If you want your dog to almost die then bring them to San Francis! My dog was brought in for the first time to a meat market, assembly line of sick dogs all lined up in one waiting room. There was no separation between sick dogs and healthy dogs, which is extremely irresponsible of this veterinary office. My dog was being checked for his teeth/urinary issue and we were forced to be around all these dogs that were coughing, vomiting, and urinating. My dog contracted nothing short of basically the dog equivalency of the Ebola virus or Swine Flu! He was vomiting, had diarrahea with blood in it, and was totally lifeless and shaking for 3 days. He was just getting over the virus and my other dog (who has Addisons disease) caught the virus. He had the same horrible symptoms but was not getting better after 4 days. He was on his death bed and had to be rushed into the Hernando animal hospital who treated him for this horrific bacterial infection. He had to have an IV treatment, steroid injection, anti-diarrhea meds, anti-vomit meds, and sent home with antibiotics. My dog almost died, and not to mention cost us $320.00. We called San Francis and spoke to Jennifer (manager) and explained what happened. We felt they were responsible for what happened and her response was basically theres nothing we can do, and its similar to bringing your child to a daycare center where there are germs all around. Seriously!!!!!! My dog almost died!!! So just let highly contagious dogs all be around each other in the same room??? Wow, Im appalled by the response and by your negligence. I will tell everyone I know not to bring their dog to you unless they want a $320 vet bill and for this to happen!!! Youve been warned NOT to step foot in this place!!! Dont let this happen to your beloved pets!!!! P.S not to mention this completely ruined my 40th birthday bc I was so upset that my dog was this sick.....thanks San Francis!!!!

I used to like San Francis before they moved. Now their clinic is so big, I feel like I am treated like a number. I had an emergency on a Saturday. I called and explained my dog was in labor, needed x-rays to see how many puppies we had inside. I hate to argue to get an x-ray as they advised me to go ahead and give my shot of Oxytocin. This is extremely bad advice as I would not want to give that shot unless I did x-rays and could see where the puppy was. They got me in for an x-ray.While I waited in the waiting room a woman named Alana was answering the phone and has a less than professional attitude toward on the phone. She made negative comments about each person she got off the phone with, which made me wonder if she did that after she was done speaking with me on the phone. The radiologist saw that she had 1 puppy in there and it was apparent that we needed a c-section. I was informed that the staff would NOT perform a c-section unless they also spayed the dog at that time. This is my show Great Dane, I am absolutely not going to agree to spay her unless it was medically necessary. It was not medically necessary, they wanted to spay her due to personal beliefs and was willing to allow my dog to die rather than perform c-section without spay. I was so furious and absolutely appalled by the staff. There was absolutely no empathy. I ended up giving my business to Quail Wood Animal Hospital in GA. They did the c-section for a quarter of the cost of what I was quoted at San Francis and the customer service was amazing. My girl and her puppies are doing wonderful and I am so happy with the service at the vet that I drove 4 hours away for because San Francis pushed away my business. I have a working dog kennel and spend A LOT of money at the vet. They have lost my business and the business of my referrals.

San Francis used to be an amazing place with amazing people. But after one of the doctors gave my sheltie ivermectin, which all white footed herding dogs should avoid, we were reluctant to come back. But when we needed a vet for my cat who was dropping weight so rapidly and was refusing to eat or drink, we came back. We went in on Friday and it was a typical visit and was given a diagnosis of a possible uti. Then Monday we were told it wasnt a uti, it was liver fluke and given more of the antibiotics that were giving her a SEVERE adverse reaction. And Tuesday, when we thought she was on her last breath, it was not liver fluke it was FIP and a uti. All while the cat is still not eating, drinking, and is skin and bones. Now we are SHOVING food down her throat to keep her from dying of starvation and we requested records so if my family needed to seek treatment over the weekend we had something to show. Looking over the records, the commentary in the records were either entirely false or making snarky stabs at my financial situation. And that was the last straw. I will not be back as weve gotten 2 misdiagnosis, we are "just treating symptoms" at this point, no help in the fact that my 13 pound cat lost half her body weight, and the horrible note commentary. Save yourself the trouble and dont bother making an appointment.

Very disappointed with lack of concern and care for our two boxers. We went in on a Thursday with our youngest boxer who had an oral lesion that was continuously bleeding. The lesion had suddenly gotten much larger. We were given two homeopathic things to "stop" the bleeding and the other was to "shrink" the growth. We were told that they were going to fit him in on the surgery schedule and would call us the next day. After no call by 3pm a message was left asking for a return call. At 7pm they called and stated that they would "hopefully" be able to fit us in on Monday. I told them the bleeding hadnt even slowed down and one of the technicians said to continue the medicines. I stated that he was getting diarrhea and was told they could have another medicine for us to pick up tomorrow for that. I called them the very next morning because the bleeding had gotten worse and he was trying to bite the growth. We were concerned it would get torn. Again the tech advised per the vet to continue the meds and again "hopefully" they could fit us in for surgery on Monday. Here we are Monday night and no call from the vet. I am a nurse and I would NEVER treat my patients this way. The lack of concern and the blatant disregard for our boxers health and well being is disgusting.

San Francis Veterinary Hospital has been my vet for over 7 years. They are the best in Spring Hill!! I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gia, Tracie and Courtney for their outstanding service. I went to get my dogs nails and anals done. They were having a special on microchipping. I was very leary of having it done, but Gia convinced me it was the right thing to do so that if my dogs ever got lost, they had a very good chance of finding me. Im so glad she convinced me because now I have peace of mind! And Tracie was amazing!! She explained everything to me and did both dogs in no time!!! And they did not even flinch!!! Then Courtney helped me to be able to receive the special food I buy delivered to my home!!! Such a blessing since I am disabled and have a hard time getting there. I love everyone in that office!! They all are so compassionate and are there ready to help!!! Thank you girls for making my visit so pleasant!!!!
