A doctor, assistants, and staff that go above and beyond. This review may be a bit long but I have to express my gratitude completely and let others know how wonderful these people are This past weekend a cracked a molar. I knew it was going to be bad and had very high anxiety thinking those two words.. "root canal". I called as soon as the office opened and they told me to not hesitate, come in right now. Dear Tammi greeted me when I walked in and offered me something to drink. I explained to her how anxious I was and Dr. Slater himself came out and gave me a hug. His words were, "We are going to re-train your mind that this is not going to be a painful experience." Deana, Dr. Slaters assistant, brought me back and settled me in the chair. This included a comfortable neck pillow, a headset to listen to music, and a warm soft blanket. After a painless examination, I was right.. it was the dreaded root canal. I suffer from severe TMJ. For those of you that have this you may know how painful this can be. Dr. Slater and Deana made me completely comfortable so that I was not in pain during the procedure. Special care was taken so that I did not have to strain while the procedure was done. And along with nitrous oxide I was, indeed, very comfortable AND PAIN FREE! Unfortunately, after the numbing wore off and a sleepless night I realized my TMJ flared up badly. One call and they had me back in to adjust my bite and provide me with pain relief. These people go above and beyond. Simply stated. Every time I have been there I have felt comfortable and treated like family. They truly care, and if proof is needed just go once. You will not regret it. Dr. Slater cares and does not hesitate to talk about anything you want, interests, concerns, anything... I, myself, work for a non profit faith based organization that also believes in care and comfort. We believe in providing unique care for others, together. This place compares with that. I feel blessed. I feel proud to be a part of such a wonderful company. And I am proud to also be part of the Dr. Slater Dentistry family. All of you go above and beyond. Thank you for caring about and for me.

I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Slaters practice by a friend who had a lot of work done by this fine dentist. Personally, I had not emphasized great dental care for most of my life AND had been the recipient of some pretty poor/rough dental care as well. Neither of these predisposed me to routinely (or even rarely) wanting to go to the dentist. And then I started to go to Dr. Slater... In the few years since finding Dr. Slater, I have had quite a bit of work done. The years of dentist-fear had really done a number on my teeth, let me tell you. I think we are about done with getting everything to a good and healthy state, but this necessitated a lot of invasive procedures, including multiple root canals, deep cleaning, etc... I know that you are not going to believe this next statement, but I can assure you that Dr. Slater somehow performs this work with basically NO PAIN. I dont know what techniques he uses, and really dont care. All I know is that now I have no fear of going to the dentist. I know that I am in great hands and he and his INCREDIBLE staff will take care of me as if I was family. They always go the extra mile and I feel incredibly blessed that I and my family are now cared for my such an expert dentist and amazing office. I truly believe there is no better place to go to have dentistry done in DFW (or anywhere). As a final testiment to their amazing work...I had another root canal TODAY and felt nothing during or after the procedure. Not a dang thing, even now as I write this before going to bed. Simply incredible!

Dr. Slater and his staff are above the best dentist and staff. From the moment you walk in they know you by name and will offer you something to drink while waiting. Was referred by a friend in an emergent situation back in April and they worked me in and pulled the offending tooth that afternoon. I have since had a root canal and three more teeth pulled. The tooth that had the root canal ended up being lost also. But they tried to save the tooth. Yesterday I started the process of replacing these teeth with implants. Besides the numbness until mid day today it was like nothing other than soreness was any different. Dr. Slater is very gentle while administering the numbing agent and will reapply as needed. Deana and Dr. Slater are a great team and the rest of the office is outstanding also. Dr. Slater also follows up with his patients via phone either the same day and or the next day. I have never had any medical professional do this unless you request a call back from them. Thank you Dr. Slater and staff for putting this anxious patient at ease every time she enters your office.

Dr. Slater is great! I was a new patient who had not been to the dentist in quite a while. I had some sensitivity in a tooth and Dr. Slater recommended that I get a root canal. I had always heard horror stories about them so, naturally, I was a bit nervous. Dr. Slater and his staff made me feel right at ease with the procedure. Beforehand, Dr. Slater told me that there will be no paid, and the man kept his word. I didnt feel any pain while he performed the procedure. You can tell the staff cares for their patients too. I was a bit apprehensive so Deana recommended that I take the nitrous, which in hindsight, was a great move. It made me feel as if the procedure took only 15 minutes, when in fact I was there for almost 1.5 hours. Cant say enough about these guys. I use to hate going to the dentist, but Dr. Slater and staff make you feel at home. Now, Im not nearly as nervous as I use to be and look forward to my appointment in June.

As in everytime I visit Dr Slaters office I am in awe at how friendly the staff is. They make you feel as if they have known you forever and that you are a part of their family. They are more than happy to help you with any problem you have when you come in. Dr Slater always has time to visit with you regardless how busy he is. I went in last year with a tooth half broke off. He was able to save it and crown it. I absolutely love the work this guy does! And the staff.... there just arent enough words to express how much I appreciate their assistance with the billing and everything else they do. You literally could not pay me to go to any other dentist! EVER! There is an old saying... you get what you pay for. And even though some people may consider them to be a little more expensive. They are worth every penny they charge. I highly recommend Dr Slater and his staff to anybody and everybody. Even if you dont live in Arlington.
