Stay away from these people. The office staff is over worked so they cannot properly care for the dogs and cats. Its a direct result of the manager who has for some time now been a difficult individual to work with. Ill keep it brief as I do now like long drawn-out reviews myself. Among the many small issues with the office management the two largest were the first one when my mother had an emergency with her pet he did his best to turn her down and only my persistence encouraged him to let her come there. I cant understand how anyone can turn someone down for an emergency but he certainly tried. The last one its much worse. I had personally called to set up an appointment. To put my animal down. I asked to speak to the office manager the receptionist told me he was not available and then proceeded to make the appointment with her for 4:30 p.m. that day to put my animal down so he would not suffer. we call the office at 4:40 and then instructed us that the doctor had already left for the day but they tried to get ahold of us. Gathering artwork in shock we ask the office manager how in the world could you do that to someone he simply replied your appointment was at 4:10 I saw her write it down he said to us. Blatantly lying to me of course has the receptionist made it clear he was not around earlier. I hope people hear these words and I hope they understand that even if this doctor was once good his office management has made it impossible for him to continue to be so. I will reach out to other reviewers that have had negative experiences . I will make it a personal goal to make sure this individual is held accountable for his actions, I will report to veterinary reviews, business , and ethical review agencies in hopes to prevent this from happening to anyone else Please be careful with your pet this place. No one deserves to go through what we just went through. They turned down our dying dog because we were 10 minutes too late.

This place was great!!!! First, they are open on Saturdays which is a big deal for us as we work M-F 8-5. I had called a vet near my home first and because she wasnt an established patient they wouldnt see her, but County Line Animal Hospital did. Upon arrival, the staff that greeted us was very warm and welcoming. The wait wasnt long, maybe 5 minutes and that was after I had made a last minute appointment. Once we got in the room, the vet assistant who helped us was so sweet and kind and patient. The room was VERY clean and didnt smell like "animals", quite a feat for being in vet hospital! She did the usual prelim questions and said she would be back shortly. A few min later, the dr and the vet came in the room. The doctor was SUPER nice, took his time when we had questions and made my dog feel at ease. She had an ear infection and he gave us some drops and sent us on our way. I was expecting the bill to make me throw up, since this was a last minute, Saturday visit and she wasnt an established patient, well it wasnt. He charged a very fair and reasonable price for the visit. The ear cleared up with no issues. This past weekend it seemed she was scratching that ear again. I called and told them I believe she has the same issue. Rather than trying to make a quick buck off of me and making her come in for an office visit, a simple call was made, verified she had been seen for same issue not long ago and a refill was granted! That is how customer service is done! I will be making County Line Animal Hospital my preferred Vet in Hernando County! Awesome service.. Awesome staff.. Awesome Dr!

UPDATE, YES, i was forced to go in there due to an emergency and was treated very professional, the whole staff was great, i was pleased with the attitudes, the service, the price as well as that that same guys demeanor. SO, yes, try these guys out, you will be very happy with the Dr.s care given to your family member (Fur Baby) and this latest trip was great, Thank you front staff for being professional and caring this time. Just hope all my trips into this place go as well as the latest & most recent one did. Please always remember in life, you get what you give, a smile gets a smile, a tongue sticking out gets a tongue sticking out. Please remember that always because it is common nature to be treated as you treat others hands down. I guess what i am saying is that this is a fine and trustworthy vets office to trust your familys/pets life with and that right there is saying a lot. God Bless you all working there and PLEASE try to remember that we as customers ALL have a choice of Vets offices to bring our loved ones to, so a little kindness goes a longgggg way with us old school pet owners. Thanks again for fixing our buddy guys, you rocked yesterday and today big time.

Dr. MacMahon is the absolute BEST vet in the area/ever! Firstly, a practice sets the tone by the front desk. Ginger and Gary are true professionals. They obviously have many years of experience. When they are the first people to talk to about your loved ones health, they know what they are doing and show compassion. I trust them. Then when you meet Dr. MacMahon, the weight of the world is lifted from your shoulders. He is a soft-spoken man who takes his time to explain the details of your pet. He is calm and reassuring. Even when my beloved Cooper was diagnosed with bone cancer, Dr. MacMahon worked with us, both emotionally and financially. 5 months suffering with cancer, Cooper was euthanized. Again, the BEST professionalism ever. I cant say enough about the staff at County Line Animal Hospital. Now Rascal is their patient and our new puppy as well. Thank you, County Line Animal Hospital!

One year ago next month I took my 12 year old beagle in because he wasnt acting right, he was peeing in the house. I took him in the month before and was told he was getting old. He had a x-ray and they said he probably had cancer. I was made to feel it was my fault for not bring him in sooner. I made the hard decision to have him put to sleep because he was in pain. After he was given the first shot to relax him he released his bladder, the staff mopped the floor as he lay dying, I thought this was inappropriate. Then I gave them a blanket to wrap him in and they stuffed him in a box way to small. As they brought him to my at my car I heard the staff laughing....again not sensitive. I called to complain and was never called back and never received an apology. I do not suggest anyone to take a loved pet to County Line Veterinarian Clinic....

Ginger answered the phone (after having me on hold for five minutes) with an attitude. First, I kindly told her I was interested in finding out some information about their facility and needing to have my dogs vaccines updated. She only replied with "ok so..." and I informed her i moved in November and did not currently have a vet, she again responded with "ok so...are you looking to get prices or what? *sigh (like people make with disgust)*" ...wow. with that kind of attitude, what makes a place think I want to have one of my three dogs ever under your facilities care? Stay away unless you want to be met with rude, unprofessional and abrupt staff.
