This place sucks!!! I go there and pay for my visit before hand (which was expected and okay) then I pay for an xray (which I was happy they were able to do) then I explain my chest pains. Well since they didnt see anything in the xray it seemed they automatically assumed I was lying (God forbid there be muscle or tissue damage, etc) so as Im waiting for the doc to get to my room to check my chest and ask me questions I hear him with a patient before me. I heard the very last thing the doc told them was "get some aleve and wait a week" next the doc gets to me in my room. I explain the chest pains Ive been experiencing and sure enough since he didnt see anything in the xray he says its probably just a simple bruise and to take some aleve and wait a week. I thought it was weird he recommended the same over the counter drug so quickly. But I listened, got aleve and waited a week. The pain got worse daily. I went to the ER and explained what I had been through and my pain(s). The doc at the ER even said "so they took your money, didnt prescribe you anything and sent you on your way? Doesnt surprise me" thankfully he prescribed me low mg pain meds so I could continue to go to work and not be in pain all day while my chest heals. After those meds ran out, Im back at square one (unless I want to pay another hefty hospital bill) so I call this place back and they told me they would consult with the doctor then call me back. Thankfully I called them when they first opened cause it took them almost SIX HOURS to return my call. When they did, they proceeded to tell me they would prescribe me some drug I looked up and find out its just arthritic medicine that has a side effect of CHEST PAINS! To make the whole experience worse, while I was there I had seen signs all over the walls saying "get your prescription filled here!" So when they told me the name of whatever drug they were trying to prescribe me I asked can I get that filled there?" When they then tell me theyre no longer able to fill subscriptions due to some sketchy sounding reason(s). It was a totally bad vibe after that, they seem to take money with no problem, but after that.. good luck. This place is horrible.

Its funny. I see all these negative reviews about wait time. I dont see any negative reviews about the lives they have saved. It isnt Burger King, it is an urgent care that is treated like an emergency room in some cases. People also come to have their medications refilled because they cant get an appointment with their own doctor for a month. They also perform healthcare and drug screens for local businesses! It is the only doctors care in Myrtle Beach with one doctor on staff, how do you expect to get in and out in in less than an hour? I say a few hours of a wait is better than a few weeks to see your own doctor! They implemented the online sign in so that you can wait at HOME until you are texted, but some people come in before they get texted that its their turn and then get angry about the long wait so they come in here and write the most awful comments. If you truly believe these comments, then dont come. Go to the ER and wait the same length of time just to get brushed off. Also it is a fact that they dont like to perscribe narcotic pain mess, as one person described, unless you have experienced a trauma. This is because over prescription of codeine is the leading cause of heroin addiction in the U.S., which is a MAJOR problem in Myrtle Beach, so please excuse them for not contributing to that. The staff is excellent, they are usually there until 10:30 pm, because they turn nobody away. If you need to go there, you will be thoroughly pleased, but do yourself a favor: use the online sign in when u can, and WAIT until u get a text to come in.

I have used them several times in the past with good results. Not anymore. Was there by 9:15 am on a Saturday, waiting room was empty. Computer said 20 minute wait, receptionist said no they can take you right in. Note in extreme pain and discomfort. At 10:00 am I am shown to a room. After about another 15 minutes I am seen. I have been here before years ago for this but I was purged out of their system (even though here last January for respiratory issue). She discussed situation and prescribed meds. Go to Walgreens and there is nothing for the pain. (This issue I was having has been known to put people in hospital). Called Doctors Care back to question this....told to take extra strength Tylenol! Person very short with me. Called them back next morning told them not working, she finally gives me a pain med. And is very rude and indignant in the process. Do you think I am in pain when I told you the muscle spasms were causing me to grit my teeth so hard I was afraid I would break them? Its difficult enough to go and pay with no insurance - worse to be treated like I was an inconvience. No more.

My family has been to each quack at Doctors Care on 21st Ave N. in Myrtle Beach due to insane itching. Went there the first time with two kids and was treated rudely and was told there was nothing wrong. Went back a month ago (all 3 of us) with the same symptoms even worse and saw a second quack doctor. Again they acted like I was crazy. Fast forward another month same scenario but with another quack head! Came to visit family and discovered I have SCABIES!!! This was a concern during each of my visits and asked each time if this could be a SCABIES!!! NO! Its not SCABIES! The super size female quack who was so rude assured us it wasnt scabies! She had worked with the homeless and assured me she was qualified to determine if it was SCABIES! No skin scrape. What this place has put me and my family through because of their inability to practice medicine has been HORRIBLE!!!!!!

I was a walk in at 9:15 am and had bronchitis. I was coughing and visibly sick. The receptionist was very busy and was very rude. I had to ask after waiting for 30 minutes if there was any new patient paperwork I should be filling out while I wait and she quickly replied with "Oh yes I completely forgot". I then waited 4 hours to be seen with 3 people ahead of me I found this to be absolutely ridiculous and got up to leave and asked for my co pay back and I got up after waiting 3 hours in the lobby and 1 hour in the exam room and asked the receptionist for my co pay back, the doctor came running from the back saying she was just about to go in my exam room so I walked back into the exam room. I was examined for a whole 4 1/2 minutes before she determined I had bronchitis and wrote me a script for azythromicin and was on my way. VERY VERY VERY BAD SERVICE. WILL NEVER GO BACK.
