Its all about the money! And here is why. For the last few weeks my wife and I have been feeding a stray cat directly across the street from the Cherry Point Clinic. Our plan was to catch the cat and take it to their clinic for exam, shots, etc. (this is the vet we use for our existing cats). While attempting to catch the stray we noticed he had tapeworms, and called Cherry Point requesting the dewormer Drontal (not a prescription med). We thought we could at least place the med in his food until we could catch the cat. After explaining the situation and our plans, we were told we would have to bring the cat in. Again we explained the situation via an email with the same results... we have to see the cat. Consequently, we ordered the Drontal from 1800PetMeds without a prescription as non was needed and successfully treated the cat. We have since caught the stray and taken him to another vet. After this incidence we decided to move our existing cats to another clinic. There we discovered the medication our cat was currently taking, which was being ordered by Cherry Point, could be obtained from the exact same company for $50 a month less! Cherry Point also said we could not order more than a 2 month supply which the company says is incorrect. There are several problems Cherry Point needed to address. Why the stray needed to be seen before they would sell a non prescription dewormer. Why they incorrectly stated that feline Drontal was prescription med (it is not). Why we were told we could not order more than a 2 month supply of our cats med. Why we were charged an outrageous fee when we did order the medication. And finally, no one at Cherry Point inquired if there was a problem when we moved our existing cats records to another clinic. There are numerous good choices for vet offices in the region unfortunately Cherry Point cannot be included in this list.

We began taking our English Bulldog, Roxy, to Dr. Cherry when she tore her ACL playing in the snow earlier this year. We searched around for the best vet to do her surgery and we felt very confident after taking her to get an evaluation done at Cherry Point. They went on to do her surgery in February of 2014 and Roxy has healed and is doing great! They are very thorough at Cherry Point and know what they are doing. They always greet you with a smile when you enter and make you feel right at home throughout your visit. We like that they treat Roxy as if she were their own. We have tried a few different vets and we are happy to finally have a permanent veterinary home for our girl, where we feel 100% taken care of. We especially appreciate the time that they spend with us during Roxys appointments so that we are able to get all of our questions and concerns answered, and not be rushed through the appointment. I would recommend Cherry Point to anyone in the area. They are a forever home for your furbaby children!

I have always had pets. Not just furry creatures in my house, but true, adopted members of my family. It is simply amazing to me that everyone at Cherry Point cares about them just as much. Not only are they the most compassionate caretakers for all of my fur babies, they care about me too! When I had to take my Goldendoodle Sophie in to be spayed, they were very in tune to my "neurotic" fears. They didnt treat me as though I were being silly, they understood and had compassion for me as well. I received multiple text messages and even a picture after she woke up to assure me she was ok! Who does this?? When our beloved Tom was nearing the end, Dr. Erin Brown stayed with us and treated him with kindness and respect even after he was gone. Their gentle touch and calming presence was exactly what we needed. They are extremely knowledgeable and very dedicated. I will never take my fur loves to anyone else. They have won our hearts!

I boarded my dog for the first time with Cherry Point during Christmas for 3 nights. I normally use another vet who also boards, but my dog always returns from boarding smelling like a wet dog and with fur feeling dirty. My dog loves going there though and I have a high opinion of them. When I brought my dog home after 3 nights at Cherry Point, he not only felt clean but smelled good! I was amazed and wonder if they bathed him. The cost was also slightly lower than where I normally board him. My interactions with the folks at Cherry Point were limited but very positive. I plan on switching my vet and boarding service needs to Cherry Point. My dog was a rescue and had a very rough life his first two years. Im committed to making sure he has nothing but the best of everything for the remainder of his life. I believe Cherry Point will help make that happen.

We have been taking our 2 cats to Cherry Point Animal Hospital since we moved here in October of 2009. They were highly recommended to us by several people and since they are near to where we live, we thought that we would give them a try. Animal care is extremely important to us because our pets are our family. We have never been disappointed in the care that they have received. All doctors and staff have been extremely helpful and friendly to us. They treat our animals with love. You dont have to wait long to get an appointment and you dont have to sit in the waiting room for any length of time. All doctors that have worked on our animals have been great! And believe me, one of our cats is not an easy patient to deal with!! We will continue to take our cats to them and will also recommend Cherry Point to our friends.

Cherry Point Animal Hospital, since the opening, has been a wonderful hospital for all of our fur-babes past and present. They have had the best care that has included their annual physicals, dental treatment, sicknesses and cancer treatment for our beloved female Boston. Dr. Andy Cherry and staff are so knowledgeable about every aspect of animal care that we have always felt confident our fur-babes would be well cared for. There is an excellent animal boarding facility connected to the hospital that our fur-babes stay at when we are away and if one of them needs medical care, they will receive it while we are gone. Customer service is top-rated with all of the employees. We are so glad to be a part of the Cherry Point family and cannot speak highly enough about the facility, owner and employees. We had just moved to Kingsport, Tn in November 2014 and needed a vet for our 4 legged child Merry. We were told of Chrry Point Animal Hospital from a friend and decided to try them. We were greeted and treated very nicely from the first moment we took Merry for a check up. The staff and doctors listen and talk to you so that you understand how your pet is doing and what they would recommend going further. In our case, Merry needed a teeth cleaning so we scheduled it at that time. We got an appointment email about a day or so out and again the night before. Very convenient. They are extremely professional in all aspects and pricing is what I would expect and in some cases, lower than others. We have all the confidence in Cherry Point Animal Hospital and recommend them to anyone with a pet. Thanks
