This is my second time seeing Dr. Ragsdale after Dr. Trusty and Dr. Prediger. Ive liked the exam part of my experience both times, but the first time when I ordered my glasses from their optical center I was told seven to ten bussiness days and heard nothing from them after a little over two weeks and I had to call them and found out that theyve been ready, but no one bothered to let me know about it. This time I was told that my glasses should be ready by December 23rd in which the guy that answered the phone didnt bother to tell me that they were closed for the holidays from that Friday to Monday. I told myself no big deal Ill come back on Tuesday and see if theyre ready. I got there Tuesday that morning I think I signed in at 10:06 a.m. asked if my glasses were ready. The guy told me that he would go look. He came back and said no not yet they had just got a shipment in and had to match those to their prescriptions and said that they would let me know sometime that evening. 5:30 p.m. hit and I knew that they had closed and recieved no phone call about anything not even to tell me that they were not ready yet. I decided to call on the 10th business day if you were to include observance of the the holidays being the four days that they were closed. The lady said that they werent ready yet, that theyve changed labs, and that my glasses should be ready before the week is out. It is now Monday, January 2nd and they had never called me letting me know anything not even delays. Im hoping that they call me tomorrow because that would be the 11th business day if you include the observance of both holidays and assuming that they were closed for four days for New Years also, and the third week since the day that they were ordered. I like the exams and I love the quality of the Glasses as compared to Dr. Trusty or Dr. Prediger, but I was kept in the loop with the both of them and didnt have to call to find out if my glasses were ready, and if there were any delay in the time that they were supposed to be ready they kept me informed. The only complaint is lack of communication. Not only is communication important in the workplace amongst coworkers, but it goes a long way with, patients/customers too. A positive experience is required on both sides of the spectrum as is communication. I will however continue to see Dr. Ragsdale, but Ill give their optical center another chance. After all there may have been confusion and miscommunication on both ends, but as a patient/ customer I at the very least deserve an apology and I hope I get one come time to pick up my glasses. Update: Ive gotten my glasses today as Ive hoped and they were perfect as usual! I just hope that in the future I can be kept up to date on the status of my glasses when they are ordered! Third times the charm right?!

This was my first time to go to Ragsdale and I was very pleased with the Dr visit. I ordered my glasses and it took 1.5 - 2 weeks longer than expected to come in but I was very pleased with them until 3 weeks later I pulled them out of their case to see that one lens was missing. I had put them in the case a few days before so I had no idea when or where they fell out. I searched and could not find it. Assuming that being a high class/price business it would be covered, I went in but they said they werent responsible and I would have to pay another $167 for a replacement lens. I dont have vision insurance so I had already paid $444 for the glasses which is a ridiculous price in the first place. This would have made the total cost over $600 so, needless to say, I was upset. These are FULL FRAME glasses and I showed them that there was absolutely no damage to indicate that I had done anything to cause the lens to pop out. My conclusion is that either the frame is defective or the lens wasnt installed correctly, neither of which should be my responsibility. I talked to Mark but he was resistant to paying for the new lens. I went back home and a few days later I finally found the lens. At that price I expect them to stand behind their products. I have had better service and much better prices at WalMart and CostCo which is where I will go in the future. (Reply to owners response) Thanks for your response Mark. As we discussed in your office, I dont need to wear those glasses full time and it is completely impractical for me to do so since I have two other sets that I need at different times - prescription sunglasses for when Im driving and a pair of computer/reader glasses since I spend most of my work day at the computer. All other glasses that Ive ever purchased have lasted years, even my prior half-rim pair. In addition, it makes absolutely no sense for you to say that it isnt safe to store the glasses in the case that came with the glasses. It is not true that you offered to replace anything. What good would it do for you to offer to replace the lens if I still had it? When I spoke to CostCo they said they would have replaced the lens if it was within 60 (I believe) days.

Doctor was nice and the only bright spot, thus one star. Service after the examination was terrible. They did not explain the "real cost of glasses" until after the bill was presented, encouraging me to use my $100.00 insurance toward the purchase, which still ended up being four times higher than buying elsewhere!!! My wife came back for a second visit, based on them telling her she needed another exam. They never told her that the exam was not covered by our insurance until afterwards and the exam brought zero value to her, but $150.00 to them. They never called me about my super expensive glasses when they arrived. I had to call them. When I did call, they left me on hold until the phone system forced a ring back to them. They thought I was a new caller! The glasses had been sitting over a week. The manager of the eye glass center is unfriendly. She did not care. Her attitude was very put offish. When someone is not happy, better to ask why and look for resolution versus not caring. I will never use Ragsdale again. I detest bad service! I especially detest way overpaying for and getting bad service on top of that!!!! Advice - If you use them, get your prescription filled elsewhere! You are sure to get better prices and absolutely better service!!!! Well done to ownership for taking the time to call me and offer a refund and an explanation on the need for my wifes 2nd exam! Obviously, you care! And, caring is a beautiful thing! Thus, I will upgrade my rating from 1 to 3 stars! Thank you, Jennifer Ragsdale! I wish you only goodness and success!
