The phone rep and in house consultation rep were not professional which is important to me re the health of my vision esp if a procedure like Lasik would be performed i filled out their web form regarding Lasik on Friday 8/12 expressing interest. A representative called soon after left a message that said something about giving me a "shout out" about my expressed interest. Red flag number 1 - when dealing with the health and welfare of my eyes I dont not want any person associated with affecting my vision to be as a rep of that business giving me a shout out. It is not professorial - I called back not sure if I spoke with Kevin Clemons Director of Operations but it sounded like the individual who left a message. Again the welfare of my vision for a lifetime I want professionals not someone trying to be cool and fly. I spoke about scheduling a Saturday appointment and then he mentioned none would be covered and it would be between $3500-4000 I had another ongoing appointment couldnt continue the conversation and needed to think about it and he asked if I was interested I told him just forget about it. After my appointment I decided perhaps I could afford so I called back got a woman who took my info and then received a call back about 15 minutes later. It was the same individual who left the message- i then scheduled a Saturday appointment for 8:30 8/13. I arrived Saturday 8/13/2016 at 8:25. Signed in then waiteed about 15 minutes. Eventually a female representive who was not dressed professionally called me into a room and immediately went to the conversation I had with the person on the phone whom I told just forget about it then later scheduled the Sat appt with. She asked me "do i want to be here" and referenced the point I said I am not interested. I told her I rescheduled. She persisted and said it says you were not interested. I told her obviously I was else i wouldnt have rescheduled. She then told me the Lasik for $4000 would correct my far vision but if I wanted to read it would be between $7500-8000 - twice as much. She mentioned I could use readers with the $4000 procedure it just depended on what I wanted then referenced the initial conversation again where i told the guy forget about it ,,,again! I asked why she keep circling back to the conversation defending her co worker ...I then asked if the lesser expensive procedure could be corrected later so I could not need readers she told me it could but they would make one eye myopic (out of focus or weaker). I then asked if the more expensive procedure would make one of my eyes myopic and she told me it would not. So for twice as much At that point she circled back to the conversation again I had with the first person asking yet againand did I want to be there given I told the first person I was not interested. I then explained the fact I had anmother appointment rethought the expense and called back to schedule the appointment. Had I not wanted to be there I would not have driven there on a Saturday morning. She then told me I was being combative asked if i was even interested in the lesser expensive procedure at which point I told her the initial impression of the unprofessional shout out made me think I am dealing with people who were more interested in being cool than the health ad welfare of my eyes. Secondly to use the initial conversation as leverage to try to pressure someone to spend twice as much as was pitched by the person on the phone is unscrupulous. I do not know VISION what the professionals are like behind the scenes but the people I dealt with one the phone and in person were not professional. The receptionist was nice. In retrospect I have had more courteous professional experiences at optometry offices in the shopping mall

I had a consultation 8/9/16 for possible LASIK and for a new contact prescription. I confirmed on the phone before hand that they could do the contact prescription at the same time and accepted my insurance. My visit was nearly 3 hours long. I was shuffled around between 3 lobbies and 4-5 different rooms with different eye test performed by different ppl. After finally meeting a doctor I was taken out to lobby then led back into the exam room only to be led back into lobby (they seemed to forget where I was supposed to be). I finally met with the councilor(the money person). She was the only one that explained anything (yes the doctor never said a word) she explained lasik was not recommended for me but another 7k procedure was recommended due to the severity of my prescription: -9.0. 1) this could have been concluded from the get go with no testing and I wouldnt have set there for 3 hours had I known I would be looking at 7k for surgery. 2) no contact prescription was given. One person said they didnt take my insurance (which is united and everyone takes) while the councilor Informed it was due to the need for a second appointment. I informed her this was specifically asked about when making the appointment. I expressed my concerns that the doctor made no effort to discuss recommendations to me and that I was lied to on the phone about ability to get contact prescription. I believe at that point she concluded that I could not afford anything there and gave me information for another company that "is cheaper and likely better for you and contacts". To be clear I can afford the 7k I just do not find the value in it. 2500 or 3k I could see value in. Also, this is a beautiful facility that is massively staffed, we are talking 4 receptionists, 3 ladies doing checkout, tons of nurses, "councillors" and other various support staff, I must have had a dozen ppl handling various portions of my visit......3 patients in the entire building....it would seem to me that the overhead of this facility is being passed on the the patient and having so many staff members takes out the personal touch and clear communication. I would not recommend anyone go to this facility. Even if they have wonderful doctors the lack of communication with each other and with clients is enough in my mind to stay far away.

Had a consult with Dr. Kline (he wears glasses?). Agreed to have cataract surgery beginning with left eye. When paying the day b4 surgery going over everything the scheduler told me a Dr. Frazer was doing my surgery. Adding Dr. Kline no longer performed the procedure.Frazer is a very nice man. With that said let me say after both eyes are done I cannot see.Cant read at all. I use a huge magnifying glass. No one seems interested in fixing the problem. I was told told to go see my optometrist for a follow up. It is very painful sometimes so I telephoned for for eyedrops that relieve pain. Was told they do not do Rxs for anything. DOES NO ONE THERE HAVE PRESCRIPTIVE AUTHORITY? Are these people M>D.s.I have 20-25 in left eye when the heavy fog disappears (surgery in May). Did the right eye 3 weeks ago and cant see anything. They said there is a scratch on my cornea and it all heal. When? There is no refuting that the facility is new & lovely. Some of the staff is very nice. The anethesiologists did not provide appropriate medication. It was very painful.Though this was discussed after the first time, the same scenerio was repeated on the second eye.. Dr. Frazer assured me there were multiple ways to tweak things so I can see. Yet, I was told to go see the doc who referred me to Evangelista.I. insurance pays for would consider 3 things b4 this surgery. 1) Dont pay $1,400 e xtra per eye for laser-. the original procedure is paid for by insurance and I dont see where it hurts any more. Other patients in the waiting are told me they declined th lazer due to expense but the doctor used it anyway at no chage because it is so much easier for them. Check & document what happens if there is a complication and should require Rx. This is a 2-part review. I will follow up with resolution.Do a bette job on fact checking than I did. Thanks for reading.
