I found a dog wandering in my neighborhood. I took it to a couple of vets in the area to see if they recognized it. The last place I went was Town & Country Pet Hospital. They did not recognize the dog, but scanned it for a microchip. (Im not sure why the other clinics I went did not do this) Happily, the dog was chipped, unfortunately the dog was not registered to anyone. The lady helping me, Jennifer I think, called the company to track down where the chip was sold to, then called the place that did it. She got the owners number, but had to leave a message. She even texted the owner from her own phone. After waiting for a bit with no call back, they offered to keep the dog until the owner could be tracked down. I decided to take the dog home with me and finally got with the owner. I dont currently have a dog, but when I get my next one I will be coming here, just from the service I got. Its not that the other places I went were rude, they just didnt seem interested in helping. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because I didnt actually have to see the vet.

The vets knew what they were doing, I suppose, but instead of educating me or informing me why they were performing random tests on my dog, I was billed without a choice. Every time I would inquire on what the test was for, I was given a very vague answer leaving me clueless and at the mercy of their "vast" veterinary knowledge. When I further inquired on the cost of the tests, I was given the response, "I will have to check" EVERY time I asked someone. The way they would check the price was to simply perform the test anyways and bill me; so unless you want to pay this vet at the mercy of your pet, I would not recommend them. I will add this note that I prefer a vet that educates me on how to care for my pet and why certain things are important. My previous two vets (which I left due to relocation, not by choice) would give me this courtesy. I was a number to this clinic.

Ive been going to Dr Weisser for 6 or 7 years. They do an excellent job of taking care of my dogs.
