Over the weekend I received services at Wise Family Practice Urgent Care located at 800 Medical Center Dr c, Decatur, TX 76234. When I arrived at my appointment I handed the receptionist my ID, Debit Card, and Insurance Card. She told me that my charge would be $20.40. I questioned this amount because my copay is usually $20.00. She advised me that the extra 40 cents must have been owed from my last appointment. No problems I went ahead and paid the $20.40 and went to my appointment. The next day I received an alert that my card had went into the negative causing me to incur a $30 overdraft fee. It showed I had two transactions from Wise Family Practice Urgent Care. One for $20.40 & another for $20.00. I immediately called the office and the woman that answered said that the billing department would be there Monday and that she would leave a note for them to call me first thing to resolve the issue. I work nights so I waited up as long as I could on Monday with no luck. So Tuesday morning I called and spoke with Mary from billing. First she questioned the validity of my insurance, then she said I must of handed my card to the receptionist twice in order for the two transactions to appear. I told her no and told her exactly what happened. I admit at this point I was getting mad. She then said she was having computer issues and would have to call me back. I waited an hour and she never returned my call. So I called her back and she got smart and told me that a technician was working on her computer and that the transaction was out of her hands. I told her I wanted to speak to the manager. She said fine and then hung up on me! I decided that in order to get anything done I would have to go up there myself. I arrived and asked for the manager where she informed me that I was charged for the $20.40 for a balance I had in their office AND my copay. I tried to tell her that the receptionist never told me that the additional charge was being put on my card. I never authorized the $20! The woman at the front told me $20.40 and that is what I agreed to pay. They wouldnt hear it. They wouldnt accept ownership of their two employees errors. They told me they would refund one of the amounts but I would still get billed for it later which I found ridiculous. All in all I left without this issue resolved and very upset. My card was double charged without my permission. I will never return to this place and I hope you do not trust your hard earned money with this business. While it is vital to have this kind of business in a community I cant possibly trust them after this especially with my money or much less my health.

Horrible I got x rays done here because I injured my back at work and they told me it would take a few hours and they would give me the results four hours later I call them and they tell me to wait another hour and I do I keep calling them and get the same reply at 8:45 pm they call to tell me that one x-ray came back and it was fine but dont go to work until we get the other x ray back I called this morning and they said the x-ray got lost and they had to resend it and someone would give me a call back again in a few hours I just called them now the provider is not in the office but my report is they cannot give me a straight answer is my back messed up or not so I have to miss work yet again I hate this place and I will not be going back

Honestly I feel bad posting this because there are a few women there that kick butt and know what they are doing, but overall this place is a madhouse. Ive never waited less than an hour to be seen with an appointment!! And test results are a joke, good luck getting them to call you. You have to call a million times and the person giving you your results has no clue what they are talking about and have to keep putting you on hold to talk to someone else...super unprofessional!!!! very unorganized!!! Hire some people with experience! get a better system! I felt like cattle!! Will never be going back here again! And they definitely push for more unnecessary appointments!

The girls who work the front desk are trained to force you to make appointments and pay copays when you actually shouldnt have to. There is zero communication between the front and back office. When you call and speak to actual medical professionals they are helpful but none of that communication is passed on to the front. They tow the line of "our office policy is you have to be seen every two months so we can steal your money and bill your insurance" despite your own doctor telling you its unneccesaary. Forced office visits for non-controlled substance refills when I have lab results in my hand is a SCAM.

Only reason I give them one star you have to give at least one star. I had an appointment @ 9:00 am wasnt called back until 9:45 sat in examination room until 10:15 never see anybody except nurse that took my blood pressure . Was ask for copay when check in so I paid I guess they got my money and thats all its about is getting your money .Its not thats theyre bad doctors they double book appointment time to make more money .Never was asked why if they help as I was leaving or why I was leaving never receive phone call after i left ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY

Will not be going there again. whenever i schedule an appointment i end up seeing a different dr. Good luck getting someone to call you back with test results. Tried calling several times only to be transferred to an answering machine. Dont bother leaving messages, they wont call you back. There are some good people there like Carla and a couple others but for the most part, this place is very unprofessional.

These people can never get you in on time. If you have an 11:15 appt its going to be 12:30 before your seen. Then half of the time they are going to misdiagnosis you. I was told by a Dr ( not even a practitioner) that I had an infection in my finger even though I had no symptoms of an infection. Went to a hand Dr and was diagnosed with carpal tunnel. Big difference between an infection and carpal tunnel.

Ive been coming here for over a year. The past 2 appointments I have made Ive had to wait for over 2 hours to see someone. I have never seen a doctor here. Its always the PA or something. My appointment was at 12:15 today. Its now 1:53 and i have still yet to see someone. I will not be coming back here. This is just ridiculous.

I couldnt get in to see my primary care physician in a different Decatur practice for a pre-op physical and they referred me to Urgent Care. It cost them a patient! Loved the staff and the professionalism. We will be changing to this practice!!

This place always takes forever to be seen. Have waited over an hour and a half to get called back and that was with an appointment. This seems to be the norm.
