Advanced had very poor customer service from the beginning – the line for people to check in was five people deep with the phones ringing off the hook and only one person to handle phone and check-ins, I had to wait well over an hour even though I got there half an hour before my appointment like they asked, the provider and her MA were VERY rushed in the exam room and she did not seem concerned about my possible skin cancer spot at all and said they could biopsy it or I could just keep using the antifungal ointment I had been prescribed for a few more weeks even though I have a history of overexposure to sun and family history of skin cancer, and when I got the biopsy results back I tried to call them to change the removal method and couldn’t get anyone on the phone but got this long voicemail explanation about not to expect a call back before 24 hours and not to leave duplicate calls or it would just delay things even more, which was a little off-putting. When I decided to switch providers after all that, I signed a medical records release for my lab results from Advanced Dermatology in mid-May so the new provider would have it before my appointment, and when I saw the new provider on 6/5 Advanced STILL had not sent them my lab results, nor could the new provider reach Advanced on the phone either. If youre able, use Tanenbaum or Memphis Dermatology Clinic instead of this place.

ts funny how you ready other peoples post about a company or business and think its them. If you are reading this stay away... Dr Patel obviously doesnt care about patients and more about how many people can she cram on her schedule for the money . As a first time patient, I could tell you that Dr. Patel exhibited greed which was prevalent today. I had an appointment at 8:45 am , arrived on time had my paperwork completed prior to the appointment. The waiting room wasnt pack when I got there, so Im thinking I should be in to see the doctor in the next 20 minutes. After waiting Im seeing a bunch of patients coming in and being seen before me, but i was still optimistic. Then 45 minutes pass my appointment i was told that she is not ready and had a host of people in front of me . Not sure where they came from. I ended up leaving with out seeing Dr Patel.

Referred by my General Practioner for a two year old wound and they did a biopsy of two new mosquito bites on a completely different area. They never addressed the old wound that will not heal. So now I am faced with a 45 day additional wait to see the Doctor about the initial reason for the office visit. I have to take additional time off work and do not trust they will consider the reason for visit. Filling out a history was a waste of time, they seemingly did not consider diabetes or sarcoids being the reason for the wound. I was recovering from cellulittis and sepsis. Barely looked at and did not mention the obvious visible symptoms of cellulitis If the issue was beyond their level of care they should have advised me to go somewhere else. A waste of time and money. I rate them ZERO for effort, professionalism and personability.

This was the most unprofessional medical facility I have ever been in. I myself am a doctor. My wife was referred to this clinic for the removal of a mole. We waited for an hour then told to go upstairs. When we got there we were greeted by blaring music which made me feel like we were in a club. The assistant did not seem to know what was going on and Dr. Patel felt the need to use unprofessional 4 letter words when describing my wife's condition. We expressed our concern but the Dr. did not seem to take it seriously. We promptly left, got a refund for my copayment, spoke with the office manager, and left to find another provider to care for my wife.

Waiting time was unreasonably long. 1hr+++. Others seemed impatient too about the wait and asked the receptionist if they had been forgotten. Then got to wait in another room. A few pleasantrys by the staff : coffee soda magazine would in addition to checking in an a "It wont be long update" would have helped. It was worth the wait. Best Dr Ive seen in this area competent thorough plesant. Good staff too. Smart nice efficient good listeners helpful and sympathetic. If it was a restaurant the tip would not have been as generous as my usual but I would go back and they need to change the radio station and TURN IT DOWN (volume)

I have always had a great experience with Dr. Patel! I have been her patient for 3 years and been to her numerous times. Each time I have gotten her undivided attention. I find her to be very well educated on whats going on in her field. As well as her product offering is cutting edge! Some of the comments on here seem negative and I couldnt disagree more. If you want to get an accurate diagnosis with up to date techniques than she is your doctor. If youre looking to make a new BFF I think she is rather busy in her numerous practices and may not have time for that.

I waited for a long time to see Dr. Patel. She is way overpriced; music was way too loud which made me feel that was the most unprofessional medical facility I’ve ever dealt with. As my doctor, I expected her to return my call back or replies back to my email since it is part of her service. Her billing department filed my claim under the wrong insurance and even though I connected the insurance with the billing department on a 3 way call to get the information correct, they still missed it up. I highly don’t recommend her service to anyone

I was recently diagnosed with Shingles with my PCP and the medicine she prescribed didnt help with the pain or itching. I consulted Dr. Patel and she immediately recommended a better treatment option. Within hours I had pain relief and was able to function without pain or itching. She is a wonderful dermatologist and I would highly recommend everyone to see her and her wonderful medical staff. Everyone from the front desk, phone nurse to her clinical staff are FANTASTIC!!! Thank you Dr. Patel for taking such good care of me.

Very nice clinic, very nice people. I found the clinic personnel to be professional friendly and knowledgeable. I went to get a mole check and chemical peel. The staff explained everything in detail to me and answered all questions. The experience was enjoyable from beginning to end. The cost was reasonable. Dr Patel is very professional and gave me great advice and recommendations. When I have follow up questions, the office staff answers them on the phone right away! This is now my dermatology clinic!

Best dermatologist experience Ive ever had! Dr. Patel is knowledgeable and genuinely concerned in her patients. She was friendly and patiently listened as I went through my recurring skin issues. She gave me a few options, and answered all my questions so that I could decide on a course of action. My skin looks the best it ever has! I cant say enough about my experience about Dr. Patel and her staff and would recommend them to anyone.
