They do not deserve even 1 star. I will NEVER refer anyone to them. I went to get my free cleaning covered by my insurance. My appt was 4. I got there at 3:45, at 4:15 I told them my appt was 4:00. They took me back at 4:20. They took me to a room and did more xrays than I have ever had in my entire life. I said is my insurance going to pay for all of this and she said the first xrays are free. (Free, sure) Anyway, then she took me to another room and a girl came in and went over all my medical records-I had to fill out 4 pages and took my blood pressure. By then it was 5:00 and still no cleaning. Then the dental hygenist came in and looked in my mouth and turned off the light and I said arents you going to do my cleaning? She said not today, we just do xrays and look at you and give you our treatment plans. I said I dont want any treatment plans, I want my cleaning the ins. pays for. Then the dr. comes in and looks in my mouth and says now I will take you to the office manager to discuss your options. I said what options, I have no problems at all, he even said my teeth looked great, I just want my cleaning. So into the office manager we go and she tells me they will not do the cleanings that the insurance pays for. I need periodontal cleanings. I said I take care of that myself. I go to a periodontist every year and he keeps watch on my gums. I have done this for 15 years and last year I had the surgery on 2 teeth that had the pockets so I have no problems. She said well we will not do those cleanings for you. You must have the periodontal cleanings that cost twice as much. She said it is the law that we feel you need the periodontal and we cant do the other. I said whos law, she says the Dental Assoc. I said you get the book down and show me that law because it is a lie. She said well you want me to commit ins fraud by giving you the periodontal cleanings and billing for regular. I said I didnt ask you any such thing. I worked in insurance for 35 years. I want you to give me the cleaning that my insurance pays for and I better not hear insurance fraud come out of your mouth again because I resent you saying that to me. This went on till I stormed out at 6:00. I was shaking like a leaf. I could not believe all that BS to get a cleaning. So 2 hours and got nothing done. They are rip offs and in it for the money only. I wish I had read the reviews before I went here.

Second Visit: I had a root canal done. My dentist was very professional with a good "bedside-manner". Everything went relatively smooth on this visit. I would say that 80% of the visit went smoothly. The other 20% included the attending assistant not being able to find a few items while I sat there with my mouth wired open. Then the dentist leaving me hanging while he tended to another patient. I get the dentist having to help out someone else, after all I might be that person next time. The part that bothers me is the assistant holding things up for five minutes while she and the dentist went looking for the item. Bottom line: I feel much better about this Aspen Dental location than I did on my previous visit. First Visit: I went for my first visit for a checkup and plan of action. The staff was very pleasant, as was the doctor. During the checkup, they, of course, probed my teeth and gums in a addition to taking x-rays. That is where my positivity toward this dental practice ends. A day after my visit, a large chunk of filling fell out of a molar (this cavity filling had lost a small piece a year or so ago). I, of course, called the office to try to get in quickly for a repair believing that the probing had dislodged the filling (I wasnt upset about the filling falling out because I knew a repair would have had to be done, and had scheduled the repair thirteen days out). My gripe, and believe me, I am not happy, is that the receptionist I talked to, would not transfer me either to a nurse or to the doctor, so I could explain my condition. She was nice enough (sarcasm), to move up my schedule to five days from my call for a filling. Now, I need to worry about a tooth shattering over the weekend (its Thursday, the new appointment is on Tuesday). Isnt it nice that my dental care during what I would consider an emergency is in the hands of an Aspen Dental receptionist? I will be getting the filling on Tuesday, because it would be impossible to schedule a filling from a new provider. Now, all I have to do is PRAY, the tooth doesnt shatter in the next five days. To Aspen Dental, rename yourselves Receptionist Dental. Obviously, she is the ONLY ONE qualified to decide my dental fate!

I had an extraction done on 2/19 by Jerrell Mills, DMD; I would call him a doctor, but usually doctors actually care about their patients wellbeing. In my opinion, they should fire this idiot! While removing my molar, he was watching and commenting on the "price is right" on the small TV they provide for your amusement. When done, he did not offer me any pain medication, I had to request it through the receptionist. The following Sunday I called the emergency service due to extreme pain and swelling in my lower jaw; I Left 2 messages and NO ONE called me back. the following Monday I called in the morning to be seen by the doctor; the receptionist told me that they were booked for the day; I told her that it was an emergency and that I would be forced to go to the ER. She then told me that I would be seen but that I would have to wait. When finally seen by this retarded dentist, he actually treated the problem as dry socket and sealed an infection into the abstract sight. He told me that it should feel better; I told him I didnt feel anything different and then I asked for an antibiotic; at which time he told me I didnt need it. He wouldnt prescribe me anything for pain either; extremely inhumane, if you ask me! Later that evening I was forced to call the Aspen emergency phone line again and Dr. Latham called me back, he asked me if I had finished all of my antibiotics, at which time I told him, that dumbass you call a dentist, never gave me any nor did he give me anything for pain. I was in severe pain for days, missed days at work and I am now terrified to sit in a dentist chair again. I have had an extraction before, elsewhere and the dentist called me to check on me, gave me ample medication for pain. DO NOT LET THIS DENTIST TOUCH YOUR MOUTH!!!! The best part is that Helen - had the nerve to tell me that my situation was not an emergency- lets rip her tooth out and seal an infection in her jaw and see how she feels about it.
