As much as I hate to post a negative review for this company, I feel I must. Dr. Middleton is a wonderful doctor and listens attentively and has always prescribed the perfect prescription for my eyes. I could not ask for a better doctor and WILL continue to use him as my eye doctor. HOWEVER, the group of doctors need to find a new office staff. I have left messages that were never returned or acknowledged in any way. I have been put on hold for 30 minutes, 15 minutes...until I lose my patience and hang up. I have been in the middle of a conversation with the person who answers the phone and been disconnected and no call back. Sometimes the person answers the phone has a cheerful voice, but that is where it ends. Its almost comical that this is what I expect when I call. It took some time to find the right contact, so I was having to communicate with the staff a lot. I NEVER... NOT ONCE... had a pleasant experience with them. Please, doctors of Advanced Eye Care, do yourself a favor and start paying attention to how your staff is treating your patients.

The Office Staff is VERY UNFRIENDLY! The first time I called them to set up an appointment, the person who answered was very rude and argumentative. I chalked it up to someone having a bad day. When we went into the office, I witnessed the same front desk person talking on the phone to patients and in person to patients and she was just plain rude. Today I had to call their office to get some documentation for my Benny Card transaction with them and I got a different office person and she proceeded to talk over me and kept repeating herself when I asked a question as though I were 5 years old. She never answered my question, told me to "HOLD!" and put me into the voicemail for the Accounts Receivable person. VERY RUDE! Its really sad because the Doctor himself is very nice and took a lot of time with us when we were there and he is very thorough.

They are wonderful.. until theres a problem and then they wont talk to you. My husband and I have been going to this practice for a couple of years and were very happy. Then I had a problem with the prescription they gave me for my glasses. I could not see with them, and I was told "maybe theres something wrong with my eyes!" Really!? The office manager would not speak to me after numerous attempts to resolve the issue. The doctors were unwilling to address the problem. How do you resolve an issue when you are unwilling to talk to the patient!? We will not be going back! My advice - find a practice that actually cares about their patients satisfaction and care.

I read the other reviews but I had no issue with the office staff. They were nothing but kind on the phone when I needed to set up an appointment for the first time and greeted me when I came in for my appointment in a very friendly and welcoming manner. Very happy with the customer service here and would encourage those new to the area and needing to find an eye doctor to give this office a chance.

The miscommunication between their office staff and I cost me months of delay in getting the necessary cataract surgery that I needed. I ended up with Key Whitman in Dallas and glad that I did....wonderful staff and they actually care. Shame on you Advanced...reconsider your front office please.

Office staff is not friendly! I referred a friend to them that was hispanic and they treated him and his wife poorly! Dr. Eckert was very friendly but needs to fire the office staff and start over!
