An EMBARRASMENT to his profession!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not waste your time and money with receiving inadequate services or lack there of. His staff was completely unprofessional and rude, but what should you expect if the owner displays the same attitude. My initial visit lasted every bit of 10mn, he asked three questions ( what problems are you having, what are you using, and how long have you noticed) - he did not let me provide a complete answer nor did he examine my skin ( he sat across from me with his legs crossed as if we were having a casual conversation in a social setting!!!!!) so one would think how can you gain an assessment or give medical advise on the problems im having with my skin. Following what he considered to be an assessment, I was given a handout on rosacea - 2 prescriptions - 3 samples - inadequate instructions ( use only at night, no use in the morning, I mean at night, ill right it down for you. What was written was hardily legible, even on the prescription itself - the pharmacist at Walgreens could barely make out the prescription). Needless to say, everything he prescribed and the samples given only made matters worse, my skin became very irritated, flushed, dry/scaley. I followed doctors orders and contacted his office, because he stated, " if there is a problem or you experience any problems with these, you need to come back so we can make an adjustment", after using each item he instructed me to use. My 2nd visit was absolutely the worse I have ever experienced with a health professional and ive been in managed care for over 10yrs. Dr. Gibbs bedside manner was horrid, instead of asking me the reason for my visit and inquiring about the complications - if I had followed his instructions, he began his visit with me by stating, " when you have hypertension or experiencing hypertension, you may have an adverse reaction to certain medications and what I prescribed for you has been known to work in over 85-90% of patients, so I dont know why its not working for you". If your reading this let me be very clear, I do not have hypertension, was never asked if I have hypertension. As stated at the beginning of this review, he asked me only three questions for a visit that lasted 10mns, none of those questions were related to my medical history. My response to Dr. Gibbs after his initial response was, "who said I have hypertension". He spoke past my question and went onto say, "you should try taking birth control, because that controls hormone levels". Im not a health professional clinically, however, I do believe you have to assess patient to make a determination of what health problem they could be experiencing before writing out any prescriptions, and if they return to you - you dont start throwing out comments about what you think it could be or what they should take. He didnt even conduct an exam, his assistant reviewed my skin through the lighted micro-lense, however, he never did nor did he ask her any questions although i was draped as if he really was going to conduct an exam or treat my skin ( its visble by the naked eye something isnt right with my skin, why he couldn"t or didnt want to see it is beyond me). In fact he told me there was nothing else he could do for me and instructed his assistant to give me some samples. For any medical professional to write prescriptions as a quick fix or temporary cure to a health condition without an exam or proper assessment is an insult and disservice to their patients and potential patients. I have spoken with those following my visits that suggested I go to Dr. Gibbs, because they found him to be helpful or knew of others that received care from him. Ironically, 2 indicated after 3-4 visits and multiple medications or concoctions he makes they finally saw a change. DO NOT GO TO THIS DERMATOLOGIST UNLESS YOU ENJOY SPENDING MONEY FOR A LACK OF SERVICE, MULTIPLE RXs/OFFICE MADE CONCOCTIONS AND BEING MISTREATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been with Dr Gibbs over 15 yrs. and today that changed we (my family)will not go backThe insurance clerk Cynthia was nasty and rude, I work in insurance everyday and when u have an HRA account and NO copay you never pay money upfront, you get billed. Cynthia stated that we need to pay 125 for a visit before my son even went into the room to see the Dr I can understand if he was have a surgery but just for an office visit. NO WAY. She also states that that is his policy to meet the deductible before being seen, I understand that too but if the visit isnt the cost of the deductible amount and not knowing what he is going to do how do you know how much to charge. Well Dr Gibbs you just lost another family due to your new policy that has never been in place before. It doesnt pay to be greedy on the front end it always come back to bite you in the end. Losing a patient.

Waited over an hour to see him 5 minutes. Wanted to see him about my acne...did not ask me any questions about what I have been doing for my skin, what type of acne I get anything! Hardly looked at my skin! Gave me three prescriptions with very vague instructions....take it or apply it whenever you think it will work for you! None of the prescriptions he gave me where covered by my insurance because they were all new. They were over $600. DON"T GO HERE!!!

Ive been going to Dr. Gibbs for 7 years now. From the first day I walked into his office covered in a rash that my previous Dr. couldnt seem figure out what was wrong with me til today. He has been AWESOME. My skin was so bad that I wore maks over my face and covered my whole body. I called myself a monster. Dr. gibbs made me take it off and assured me I was human and still beautiful. I thank him everyday for what hes done to help me!! two thumbs up!!!!

i agree with the other review on this site; I waited a long time. The staff treated me like a juvenile (wouldnt let me drink my coffee inside!) and the doctor didnt listen to me or give me any useful information. My med STUDENT friend finally solved the rash issue that this doctor failed to. Also, he charged my insurance two "surgery" fees for wart freezing that didnt even work. awful.

DR,Gibbs, is a nice man, but the lady with gray hair, and the lady with the brown wig are a-- holes, and very ghetto, another thing they are charging more than co-pays, for an office visit, which is totally wrong, I will be calling my insurance company, and reporting this. The white man charges copays only.

I agree with the last post. He is a pure a--hole. he never listens to his patients. He charges your copay before you see him, allows you about 5 min to see him and basically kick you out. He staff is nice though, but he is a total a--hole

Absolutely love Dr. Gibbs!! I have been going to him for years, even when I moved out of town I came back to him for treatment. Short wait times and we always had great conversations, he never rushed me out!!
