I have been going to this vet for a few years. I used to love them. They have been gradually getting bad about their staff and their prices. I had two of my dogs given the wrong medication that has given them seizures before. And i was just told oops sorry. And charged full for the meds and separate fees for each dog, that i was told would be waived. Because of the mistake, and it was not! I boarded my dogs for one week there. I have always been told i have very healthy and beautiful bulldogs. When i went to pick them up 2 of the bulldogs had yeast infections on their face. One bulldogs was so bad it was bleeding. One bulldog had poop stuck on his butt and tail so bad that when i got it off it was raw skin. Then our female had two infected paws, one had an open oozing sore on it! I spent 1200 boarding them for a week to get tortured. I talked to the owner about this when he finally called me back a week later! And all he said was well Im sorry i wasnt here so i dont know what i can do. I thought he cared about the animals and would at least try to make this right. I had to go take all the dogs to another vet for treatment, because he never called me. Which was another 600. But now Im writing to let other pet owners know. Dr Garza expanded his boarding to make more money. These dogs are NOT cared for or looked after by anybody with vet knowledge. Or my dogs wouldnt have gotten so sick. Please board your dogs ANYWHERE else! Dr Hunt is a great vet that works there. But the boarding is horrible if you love your babies and want them cared for well.

I have to give this a 3 stars. So far the vet Im most pleased with is Dr. Hunt, for how she treated my dog(s) Django and Shianne. Her care of them has been great. My spouse also likes another female vet who saw Django on his last shot. The vet that saw my kitten was pretty good too, but both of their names escape me at the moment. BUT..... Im extremely annoyed with these guys right now. I called in to request a script of de-wormer for my previously stray kitten. It USED to be when I was a vet tech, stray animals were automatically de-wormed due to unknown health history, when animals appear healthy enough to handle the dose. Im not a moron, and know what a tapeworm infestation looks like when "rice grains" are evident in a previously stray kittens stool. The kitten was just seen in this clinic last Tuesday. A fecal loop shouldve been done then, but I figured when we bring him back for his next shots we could ask about that, as getting a clean stool sample for testing is somewhat problematic with kittens who view the litter box as a big ol sand box. As a general rule, giving a broad spectrum de-wormer that covers tape worms to a kitten is NOT going to hurt in any way shape or form as long as its at the recommended dosage. Which for my kitten at around 3lbs, Drontal would be ~ 9mg praziquantel / 36 mg pyrantel. This would effectively cover the most common parasites found in cats: hook, tape and round worms. And this, my friends, is why people buy OTC stuff that doesnt work, then they have to keep re-treating.

I have been going to Dr. Garza, or East El Paso Animal Hospital for 12+ years. The staff is always professional, respectful, nice and attentive; the facility is always clean and the veterinarians genuinely have your pets best interest at heart. I rescued a dog from animal services displaying a limp that could have been a fracture. Because of the cost of an x-ray, Dr. Garza advised me to try medication first in case it was an inflammatory issue and to save spending hundreds of dollars before ruling out another possible problem. My family also had 120 pound dog that was old, arthritic and could not get into any of our vehicles as they were all too high. Dr. Garza made house calls and was happy to do so. Lastly, I temporarily moved to Austin and could not find a Veterinary office that was comparable to East El Paso Animal Hospital. Upon moving back to El Paso, I was most excited to get our dogs vet back! My dogs are like my kids and I trust the East El Paso Animal Hospital staff more than I do anyone with them. All grooming, boarding and needs are met through this facility. I know this was a long review but I really wanted to emphasize the quality of care this facility offers. I highly, highly recommend them!

this place is awful.... they try and charge you for every little thing. I brought my dog there a few times and called them asking a few questions and they were rude to me. Im not sure if its just ALL of El Paso or just this place but they have awful customer service. And on top of it they try and get you for everything and convince you your dog needs this and that for an extra $$. They tried convincing me that my dog needed dental work because his puppy teeth werent going to fall out on their own, but i tried to tell the vet that they have been falling out just fine. So i took him to another place and they said he was perfectly fine and that they were just trying to squeeze me for more money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

I was going to give a 4 but it really didnt pertain to the care and service I received. the only thing I dont like is there is no appointments its all done by walk in which is a norm here in el paso. Okay so my fur baby has been limping for two weeks needless to say I was afraid he broke his paw. Long story short he just has arthritis. The vet was great. He listened to everything I said, was gentle with my old pup, and really had his best interest at heart. He was calm and did a full exam. He made sure I understood all my options and we worked out a game plan to get my pup back on his feet. Thank you east el paso Im happy I found you guys to take my pups too.

Dr. Garza is an excellent vet. He met me at 9:30 at night to take care of my dog Chloe. She was in a lot of pain and he met us at the clinic even though it was late. I am so thankful he was willing to take the time to meet us. She had to stay overnight and have surgery the next day and his office kept me informed every step of the way. If it were not for the dedication of Dr. Garza and East El Paso Animal Hospital, I would have had to take my dog to the emergency clinic and it would have been a lot more expensive. This place is the only place I trust to take care of both of my babies!! They love my pets almost as much as I do.

The vets are truly a great caring Vets Wont turn you away if your pets sick .My pet got a hold of a box of chocolate last Christmas and ate it all. I was afraid my pet would die. That night I called the Vet and He guided me through the process of getting her well.He didnt tell me tough lady deal with it. No he stood on the phone patiently and calmly helped. The next morning he called to check on my pet. Which I didnt expect. Thank goodness for real Vets that truly care its not just for the money like other vets do. Im confident With Dr. Garza and his staff they are amazing. Couldnt say enough positive words about them.
