had, she probably still would have disregarded everything and done the procedure without IV fluids because as I said, my cat had diabetes and a diabetic cat should never be put under without IV fluids! Blue Pearl said she was severely dehydrated despite me giving her sub-q fluids every day at home. I took her back in to Connechusett, and saw someone else, Dr. Jukoff?, and he was incredibly uncaring and made a comment like, sounds like shes trying to die on you. I was sent home again to watch my cat slowly die over the next 24 hours because they led me to believe there was nothing more that could be done, even though they couldnt tell me why any of it was happening. Ive never experienced such incompetence and its taken me almost a year to write this review because the experience was so bad that its still really hard to even think about enough to write this. Which is why it is probably a bit incoherent... The only thing good about this vet is their prices are lower than other places, and I will always regret letting that affect my decision to go here instead of taking her somewhere else. Bottom line - they were extremely negligent and my cat is dead. And despite knowing my cat had died following the procedure at Connechusett, neither Dr. Welsh or anyone else from there ever contacted me about it.

I wish I could leave something less than 1 star. I just moved to Temple Terrace. The 1st vet I went to was the Tampa Animal Hospital on Busch and wasnt happy with them bc I felt they were all about the money opposed to what was best for my dog. A friend recommended this vet. My apt was for 11am. They told me to be there early to fill out paperwork. Upon walking in I notice a ton of employees behind the desk. Not one of which was welcoming. I signed in, filled out the 1 form (which took all of 2 minutes.. if that) within minutes the lobby is full... all signing in after me. We sit for a good 30 minutes. Multiple customers were called back. I got up and asked the receptionist where I stood in line, he shrugged me off and didnt answer my question. Meanwhile, I looked at the sign in sheet to see if any of the ppl waiting had an appointment before me. None of them did. Finally, after asking another receptionist where I was in line. She said there was 1 person ahead of me. I sit back down, the person ahead of me gets called back. Im now thankful were next. Keep in mind Im 9 months pregnant with a large lab. A vet tech comes out, Im expecting her to call our name. But instead calls another customer. Its now 49 minutes past my appointment and a good 6 ppl havr gone ahead of me. All that is left in the waiting room is myself and another woman. Once again, I go to the receptionist to see what the hold up was. She proceeds to tell me the reason all these ppl have gone before me is because they have a different doctor. But, to not worry bc they were putting me into a exam room next. So, I sit back down. Im overly irritated at this point and trying to maintain composure. The vet tech comes out and calls the other woman. I walked up to the counter and said Id be leaving, the receptionist quickly responds asking of Id like to reschedule (now mind you this is the FIRST time she answered me in a timely fashion) I told her no. I would be finding another vet. Not only did it take forever, they lacked any type of customers service, not one time did I see one of the MULTIPLE employees show any type of emotion towards the animals or their owners, not once did they apologize for how long the wait was. What made absolutely no sense to me was why they didnt take appointments by time. Instead it was by doctor. I would think otherwise. With that being said the way they run their business is completely unprofessional. The craziest part is I was only there to get flea, tick and heartworm medication for my dog. I will gladly bring my money elsewhere. My dog is like a child of mine and I will find a vet and its staff that will treat him the way he deserves. I am so disgusted with this place of business. Dont even waste your time!

Had a horrible experience more than once. The staff out front seems excellent but the vet is not knowledgeable or committed to her profession. They caused my dog a lot of unnecessary pain and cost me a lot of wasted time and money!! I came in first for an emergency toenail injury and they got me in quickly but returned him back to the room with another dogs feces on his hip (an obviously very sick dog). I overlooked this thinking everyone makes mistakes and since the staff at the front desk had been so friendly I decided to make an official appointment to return for a check up. I was concerned about infected anal glands and a small growth below my dogs anus that I was told could be resolved with simple antibiotics. I returned about two weeks later after the round of antibiotics for an appointment to put my dog under anesthesia to have two teeth pulled. I told the vet that the antibiotics had not seemed to work and that his glands had actually gotten worse. I voiced my opinion that while my dog was under I would like them to address the growth again to find a solution. When I picked him up I felt he was over medicated (he was like a zombie the rest of the afternoon) and I was told that he just needed more antibiotics for the growth/gland problem. I finished the second round of antibiotics but was worse and began to become irritated due to the increasing infection. I decided to get some second opinions from different vet offices. The first vet said immediately that the growth was definitely a tumor just by looking at it and that it could not be cured with meds. She quoted me for the surgery and advised to have it done asap. The second vet advised the same and said the tumor will continue to grow and cause issues. Both vets also told me that the antibiotics that were prescribed to me were not the correct meds for anal infection so they were all for nothing. I scheduled surgery with a much more reputable vet and was much more pleased with the lighter amount of sedation as he was returned to me awake and aware instead of like a zombie. Please pay attention to the care of your pet! I would not trust this vet for any care for my pet after all of the mistakes and misdiagnosis!
