They used to be a fine, if somewhat expensive clinic when Dr. Q owned the place. In the last year or so some younger folks bought the place, and wow have prices gone UP AND service is DOWN. Recently my dog had an ear infection. I was in Ohio where the local clinic charged me $60 for the checkup plus the medicine was included. She got better but developed diarrhea. I went to Canyon Clinic and (my daughter being a doctor and awesome diagnostician) asked them to test for c-diff as shed just got off antibiotics and that can happen. They didnt think that was necessary and tested for all sorts of OTHER stuff. It was several hundred dollars and the dog got no better. Second visit cost even more, and I asked again to test for c-diff. They argued but I insisted. They acted out out with me. By now I am nearing a thousand dollars and guess what the problem was? Yup, it was c-diff. I will never go back -- WAY too expensive and theyre not that good frankly. The younger owners act like its their duty to get super wealthy regardlesS of Service quality.

Love how this company takes care of my dog. The staff are so friendly and the vets are so careful of my dogs health. Every visit is logged on the computer so they know exactly what has been done and when a prescription expires. I even take my dog there for her baths. My dog was always hesitant to enter any vet and would tug backwards on her leash. At this place she just walks right in. She seems content with the way they treat her. One vet even got down on the floor when my dog was freaked out by getting on the exam table. I dont think she liked the slick surface and could get no traction. No problem. The vet just hunkered down and did her annual exam of my dog on the floor. Now that is what I call service! One time the staff even called to my attention that I wasnt giving her the proper dosage of medicine. I highly recommend this place.

When I first moved to the Canyon Lake area the first thing I did was find a vet for my 3 dogs and cat. I LOVE Canyon Animal Clinic!!! I have had nothing but great experiences with these folks! I also broad my dogs with them when I have to go out of town and my babies are completely taken care of. They are not left in cages unattended, my babies are let out several times a day, walked and pampered by the whole staff. The doctors are wonderful, friendly and gave me the grand tour of the entire clinic on my first visit. The facility is clean, organized and well kept. I HIGHLY recommend them. I could not imagine a better place for my pets. Thank you to all the doctors and staff at the Canyon Animal Clinic. ♥ ♥ ♥ You are the BEST ♥ ♥ ♥

I usually go to the sister clinic, Canyon City Animal Hospital, but I find both clinics to be very professional and staff is courteous and helpful. I have 4 dogs and 4 cats, and I feel like the vets really care about my pets. Some might say the cost is high, but that is veterinary medicine in general. There is more to it than what you see on the surface. There is education, research, equipment costs, utilities, rent, staff costs, food, medicine, janitorial and more. I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician, and having worked at many clinics as well as been a customer, I can say that these are among the best clinics I have experienced.

I Love Dr. Quinn and the entire staff here. I drive from Round Rock Texas to come to see them. I have had 3 pomeranians over a ten yr. period and wouldnt want anyone else take care of them. The staff and doctors love my babies the same as I do. The care , cleanliness in the office, and consideration they gave me when I had to say goodbye to two of my precious babies was beyond incredible. If you have never experienced a true family environment, take your precious family pets to this clinic. You will never want to go anywhere else. I know I will always be a customer for life! We switched to Canyon Animal Clinic following a poor experience at another nearby clinic and have been more than satisfied. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable and have accommodated our schedule more than once by staying late. Our labs see Dr. Leakey and he will always be our vet of choice !!. Dr. Leakey is excellent, courteous, takes the time to answer all of our questions, ensures the best care is provided to our labs, and has always been available when we need him. The prices are quite reasonable and having two locations offers convenience as well.

I have been taking our babies to Canyon Animal Clinic for years, and have nothing but great care, some of our babies have passed from growing old but they had excellent health care and as usual, they are giving our two 3 year olds the best of care, besides taking care of their exams and giving excellent advise, they have been there for emergencies and really have gone out of their way to help us be as worry free as possible, the staff is great and very professional, In addition to the health care my dogs get, I also take them there for baths and grooming.

Dr. Leakey is a jewel. He did not try to push us into treatments for our old dog Smokey and helped us through some issues before we had to finally let her go. His attitude was great with us and his consideration of our dogs life and comfort was paramount. We also feel the staff at Canyon Animal Clinic is awesome. Tanner treated our conflicted dog Zoey with tenderness and care. Beth is always kind hearted and Betty went above and beyond to try to help us when we had to let Smokey go. Thank you all for your support of our four legged family.

It was about 3:00 in the afternoon and my dog had been attacked by another dog and had a large gash on her leg. I called my Vet and explained that she needed be seen immediately - I was told that they were booked up and couldnt see my injured dog until the next morning. I loaded my dog up and took her to CAC. They saw her immediately, gave her a few staples and medications and we were on our way. The staff was AWESOME!!! I will be changing veterinarians now to a clinic that is available and caring!

Our whole family is so grateful to the entire staff at Canyon Animal Clinic for not only saving Bandits life but taking care of our needs as his family. Bandits care went above and beyond what we expected with his medical needs as well as around the clock TLC. The staff understood how emotional we were about our dogs fragile state of health and treated us with the upmost sensitivitiy and kindness. We will not be taking our 4 dogs anywhere else.

Dr. Leakey, Dr. Bullock, and Dr. Horstmann are all wonderful vets that I have each seen throughout my years at Canyon Animal Clinic. Emergency situations and just plain annual check ups, the staff and vets are accommodating and caring to my kids and foster kids. They have helped me through parvo, cancer, pregnancy and so much more then I have wanted to deal with in rescue. Their personal touch and understanding makes it all worth while!!
