Ive had four experiences here now as new dog owner and Im simply unimpressed. Ive tried and tried to like this place but I just cant when comparing it to the great experiences Ive encountered at other establishments. It seems like there is a lack of sensitivity to the simple answers and diagnosis; let me explain: My girlfriend took her Golden in because she had a large rash and hair loss that had been in existence for about a month. One of the vets, in a matter of minutes, declared it a hormone problem and insisted we run blood work to see if it was hormone related. He seemed confident and we were at a loss, so we went for it. A few hundred bucks later; we learned it was not hormone related and there was "really nothing we could do." She and I went home that day, changed her food, and introduced fish oil into her diet, within two weeks her rash was receding and her hair was growing back. To top off a handful of sub par experiences, theres no arguing that WCAH is overpriced. I get it, its Williamson county and theres no shortage of folks willing to pay top dollar for their four legged friends. That would be fine if the level of service correlated with price but Ive never left feeling that my dogs needs were assessed accurately or that I paid for only what was necessary, it seems theres always an add on, an extra $25 here or there. Ive had such better experiences with communication, treatment, and cost elsewhere that I will not be returning and would recommend those considering Williamson County Animal Hospital explore alternatives.

We have been taking our dogs to WCAH for 13 years. The minute we walked into the lobby it was an instant friendship with the staff and Doctors. We had moved from Dallas and had to start all over which was difficult. We have had nothing but top rated care for our dogs. We have had the pleasure of each Dr. attending to our pets, but Dr. Lee has been a true friend and has provided outstanding care and communication. Our dogs are 10 1/2 and 11 now. Obviously, they are needing alot of medical care. Maverick has a heart issue and Dr. Lee always informs us of what we are to look for and always has our dogs in his best interest. Trixie hurt her neck a couple of months ago and Dr. Lee said he did not feel comfortable sending her home in so much pain. Kept her over night and he and the techs watched her. She came home a new dog! The staff, front office and Techs are like family. Every animal is loved as if they were their own. I cannot sing enough praises about the level of care they give and friendship. They honestly have become family. Thank you Dr. Lee and Dr. Reynolds especially and the whole office staff! Mary, Janet, Kim, Karen, Stephanie, Techs Tami, Tara, Amanda and Katie. You are all such a blessing to our animals in making them feel special and loved.

First time visit to Williamson Co Animal Hospital, while in TN (Franklin area) for business. Vet -Dr Rader was very polite, patient and informative. Went above and beyond explaining some paperwork from another vets office. Didnt expect that, but much appreciated. Spent a lot of time with me and the pup, explaining all options for treatment now and in the future. This is a no appt./walk in office which Ive never experienced before. I lucked out with little to no wait time. I was surprised they didnt request paperwork reflecting pets vaccine or other history prior to exam, though, specifically rabies. Typically you cant even get your dogs nails trimmed anywhere without records. I brought my most current records anyway, and then shared with the doctor. The complex is large and so are the lobby and waiting areas. Very clean and comfortable. I wouldnt describe the front desk staff as personable (at least not with me), but those person(s) who checked me in and out for payment were both cordial and professional. I would recommend this office (and Dr. Rader) to all locals or any others passing thru, requiring medical assistance/treatment for their pet.

I just moved back to middle Tennessee. About 10 years ago, my dogs went here, and they did okay, now is a different story. I took my Great Dane here to get spayed a couples months ago. A couple weeks after her getting fixed I noticed she had lumps around her scar. I took her back to the vet. They told me it was "nothing" (just some serum). A couple days after that I noticed she developed a lump on her back about the same size as her stomach. Again, I went back to the vet. The doctor again told me it was "nothing." Well, the very text morning (a mere 14 hours later) when I woke up, I noticed my dogs scar and stomach were both blue and the lump on her back had grown. I got sick of being told it was nothing, so I immediately took her to Cool Springs Animal Hospital. Lilly had a severe reaction to her sutures. The lumps that they told me were "nothing" were completely filled with bacteria (that Williamson County Animal Hospital had somehow [no idea how] completely missed). She also had a high fever. Her scar was also infected. She had to be on three types of medication. I will never let an animal of mine go back here.

Williamson County Animal Hospital is the only place I will take my 2 dogs. Ive taken my pets there for many years. Dr. Lee Stockstill is wonderful! I have 2 shih tzus. One is 5 yrs old, and one is almost 14. The staff and doctors have always provided excellent care to my dogs. Clean facility. Prompt service. Extremely friendly staff. My older dog has a history of heart disease. Dr. Stockstill has guided me so well through her well care over the years, surgery for bladder stones, and especially her recent diagnosis of congestive heart failure. Being a nurse myself, Dr. Stockstill took the time to answer all of my questions regarding what the course of CHF would look like for my dog. He talked me through the medicines and side effects, was honest, and gave me reassurance that he would help me make future treatment decisions to keep my dog comfortable. Thank you Williamson County Animal Hospital and Dr. Stockstill for taking the extra time and effort to provide exceptional care to me and my dogs.

I can not express how appreciative I am to the entire staff at WCAH, and especially to Dr. Louise Barrett. When my lab/husky mix, Artemis, developed a serious mystery illness, Dr. Barrett took her on as a personal crusade to figure out what was wrong with her by any means necessary. She consulted with every other vet within the hospital and with a specialist as well, and without a doubt saved my dogs life. Beyond that, she was so incredibly kind and made herself so accessible throughout an awful weekend when I had to go out of town and leave Artemis in her care. She made sure I had multiple updates each day that Artemis was in the hospital so I would know exactly what was going on, and continues to stay in regular touch as she recovers at home. I have taken all my pets -- dogs and cats -- to WCAH for the last 11 years and have never been anything but totally satisfied with the quality of the service and the concern of the staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
