Took my 4 year old daughter here on October 30th after she had a severe head trauma (fell off of a 6-ft retainer wall and hit her face 3 times on the way down to land on rocks. She was unresponsive and couldnt talk and you could CLEARLY see by looking at her poor face that she needed immediate attention. The ER staff WOULDNT EVEN LET MY HUSBAND CHECK HER IN!!! Then once I arrived, I was holding my child looking for someone to help with complete desperation. The nurse who was taking vitals (in so may words) basically told me to shut-up and sit down. What is she had a brain bleed? Fractured skull? There were NO other children in the ER, and every single patient in there was mad for us. I ended up HAVING TO LEAVE and took her to Skyline where she was back with the trauma team in less than 5 minutes and had a CT scan in within our first 20 minutes of arriving. If your staff cant leave their crap at the door if/when theyre having a bad day...then they SHOULD NOT be in the medical industry! I have more than one TERRIBLE experience with Hendersonvilles ER...but after this last one I will NEVER return. Completely uncalled for and absolutely ridiculous to treat concerned and (internally) panicked parents in such a rude manner. What if it had been HER child??? Please do something about the way people are treated there by the staff AND quite a few of the doctors! Sometimes it may be the difference between life and death...and I shutter to think what wouldve happened to my youngest child had we stayed and waited for someone to assess her state and attend to her wounds! Get it together Hendersonville ER!

I visited the ER 7/22/2017 due to car accident I was involved in. When we arrived, I checked in a let them know why I was needing medical attention. We were in a room in minutes. I explained to the medical staff my injuries and pain due to the car accident and the doctor took note of my complaints and ordered the necessary tests he saw fit fairly quickly, the only complaint I could possibly have was the overall wait time; but keep in mind it is an ER. After all my results were back then Dr.Harrison (very nice man) came in and gave the prognosis and his advice for treatment. So I was given 2 injections with 3 prescriptions and sent home. By the time I got home we realized I was have an allergic reaction to the medicine. So my fiance called the ER and we were told to come back. As soon as we got there they sprang into action to take of me. The staff was very professional and caring. Like I said earlier, my only complaint was being at the hospital for a total of 7 hours. Otherwise I will recommend this facility to my family and friends. I would also like to recognize the nurses and other medical staff whom took care of me as well; Jerry, Anna, Selina, and Wyatt. Thank you.

Horrible experience every time I visit this hospital I always leave with zero answers and a huge bill! Wait times are terrible and staff doesnt seem to care all seem to be annoyed! Was referred by my Obgyn to be checked out because of back pain and pain in my right side Im over 20 weeks but wasnt allowed to go to labor and delivery was put in an er room and told an OBgyn nurse would assist me. No vitals taken. When nurse came in sent my urine off but did not hook me up to monitor just used Doppler. I asked for water never received it just sat in room paged er nurse asked for water she never brought it. When nurse finally returned was given no answers just told I may have a uti and I was dehydrated but she didnt give me fluids. Ask about increased discharge and burning upon urination could be infection she said they dont do pelvic exams and that if something was wrong at 20 weeks they would not try to help me cause they cant do anything so instead or reasuring me everything was stable she proceeded to scare me. So I probably just got charged tons of money to check my urine and use a droppler and scare me to were I was crying and left Unassured and worried

This hospital is amazing. I miss it so much. I no longer live in TN since I moved to NC, but man after taking my daughter to their ER last night and them making us wait almost 3 hours I have to give Hendersonville a 5 star review. Everyone complaining or giving it a bad review are being way too picky. Go to NC hospital and youll appreciate this one more. At Hendersonville they check you in immediately and take all your info and are courteous and respectful. The nurses have no problem sanitizing their hands before touching your child when you ask either. The nurse at NC seemed irritated when I asked her and told me she already did and does so "500 times a day" Like it was some hassle for her to do it in front of me. I just didnt get a good vibe from the place at all. They also had office looking booths as the rooms! Hendersonville at least gives you a nice clean room with privacy. I really miss this hospital. I also gave birth here and everyone treated me great. Id recommend it here to anybody.

I regret some have rated the Hendersonville Medical Center poorly. We moved here from Massachusetts 4 years ago to take care of my aging parents. My Mother was in HMC often and the care of the staff was exceptional. They were professionals and intervened appropriately. Then 3 weeks ago for the first time in my life I was admitted into the hospital and since HMC was the closest that was the hospital that I was admitted to. I found the staff to be professional and exceptional. I appreciate the excellence that they strive for from the Dietary staff to the medical professionals. There are always a few who dont participate with that vision, but my time on the third floor and also CCU and second floor was exceptional. They are in the middle of a big construction project so it is a bit noisy but that is only because they are improving the facility. The staff is very busy but I appreciate that they are caring for a lot of patients. I have absolutely no complaints about my experience.
